Why did the best monster series die off?

Too hard for you?

>me and friend about 11-12
>buy MR2 with combined allowance money, pretty much on a whim, just promo shots on a magazine demo disk
>blown away
>use all discs we can find
>buy CDRW
>burn one song
>get plain unmixed monster
>2 tracks
>same monster mixed with something else

>Gali was my MR2 Champion
>Durihan MR3 Champion
>Mustardy MR4 Champion
A new monster rancher game is the only thing that could make me buy the new consoles

Its dead forever right.

There was a mobile game that lasted until 2014 iirc but other than that the last game was DS in 2010.
The only MR thing released since then was the DVD sets.

I can't even remember if the show was any good. I only really remember Suezo.

It was the best of the 3 mon shows in my opinion. The fights really stood out especially in the last season where they enter the legend cup.

I definitely remember Digimon and Pokemon more but maybe i just watched them more often.

Because it require a CD to be fun at the time, which can be expensive if your friends doesn't own a PS1. Oh top with a mediocre show, there isn't much going for it.

The handheld ones didn't require any CDs or anything and they had much more challenging game play than Pokemon. Plus the whole virtual pet aspect.

I remember going from Rank B to A being a wide gap, lets not forget all your hard work could die of old age, I think that scared normies away

Handheld is dominated by Pokemon regardless, got Nintendo backing it up, and everyone knowing what it was. Rancher was under it shadow.

You should try the one on the ds. It was basically Monster Hunter 2

>Rancher*

Fuck

Dunno about you guys, but I got all the best monsters from AC/DC, weird al cds and terminatora and die hard movies

>me about 11
>buy MR2 because it has cool looking monsters
>choose the dinosaur because dinosaurs are cool
>train it and enter fights, generally don't do too well
>a few days later my dinosaur fucking dies

Man I spent so many hours on Monster Rancher 4 back in the day. It's like the definition of comfy

Monsters dying was a mistake. Digimon World committed the same mistake.

Might as well make a clicker game if you have all the time in the world to make a super monster.

>hy did the best monster series die off?
Because they kept removing monster as the series went on. 1 had a good amount, 2 and all that and more, then 3 and on they would only bring some of the monsters back and make up a bunch of new ones. I would be all for a new Monster Rancher as long as they bring back every monster.

>it didn't even got represented in Warriors All-Stars

Who Plant Master Race here?
