Enemies explode on death

>enemies explode on death
>enemies explode on death into poison clouds

This can be a good mechanic though. Having to be mindful of zoning during combat can be tense

>you can detonate bodies

>dungeon crawler
>miniboss drops a 5 second aoe on death that will quickly kill you
>forced to stand around waiting to grab your loot

>enemies explode on death
>turn based game
>turns between player party and enemy party alternate
>exploding enemy just uses ridiculously generous movement stat to walk right up to your squad
>there's no abilities to block them off or hinder their approach at all
>since the turns alternate you can't do shit to them since they just run up to you asap

>killing floor 2
>albino crawlers are added
>gorefiends are added
Fuck you, tripwire.

>enemies explode into more enemies

>enemy shits out a fucking lightning storm all around him when hit

>undead stygian dolls

>boss places red marker on the floor
>3 seconds later fire erupts on the spot
>people die in it

Fucking PVE idiots

...

>enemies can heal

irc

>basic enemies can grab you for a 5 second QTE
>6 of the fuckers surround you and force you into a minute of QTE defending

This is literally Grim Dawn, except mobs do it, too, and the poison clouds last 10 seconds, no joke.

>those fucking bone pygmies in d2
killed so many of my hc characters before i wised up and just run from them

I was actually talking about grim dawn, though I didnt get too far in, so the first guy of the "put them to rest" quest in act 1 was the extent of my experience with that cancer.

>enemies explode on death
>turn based game
>enemy walks up and attacks
>automatically 1 shot counter enemy

that's not cancer

this is cancer

Fucking dumb

On high level fractals (GW2) you can actually get fucked up mechanics like exploding-knockback enemies while the game itself applies random death areas around the player, if he goes down an asshole mob with a nearly instakill spawns and tries to skull fuck the entire party.
High level shit should be challenging, not just pure bullshit

Some hollow knight enemies come to mind.
