>le drm

you werent going to buy it anyway

i am, regardless. have to support my arle!

Not him, and I've replied to you the last time we had this thread, but I'm definitely not buying it solely because of Denuvo now. I figured Denuvo wouldn't be that bad, so I bought Sonic Mania, only to find the game arbitrarily refusing to let me run it at times, having to pull out my phone to use it as a hotspot just to have a chance of being able to play it outside of my house - not to mention being unable to discuss the game because every thread became about Denuvo. I figured that with how quickly it got cracked and how immense the backlash was, they'd have learned their lesson. Evidently not.

I was hyped as fuck for PC PPT before I heard it had Denuvo. Now I'll just pirate it and wish Sega could go back to not being cancerous as fuck.

Fuck Sega.

>you werent going to buy it anyway
Fuck off, retard. You don't know shit about anything.

I was
I'm not now
I'll just keep playing TGM

I already pirated it on 3DS. I absolutely would have bought it here.

Can I just play Tetris?
What's a good alternative for Tetris on PC?

I only bought 2 Denuvo games and that's god eater and Doom. They took off Denuvo on doom. When are they taking it off Puyo puyo?

Never. This is Sega. They don't give a shit if you don't like it.

They are going to have Z rotate clockwise and X rotate counter-clockwise, right? Anything else would be unacceptable.

You can rotate in either direction

I know that. I just hope those are the default controls. Or at least, I'm able to modify them to be that on some menu.

What the fuck
For some reason I thought you were talking about Z and X blocks, and autistically wanting them to rotate in a specific way.

METEO
TAKION
BURAKKU HOORU
KUEESA
BIGGU BAN

emulate TGM

>x blocks

Just buy it for another system.

Oh shucks, I guess I'll have to pirate it, I had the money ready to buy this.

I'm just upset of Denuvo because of No Modding until it gets Cracked
>Inb4 YOU JUST WANT NUDE MODS
NO, i want the the Cameo Charcters to be playable(Dongurigaeru, Onion Pixy & Oniko, Lidelle/Rider, Ocean Prince, Mrs Accord and Yu & Rei), the Japs haven't added a single character or mode in the 3 Ports they have done because MUH TWENTY FOUR, I also want Classic Compile Characters like Pic releated or Dead Fevers like Oshare or Tarutaru

>muh drm boogeyman

>Pirated it previously.
>Decides to continue pirating different versions of the game because DRM.
>Refuses to support the 3DS version without Denuvo because the new PC version has Denuvo.

What? I can undetstand not supporting DRM practices but you sound like you'd pirate this game on any platform regardless of DRM.

OSHA

Not a bad idea. Hadn't thought of that.

first day pirate mang.

sega went full retard, the least we can do is save money from her retardedness.

To be fair complaining about DRM in this instance is dumb because it's a multiplayer game anyway.

So why do people demonize Denuvo but buy all their games through Steam where it typically at least has Steamworks as DRM? Why is one okay but not the other?

>i-it's not okay either
How come all your games are on Steam then.

3DS games are terribly expensive on my country, I only have a 3DS because I can pirate it, same with the vita.

But on Steam I have hundreds of games I bought because the price is right.

I too was on the verge of buying this game until I heard of denuvo, now out of spite I'll just pirate it on the 3DS.

>Inb4 YOU JUST WANT NUDE MODS

Do people actually use this as an argument?

>To be fair complaining about DRM in this instance is dumb because it's a multiplayer game anyway.

I mean you're not going to pirate it in the first place.

>cant play local coop anywhere

There's your problem.

>I mean you're not going to pirate it in the first place.

Games released on Steam don't actually require Steamworks DRM though. Some games work without even launching Steam

>local coop on PC

What does Denuvo do that's so bad? I heard it kills performance, but every game I play that has Denuvo plays flawlessly. I wouldn't even know it existed if it weren't for threads like this.

Some dude defended Denuvo by saying basically ''OH DUDE I CAN'T WAIT FOR A NUDE ARLE MODE LOL AM I RITE''

Did I stutter?

Some but that's hardly even close to all.

>What is a Steamlink

Holy shit, I've seen this template answer in so many places.

Do denuvo shills have a software to monitor online forums? Then they just click on some denuvo UI and there's a template for a denuvo defense response?

>plug in 2 or more controllers
>monitors are perfectly reasonably sized
If people could play consoles on these tiny ass things, they can certainly play on a 20 inch monitor

requires internet for phone homes and disables modding to start

Why not just get the PS4 or Switch version in that case?

>lag

There's no room at a computer desk.

Can we stop parroting this meme? Automata got a mod literally within the first week or two fixing performance issues and it still has Denuvo.

>lag
Not on my 1gbit LAN

>Holy shit, I've seen this template answer in so many places.

This is the first time I've ever posted in a Denuvo thread. Do you have an answer to my question or not? I want someone to actually tell me what's bad about Denuvo without just saying shit like ">Denuvo" or accusing anyone who questions the anti-Denuvo groupthink of being a shill while dodging any real questions.

I seriously didn't know Denuvo existed until I noticed the threads on Sup Forums. What is the problem with it?

Because a laptop can do the same shit and is 10,000x more available then dragging around a console, a tv, and a laptop that I'm going to be carrying with me anyway.

Mods exist for MGSV and that most certainly has denuvo.

>requires internet for phone homes and disables modding to start

Steam also requires internet, so not anything new for me. So if I don't care about having to be online and I don't care about mods...?

What actually harmful thing does it do?

Why does every argument against PC coop and comfyness come down to some fucknugget having a trash setup?

If you aren't living under a rock you'd know PC has already become the best local coop platform in the last years.

steam doesnt require internet

>>lag
Oh yeah, I'm totes sure that 1/100 second delay is what actually cost you that match instead of you sucking.

>gaming on a laptop
Oh no

Most desks only have space underneath for one chair/person, even if you're skinny before you call me a lardass.

poorfags defending their consoles

>gaming on a console

aw shit

It does if you don't change it in settings beforehand. If you have an unprepared for internet outage and you didn't change it, you're fucked.

Then don't game at the desk? Holy fuck.
I got 3 monitors and 1 TV connected.
Either we can chill in front of the TV with whatever seating you want or just pull up one monitor to the edge of the desk and again sit down however you fucking want.

>paying for tetris

>Local coop on PC
>played locally Duck game, Melee, and other games with my co-workers and friends with my PC
Hahaha you are such a faggot. Don't act like it can't be done.
>T-theres no room at a computer desk!
Yeah you can stop baiting now. Just connect your PC to the TV via HDMI or provide another chair. Don't tell me you have a tiny ass set up.

>Most desks only have space underneath for one chair/person
Oh man, so hard

I would have from the humble monthly

You know it's gonna be on there eventually

Would have played it with PC friends.
Denuvo is shit.

If you go into offline mode for too long it'll lock you out until you log back in for a DRM check.

wait its coming to pc?

Why does a fucking PUYO PURO game have DRM? Why?

Protip: The 3ds version wasn't released outside of Japan.

Japanese Devs and PC

Literally all you have to do is change you computers date and your good.

>You can only play pc games at a desk

store.steampowered.com/app/546050/Puyo_PuyoTetris/

You can't manually set the time on Windows 10, only the timezone.

>Disables modding to start
>Sonic Mania and Sonic Forces, both packing Denuvo, are moddable

I'll give you the phone home shit, but don't just parrot everything you read online.

>Windows 10

Why are you lying?

Huh... I guess you can. They just buried it to where I didn't realize it was still in there. I genuinely didn't know this before right now.

FUCK SEGA
Didn't buy mania and I'm not buying this either

Even this retort, holy shit.

Denuvo shills are real.

I CAN'T WAIT

>"Why is this thing bad?"
>"You must be a shill!"
>"No but really, why is it bad?"
>"See! That proves you're a shill!"

I just wanted an answer user, holy shit. Clearly you don't have one and you're just bandwagoning about "muh drm is evil." However, from what I've gathered in this thread the only downsides seem to be needing to always be online and not being able to mod the game, and neither of those things are dealbreakers for me so I'll just continue to not care while you act like the sky is falling and everyone on the internet is out to get you.

Yeah, on console. I refuse to support denuvo's destructive practices desu ne

Denuvo is an anti-malware whose purpose is to just fuck your shit up. You can go and find benchmarks of Doom 2016 before Denuvo was removed and after and there's a marked differeence in performance on the same settings.

Most of the performance cost comes from it not just going through the entirety of the game's contents repeatedly to make sure nothing else is fucking with it, it burns reads doing this, which is absolutely fucking atrocious for a solidstate drive. Imagine a dog licking a plate. It's eventually going to lick right through the plate because the dog is that fucking dumb. Denuvo is the retard dog that licks the plate through even though there's nothing there.

It also requires you be connected to the internet at all times. This is more bad for rural users, who often rely on shoddy microwave or cellphone internet because (Insert ISP here) sure as fuck doesn't wanna throw down the millions to even run a copper telephone line to half these places. It's a big issue in >canada

I don't care any more. I'm going to kill myself long before Denuvo goes down anyway, it's not like it will inconvenience me.

Since that other guy's spouting memes like a broken record, I'll answer.

>wreaks havoc on SSDs due to the constant read/writes
>takes a bite out of performance on some computers
>may render games unable to play offline due to requiring authorization
>said authorization is dependent on third-party servers that can go down or turned off at any time
>locks out modding

>it burns reads doing this, which is absolutely fucking atrocious for a solidstate drive

SSDs don't have a limited number of reads, though. Only a limited number of writes.
