I'm writing a story about a male Roe mercenary who's a bit of a rough fellow but has a good heart. He helps free Ala Mhigo from the Garleans but is gravely wounded in the battle. Desperate and injured, he finds his way into a potion storeroom. He gulps down a flask of sweet-smelling liquid thinking it's a Max Potion.

He falls into a deep sleep before even being able to find a place to rest. Upon waking up, he discovers that it wasn't a Max Potion he drank - it was a Fantasia. He looks down at his new body and is horrified to discover he's become a busty, bushy-tailed Suncat. He scrambles around looking for another Fantasia but can't find anything. His new body feels weird and uncomfortable and his mind is swimming with emotions. He wanders out of the storeroom and is found by the Resistance having just liberated Ala Mhigo. He tries to explain that he was a mercenary but they just think he was a Garlean prisoner whose mind has been addled by the stress and siege. The Roe-turned-Catgirl eventually ends up working in the infirmary, helping the Allied medics aid the wounded.

Day by day, he becomes more comfortable with his new body, embracing his role as a nurse and healer. His thoughts become more girly, and his sexuality begins changing. His mental resistance to his feminine body crumbles when he meets a male Highlander Resistance member who he falls in love with. She begins to fully accept her life as a woman and comes to completely love being female. They eventually marry and she begins her own infirmary in Ala Mhigo. A few years later, she finds another Fantasia while cleaning out
a backroom. She smiles as she picks it up, then places her hand on her pregnant belly, feeling her child kick. She carefully disposes of the Fantasia and heads back home to her
loving husband.

Absolutely not. Some blizzard dick suckers will always try to point out WoW in this argument but that game has been stagnating in quality for years and the recent "expansions" are a laughing stock.
FFXIV only keeps on improving over time, as well as the base experience being much better than its competitiors. It has its problems, of course, but the level of quality and playability is miles above its competition.

It's been iterating since 2.1. You are correct that it is very playable and smartly-designed in terms of UI and accessibility (which MMOs tend to be poor at), but it's maintaining that almost at the expense of trying anything.

Agreed with you up until this point, SB so far has been a step backwards from the previous expensions. So far it's offered literally less content with there being fewer dungeons added along with the expansion only bringing two classes, rather than three, plus them both being DPS which most seem to agree was a poor choice that only served to further increase the issues players face when it comes to finding a tank or healer. While opinion on class changes is just opinion, one thing that is just fucked is how terrible tank stats has been handled with the vit and str changes leaving players scratching their heads and using lower gear because it is simply better.

Housing has been a catastrophe for a long time and only recently has started to get a better but is still shown to have faults, more which will probably appear when it's opened up to the public rather than just guilds. Along with all that the very linear gearing and simple "log in just to do dailies and nothing else" nature of the game grew stagnate with many long term players long ago.

kirin is a mount and they already stated that koryu is imprisoned in the shrine

WoW and FFXIV are the king and queen at the moment. Nothing else really even comes close.

Looking at the job listings on the SE recruitment page and you can kind of understand why. YoshiP needs so many employees all across the different fields of game design. SE has bled him dry and taken his team off him to get the other big three games finished. XIV exists to pump more money into XV, KHIII and the VII remake. We're just the suckers willing to pay a barebones experience so other gamers enjoy bigger games.

People surge to v3, overconfident in the ease of the previous fight, and get clogged in the ClearGuardian™ Casual Filter. The DPS check is too tough for most people this early in the raid cycle, although the 360 weapon will probably change that.

The who bit from Keeper of the Lake -> Ayz Lla is Midgardsomr stripping you of the Blessing of Light to prove to him that you're capable without being helped by Hydaelyn. You basically prove to him that you're strong enough to save the world alone.

The Blessing of Light is what makes your character special, not the Echo. Minfilia, Krile, and Ysayle also had/have the Echo, and Garlemald figured out how to implant and artificial Echo. Did you miss that bit in Stormblood?

You never die, all your wipes are Echo visions of what could happen but since you're able to forsee it all, you 1 shot every boss.

When you wipe its the echo showing you a future where you fuck up and die. You clearing something means you listened to the echo and avoided those mistakes. But then again the Echo seems to do a lot seeing as how when fighting the WoDs they used the echo to reinvigorate themselves in the fight

I have never seen a roe tank masspull in over 3 years, the only time I ever left a dungeon was because the roe tank was pulling too little

All the primals they've added in SB are a joke. Byakko EX is one of the easiest fights in forever and Lakshmi EX was embarrassing. Shinryu EX was the only thing they at least tried on.

Echo comes in varying powers. MC has the super duper bullshit plot device echo, where as NPCs usually have baby shit versions of the echo that barely work.

i just got done with the level 20 stuff, joined a FC and got a chocobo. i'm now doing quests that just seem to involve me running around the map and teleporting between the main cities on a constant basis. i just did a quest where i had to dump a bucket of water on a guy. this is after i just killed one of these Primal things that are incredibly powerful. everything about this feels like filler they put in as a fuck you to everyone who didn't like 1.0

it's like that for a while. Then it gets pretty cool for a bit. Then it goes back to that. Then it gets REALLY GOOD for a pretty good chunk of time. Then it doesn't go back to fetch quests but it doesn't quite reach the heights it once had.

Titan didn't have hard mechanics, the only problem with that fight was that they had to adjust the server ticks in the instance so it was less easy to get fucked over by lag
