They don't make it back into the other material, and I can't say if some names stick as part of a style guide or simply for consistency, so its ambiguous. The only one I can think of Cooler name-dropping "Death Beam" in FUNi's Cooler's Revenge dub.

Toei throws ludicrous amounts of money at Dragon Ball Super, it's the horrid production schedule that stops most episodes from looking good. And even still, Super has had some pretty solid episodes in terms of direction, art, and animation before.

Why does Goku have to cup his hands to do the kamehameha? Why does vegeta have to do the charge up for the final flash? Why does piccolo have to touch his forehead to do a special beam cannon? It's just anime stuff man, otherwise everything would be too samey.

So Gohans kamehameha is weird. I noticed the damage happens at different rates depending on who helps? A Gohan/Goten/Goku hits the slowest but has the widest beam, a Gohan/Goku hits a bit faster and has a slightly smaller beam, Gohan/Goten is the second smallest beam but hits faster than the previous 2, and a Solo Gohan beam is tiny but it hits the fastest. I actually think the Solo beam is the best one if it lands.
