Do you follow orders in Multiplayer games or are you that kid who just has do his own thing and can't follow basic commands, Sup Forums?

Example:
Overwatch Pro/Raidleader with a 160IQ tells you to do something. Do you do it or do you go "NONONO x-D"?

Sounds like someone's raid got shit on because someone didn't pull.

Why don't you go talk to them instead of getting butt hurt on here.

lol right? What kind of loser talks about videogames on the videogames board?

I'm always acting like a wildcard. Fuck wannabe stategears, I'm doing my own thing.

i don't follow twats with delusions about their intelligence like you, OP, thats for sure

>raid
I followed the fucking strat. Nobody told me what the fuck to do because I was usually main tanking, and main tanks don't grow on trees.

>listen to me! go deep, when we are outnumbered
>I don't care that you are at less than 30%, i'll win the fight, cause I'm pro
No thank you. 99% of the time I listen to you faggots against my own judgement, it's a fucking shitshow.

...

>not being that kamikaze pilot that just say fuck it and zerg rushes .0001 seconds in to a match ange gets at least 2, maybe 3 kills

there is no other way to play. you need to make it clear to your team that you go balls to the wall 100 reel fuggin quick and that you take no survivors

I go fast

>overwatch
>pro

Are you?

Best defense is taking motherfuckers into the ground with you.

me when im trying desu, when i know we are fucked i just troll the campers trying to pad their stats.

usually you get told to do something retarded by some loser who can't comprehend what's going on, so no I don't follow """orders"""

If I feel like it, maybe.

You get interrogated by Caviar then, better stick with the team.

being in a team that coordinates and doesn't have a leader is kino

fuck having someone bossing over me, you're not better than me

People often ask me how Splatoon works without voice chat. Kinda like this.

>tells you to do something
I politely ask him to stick to reporting the situation and not give any orders.

>asking
Won't change shit. Just ignore/mute and play the objective

I don't play PvP-centered games like TF2 or Overwatch so that's a non-issue. When it comes to PvE games I'll ask the more experienced players for advice and take their suggestions. If it's a PvE game where I know the most then I'll explain how things work and suggest a plan, but I don't give orders.

>thinking you're 'good'
You're shit and not self aware enough to realize you are shit.
If you are 'in the trench' then it's because you are objectively not good enough to be higher.

>Just ignore/mute
And get killed by a flanker that he reported to the rest of the team. You do realise that you are an idiot?

I'm more than willing to follow orders in a serious competitive game, but overwatch is not one of those.

Depends. If I know what I'm doing and know the trying to call the shots is a dipshit then I'm going to let everyone know what I'm doing and I'm going to do it. If it's the reverse, I'll stick around.

>And get killed by a flanker that he reported to the rest of the team.
Minimaps exists
>You do realise that you are an idiot?
Because I don't want to engage a teammate into useless talking? The moment you go into a discussion, you've already lost.

>What kind of loser talks about videogames on the videogames board?
>Sup Forums
>videogame board
Oh, it was once.
But that was a long time ago.

Everyone is smiling and having fun. What's the issue, faggot?

No, why? I'm playing the game for fun, following orders of some fuckwit is not fun.
>OW
>160IQ
please

>Minimaps exists
Name me a non-shit game that has a minimap that shows enemy positions. And tell me what kind of non-obvious orders can the 160 iq guy (or any guy for that matter) give when you have that much information readily availible.

Post more of those drawings
I love them

>And tell me what kind of non-obvious orders can the 160 iq guy (or any guy for that matter) give when you have that much information readily availible.
Exactly none. That's why I mute as soon as someone starts giving orders/telling others how to play.
>Name me a non-shit game that has a minimap that shows enemy positions.
Moving goalposts

>1-2 people actually trying to objective
>everybody else is doing jack shit

The most appropriate image yet.

Sometimes I wonder why do games even include voice chat if it brings nothing.

Third one is trying to take the wheel and put it back on.

And of the two not doing anything, one of them is probably complaining about people not playing to the objective.

sorry about dumb arrows and useless marks didn't have original pic

I usually don't know what I'm doing so I'll happily follow orders if they're given unless the person giving them sounds like they have even less of a clue than me. The problem is most of the time people won't actually talk (on PS4 anyway); and a lot of the time people give their advice after the event (i.e. "wow, I can't believe the team didn't go this route, what a bunch of retards").
I have occasionally learned things while playing World of Tanks from angry teammates and successfully applied them in future matches.

If whoever wants to "lead" sounds competent or has a plan that amounts to more than "kill da enemy xD" I'll follow his lead.
If it's some mouthbreather saying stupid shit all the time like "kill the enemy!" or "don't die" he's getting ye olde' mute.

I can't be the leader because I have poor social skills and fuck up my sentences - but I have no problem following instructions from someone else as long as they seem competent.

>In a random raid group
>Sitting quietly doing everything people ask of me
>One literal retard (He had a lisp so I'm assuming) has designated himself the leader of the group and loudly explains everything over and over again
>Everything he's explaining is wrong, or needlessly complicated
>After failing at one section for 20 minutes politely ask him to turn his microphone off, then proceed to explain everything that needs to be done in a very short, simplistic way
>He's so offended he leaves, a 10 year old replaces him
>Explain again very quickly what to do
>Finish first try
It seems so common that the first person to speak up and designate themselves as the leader is a dunce, I can't count how many times I've followed these people to disastrous results.

Randoms barely ever say something useful.
And if you're playing with people you know, chances are that you use other means of communication instead of ingame voice chat

Isn't it an old adage or truism or something that the people who want to lead the most are the least suited to it and vice versa

I just always assume those random people on my team are shitters that I have to carry through with my superior knowledge and skill, and do what I please, ignoring the fact that this is precisely what makes me a shitter as well.

I play for fun

>Rated top 250 in First person Pubg EU
>Duo partner never listens to me

Hate how people are scared to shoot in this game and just watch people walk past, only excuse to not shoot is if 2 groups of people are fighting, then you kill the winner

>ugh why doesn't he know me???
Pathetic.

It depends on how they say it

If they call me a retard and tell me to do something else I have a really hard time following it and will usually keep doing whatever I was doing wrong, knowing it's wrong, just because I don't want to give someone like that the pleasure

So you're basically a petty child.

>t. guy who can't go 3 words without hurling profanities and insults
You're the reason your team is losing, if you just shut your childish mouth everyone would perform better.

In low skill teirs it's best to research a strat and ignore others. At low skill the loudest people are always the dumbest.

I find it physically difficult to cooperate with people so vile they resort to personal insults over trivial video game shit

>Do you follow orders in Multiplayer games
No.

Uh oh it's a brainlet everybody talk slow or he'll get belligerent

In my experience you won't change what you are doing no matter how nicely your asked because you have an issue with other people. Which is why I don't ask anymore. I just abandon them to being stupid. You are happier that way too.

Well done.

>asking nicely
YOU FUCKING RETARDS GO TO THE FUCKING OBJECTIVE PLEASE

>Wahh! Wahh! Someone on the Internet said an offhand remark that any reasonable person would have brushed off instantly but I have to take it personally! Why is everyone so mean q.q
My favorite interaction in online gaming is when someone insults me, so I assume they're down for bantz and I insult them back, and they get extremely butthurt and leave the game, probably what you two do as well lol.

>leader gets killed because he at the front
>group devolves into chaos/egoism

>that medic in front
You got me

I play singleplayer games or multiplayer games that aren't team based because there people can't call me a retard for making mistakes.

>implying people say it to randoms for bants

It's a different thing if you're playing with bros

Why the fuck should I listen to some NEET calling me a failed abortion

Iv tried everything and nothing works. If you ask nicely the retards pretend they are deaf. If you get loud and shout at them suddenly they are the loudest retards on the team and actively trying to lose.
If someone is stupid I don't ask them anything. I report them, move lanes, find a new lobby etc. Oh and I also play a lot less online games now and took up sports. Gamers are the biggest losers on this planet. They are alone in their rooms for a reason.

I hate playing with others so in games like LoL I always try to win without my team. I would rather not talk to or listen to anyone and even as adc all I do is split push as far away from the others as possible.

if ANYBODY dares to tell me what to do, I am not healing them or not helping them or doing the direct opposite, whatever I can to sabotage the entire team or the game or the match. Who the fuck do you think you are?

Exactly. This is why team games are bad and everyone should stop playing them.

>someone trying to assert 'leadership' in an online game
Eat a dick, I'll do what I like

I don't get killed by flankers because I just rush the enemy team as Pharah and try to shoot better than them. I hate pussys who sit back behind tanks and I hate tanks and I hate snipers. The entire game is just so shit but at least nobody can stop me from flying in and dying repeatedly.

>Iv tried everything and nothing works.
It's almost as if it's a new set of people every game.
Now ask yourself, which will yield the best results:
>Shouting profanities and insulting everyone while relaying your plan
>relaying your plan without sperging

>having to take up the reins
I hate it, don't put this responsibility on me

I generally will try to cohere to a plan if there is one, but I'm also not too shy to get on mic and say a plan isn't working if it's not. And if that's the case, I expect the leader or whoever will take his comrades opinion into consideration and try switching things up. If he turns out to be an ass about it and maintain that "we're just not doing it right", then yeah, I'm probably gonna just go off mic and kill hound til teams rebalance. I do give folks a chance though, because when it does work and a rando team pulls it out like a SWAT team, it feels awesome. It's worth it to try.

If you try and be the team player you generally invite more aggression against you because people see you as a push over and a target for their frustration.

Autism: the post.

>has autism
You missed one user. You don't need to have a high overall IQ to score high in the segments that would be useful in video games. All-rounders are barely worth the time to deal with.

You should learn some reading comprehension.

>join new match/game
>have no clue wtf is going
>actually would like someone just tell me what to do

Why don't you give constructive criticism instead of throwing a tantrum if you're that smart?

I like to help others, since I think it generally leads to everyone having more fun, myself included. So if someone makes a plan that makes sense, I'll probably go with it.

constructive criticism is still criticism and that's mean. don't be mean online, it's not hard. you wouldn't "constructively criticize" me in real life without getting your teeth knocked out. what makes you think I'm not googling your username to find your email and link it to you?

The angsty teams act like they are deaf because they can't even take constructive criticism and would rather throw a match. Talking to young boys online is pointless. Everyone hates them for a reason.

Do point out where I failed to comprehend your post.
>implying you even know

I'm a dumb jarhead, I'm good at following orders

Just re read it and concentrate. Take in the whole meaning instead of one sentence that grabs your attention because you can sperg out over it.

>he doesn't know
Can't say I'm surprised. No more (you)'s for you.

From left to right
>hanzo main
>tilted dickhead on mic
>healer
>me (tank)

>constructive criticism
>YOU SUCK

>refuses to read posts
>comments anyway

Implying you would ever stop responding to someone that is making you look stupid. Lel

in AoE2 with a bunch of randoms I try to at least tell the others what I´m going for so that they can act in consequence when the skill level is about equal. if they have lower ELO I´m a little more bossy and if they are higher usually follow whatever they tell me if possible. it just makes sense to me

when playing with random people i play how i like because i don't care about them, what they do, or what they say in the first place. I only follow orders when playing with friends.

This

Random people are basically NPCs anyway with how big game communities are now

It's not like you'll ever meet them again, they may as well be advanced AI

this is barely related but i need to vent
>role based team game
>both teams take in turns picking their characters
>1st person on each team picks their character, no one says anything
>2nd person picks, nothing said
>3rd person picks, nothing said
>4th person picks, nothing said
>5th persons turn to pick: 'I can't play [remaining role]'

I miss games having dedicated servers so you could just find a server with likeminded people and just have a good time.

>Overwatch Pro/Raidleader with a 160IQ tells you to do something. Do you do it or do you go "NONONO x-D"?
I tell him that being a "raidleader" isn't an accomplishment and that the online IQ test he took isn't real and that even if it was IQ means very little when it comes to a humans ability to practically apply their knowledge (ie low IQ mechanics can contribute more to the real world than a high IQ grad student who has no practical experience in anything) in the real world.

If you actually view yourself as the person you described OP you need to talk to a shrink. Get your head checked. If you think you are SO smart but you can never convince people to listen to you then chances are maybe you aren't as smart as you think.

*tips fedora*

The person who failed to communicate what they can't play is just as bad as the person who didn't communicate what they were thinking of picking. A failure in communication like that is the fault of all parties. You can say "Well I can play anything so I don't need to communicate" and you'd be wrong because clearly you do need to communicate so long as the people you just described exist, and they do.

So I struck a nerve.

I'm simply baffled at the autism it's possible to cram into a single post, it's so condensed.
OP puts forth a hypothetical scenario and you're going off about online IQ-tests and "the human ability to practically apply their knowledge".
Actually this part here:
>ie low IQ mechanics can contribute more to the real world than a high IQ grad student who has no practical experience in anything
Is hilarious because it's obviously projection.
Sperg on autismo friendo. ;_;7

Reminder that any "leader" that tries to lead by example in pvp and goes first is fucking useless because they are going to die first and not be able to do their job.

>>being a leader in over watch ?????????????
csgo i can understand but overwatch is joke

but user who were you?

>playing random teams
lol
and the only acceptable team game is age of empires
anything else is faggot shit
