not like there's a lot else to play on the swicth

The ink flows

Who cares, buy Monster Hunter World.

>not like there's a lot else to play on the swicth
not that I can comment about the exact quality but...

Fuck no, give me MHS 2

It's the best game of all time, plus it's on a handheld so Japan obviously loves that shit
Splatoon 2 has finally sold 2 million, probably had already done that with digital but 2 million physical is extremely impressive. Kingdom Battle still doing good.

>PS4 already sub 100k
Yikes, is the MH boost over?

well unless you llike playing old neo geo ports and arcade/indie shovelware, then no, there's not a lot to play

>11./00. [PS4] Dragon's Crown Pro # (Atlus) {2018.02.08} (¥7.980) - 11.691 / NEW
Lol

Ps4 had fucking nothing for the first 2 years so it's no doubt better than it quality wise.

>Nintendo Switch still selling out in stores
God Fucking Dammit Nintendo

weren't there two other versions of this game already?

I dont like MH

Word of mouth has been great because Japan loves the game. It has a 93 avg user score in the japanese equivalent of metacritic

Launch aligned weekly chart updated.

not yet, but is way smaller than the one the 3ds had with MH4 (but we have to be fair and say that japan likes portable consoles more anyway)

>05./00. [PS4] Shadow of the Colossus (Sony Interactive Entertainment) {2018.02.08} (¥4.900) - 21.900 / NEW
what went wrong?? wasnt this supposed to be the "Best Remake Ever" ???

Cumulative chart updated.

Probably, the second and third place were new PS4 games, so they boosted too.

>caring about PS4 system sales in Japan
Reminder.
5 million PS4's have only sold in the west, out of 74 for fucks sake, MHW has sold more units in the west than Japan.

Japan are irrelevant. Xenoblade 2, Zelda, Mario and Dragon Ball Fighter Z have all sold more in the west. Nips don't give a fuck about their home nation sales when the west is where all the big money is there to be made.

>04./03. [NSW] Splatoon 2 # (Nintendo) {2017.07.21} (¥5.980) - 23.461 / 2.021.028 (-9%)
Where were you when Splatoon 2 became the biggest videogame franchise in Japan?

In Japan i mean*

>Japan are irrelevant
1/3 off al Monster Hunter sales come from that Island
The fucking state of Sonygross derailing every single thread

switch line looking very similar to 3DS´

>virgins in valentines day caring about how foreign people make money

SAD

SEETHING

Waiting for an RPG of it because I dont like shooters

Bayonetta 1+2 is this week in Japan as well, right? I hope it does well.

>MHW has sold more units in the west than Japan.
*shipped

>74
Make it 76.5 million now.

playstationlifestyle.net/2018/02/02/sony-announces-ps4-console-sales-have-hit-76-million/

Well what are you doing here user?

Pokémon, MH and DQ are still bigger I think? anyway Splatoon is way younger so it's really amazing and as a lot of potential.

So what? The game has sold more in the west than Japan WITHOUT the fucking PC release. If anybody told you this a year ago you'd tell them to fuck off saying the best western MH sales were only a million.

Unlike the Switch, PS4 is pretty bad for non-mainstream series.

is gonna do like shit, Bayo popularity was in the west as with many other games. that said.
Is fucking Sold out in Amazon

more like flop of the colossus kek

No I just dont like it, never saw the appeal

>5 million copies shipped
>retailers demand ANOTHER million copies to stores a mere week later
Tell me user, if they never came close to sellinh 5 million units why did retailers demand for another million units?
Checkm8

That's what interests Capcom, but not Sony. Keep in mind that MHW is a multiplat.

nice try fag

actually 6m it's including digital sales not shipped only.

What kind of excuse can we expect when bayo sells under 100k in Japan next week?

Its a second re-release of a very niche game. How much would you expect it to sell?

>but not Sony
you think Sony did not asked for Asia exclusivity in Asia for that exact reason?? just like with DQ if Switch have had its own port, even a 2D pixel one, it would have eat more than 55% of cumulative sales

>World keeps being the worst selling Mon Hun in Japan, behind 4, G and X
I thought it was the fastest selling Capcom game ever

What site?

Is that good or bad? The Switch is far beefier than the 3DS, so...

Explain to me in what world can a company ship digital copies?

They still additional copies to retailers. Why would they do that if the initial stock was not close to being sold?

there's a difference between being the fastest and the best selling game

bayo 2 sold 39k in the first week when it was new. There's no way it'll do much better on the switch. Before you people bitch about platform. Note that WiiU still sold pretty ok in japan so that's not the problem. Bayo is another franchise that's liked by the west more than nips

None? The original sold like 40k so the port is gonna sell less than half of that.

Sony didn't ask for exclusivety in Japan. Capcom made a smart decision
>hmm yo lads is there any point of releasing MHWorld on Xbox here? Yeah I guess it would be idiotic and a waste of time.

Japan will still get the steam release when its done.

they don't, but when they released the numbers capcom said that they were at 5m digital+shipped and than said that they went from 5m to 6m the week after

>World keeps being the worst selling Mon Hun in Japan, behind 4, G and X

At least Capcom managed to finally capture the casual and normie western market, securing good sales for future MH games.

You win some, you lose some

>01./01. [PS4] Monster Hunter: World # (Capcom) {2018.01.26} (¥8.980) - 159.613 / 1.750.969 (-54%)
>PS4 – 71,306
monster hunter and PS4 still doing great numbers

>04./03. [NSW] Splatoon 2 # (Nintendo) {2017.07.21} (¥5.980) - 23.461 / 2.021.028 (-9%)
Splatoon over two million physical and keeps going

>Switch – 43,404
okay Switch numbers but still. come on nintendo.

>02./00. [PS4] Dynasty Warriors 9 # (Koei Tecmo) {2018.02.08} (¥7.800) - 117.495 / NEW
>03./00. [PS4] Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet # (Bandai Namco Games) {2018.02.08} (¥8.200) - 75.623 / NEW
both big drops from previous games. heard dw9 is pretty bad so.. deserved?

aside from that. lost of switch games that stick around in the charts as usual

Japan wise? still selling behind all Gen 4 games save XX

>retard the post
They did exclusivity for the whole Asia and they already said it won't be released on steam in Japan.

Wish we had this kind of data for global sales.
Japan is just one tiny island.

It's really easy to understand actually. They are selling a lot in the west to people who never played Monster Hunter before. OP is talking about japan only (since this is e media create thread).

>At least Capcom managed to finally capture the casual and normie western market, securing good sales for future MH games.
we will only be sure of this is with the next game, World could easily have sold as a Novelty

When was the last time you went outside? They sell cards with digital codes of games.

no excuse needed.
bayo is never a big seller no matter how much some care for it

because it's a brilliant game

Monster Hunter breaking 2 million on console alone is extremely impressive and a feat nobody thought possible just a year ago.

Fact is that the small gap is more than made up for in the millions more sold in the west instead. No matter how much you try to spin it, MHW selling 2 million on console in Japan is extremely good and more than what anyone expected.

Nice hold for Mario + Rabbids.

It isn't, it's dropping too fast.

It's the fastest selling AND best selling MH game user.

>08./02. [PS4] Dragon Ball FighterZ (Bandai Namco Games) {2018.02.01} (¥7.600) - 14.237 / 82.968 (-79%)
>15./14. [NSW] Dragon Ball: Xenoverse 2 for Nintendo Switch (Bandai Namco Games) {2017.09.07} (¥6.800) - 4.512 / 114.728 (+20%)

DBFZ for Switch totally happening is it?

>They did exclusivity for the whole Asia

How the fuck does this change anything? Xbox has ZERO audience in Asia.

>4Gamer: The PC version release date is still undecided. When it releases overseas will it be possible to purchase in Japan?
>Ryozo Tsujimoto, Producer: “In regard to that and the PC release altogether, it still remains undecided. We’re first prioritizing on fully completing the console version, and from there we’ll be deciding on many parts.”

Exactly go fuck yourself. When they actually have the steam version done its guaranteed to be released in Japan. They have never said they won't put it on steam over there you fucking retard.

siliconera.com/2017/12/11/monster-hunter-worlds-pc-release-japan-still-undecided/#R0j3Yp1uY35kFFWG.99

It will hit 2 million which is still extremely good for a console MH game. Before World, Monster Hunter had zero console presence.

there's a good chance i would say

it has a 94 now. in comparison odyssey has an 86 and mario kart 8 has a 77

I'll say the game after that one will be better indicator. Knowing Capcom, they'll release MHW+ before a new installment, and those revisions never sell better than the base version.

Problem is the western sales for Xenoverse 2. Meanwhile DBFZ sold extremely well in the west.

>another drone failing to understand that game sold far more in the west
Why do you think the west got a prioritised release date while Japan had to wait an additional week?

I don't even understand why people want a fighting game on Switch when it doesn't even have a d-pad for the genre.

That's pretty good for a no cost relaunch meant to bolster the bank of a 20 people dev.

Whats the site called, seems to be a bastion of good taste

but xenoverse 2 on switch sold really well in the west too

MHW has one of the highest attach ratios ever on a console. PS4 has sold 5 million units and MHW has done about 2 million now. That's an attach ratio of 40%. It's crazy.

It's not even the highest attach ratio in the top 10 posted in the OP. Splatoon's is higher

Do you have something substantial to prove that with? Any UK/US/PAL charts?

>capcom
>"selling
Capcom only reports shipments, we don't know how much the game sold until Capcom says so, and they won't because they never do. Gloating about shipments makes you look as retarded as the idiots who gloated about Monster hunter 4 shipments.

I said one of, not THE highest. Both Splatoon and MHW have extremely good attach ratios. But we all know Splatoon sells well in Japan.

Begone retard.

I dont think World will have G version, at best will be DCL and then a compilation version.

It's funny how only now are those numbers reported by Capcom being called into question. I remember the MH4U threads. Not one person pointed out the numbers were shipped and not sold to consumer. But suddenly with World it instantly disqualifies the news

gonna let you in on a secret, publishers don't make money on selling to consumers, they make money based on selling to retailers. Retard.

Yes

gematsu.com/2018/01/dragon-ball-xenoverse-2-switch-sales-top-500000

Faggot

Congrats you reached a quarter of the sales on PS4 and Xbone. Want a medal for last price toddler?

Holy fucking REKT

keep moving goalposts negro. game sold half a million on a way smaller userbase

>Not one person pointed out the numbers were shipped and not sold to consumer.
Well then those people were retarded, end of story.
>But suddenly with World it instantly disqualifies the news
Because it's not news. People are acting like MHW sold 6 million through to customers. Capcom didn't even say that. Hell, Capcom didn't even say that the game shipped 6 million. Only retards are saying these things.
>they make money based on selling to retailers
Yeah no shit you dumb nigger, but what you seem to not realize is that depending on how games sell in retail, a retailer can get their money back from the publishers. Not only that, but shipped units, as I have said, are not copies sold through to customers. By your fucking retard logic every single game ever released was a massive success and that there is no such thing as a game that flops because the publisher got their money due to shipments.

>1/4 on 1/10 of the install base
so you are telling me PXbone version sold pathetically??

>toddler bragging about last place

So if Capcom never sold the initial 5 million why did retailers demand another million units a week later? You drones can never answer this.

>Capcom didn't even say that the game shipped 6 million
W-what? But that's exactly what it did? You even get bonus items in the game as a celebration.
