Did you like it?
Did you like it?
Yeah, I just wish I had a good reason to replay it. Maybe in a year or so.
yes. game gets too easy near the end though and zero gravity sections are unsurprisingly awful.
Its good. Enemy variety was the biggest fault. I felt like the game could have used some human enemies spread around, and not the brainwashed crew members. At some point the typhons aren't fun to fight, and you never have a basic enemy to just stomp on with your new powers/weapons/tech
I got bored within 40 minutes and assume the whole game is just a giant test lab.
Would be really surprised if the game doesn't pull the
>it wasnt even real lmao
twist.
Sounds like you had the ending spoiled here and never even touched the game. Why do you try so hard?
Yeah, I enjoyed it. It was inventive is some neat ways.
>opening doors with foam dart gun
Yep,
Bit of a weak presentation for the ending, but overall a good experience. We don't get enough of theses games, even mediocre ones.
Hell yeah, I bought a PS4 to play it and I've no regrets. It scratched that Dead Space itch I needed badly. Good fun, compelling story, and interesting environments. Could use a bit more enemy variety, but it's not too bad.
Only thing I didn't enjoy was the loading screens.
I really did. I feel like it was a very good System Shock-like and fail to understand why the reception was so lukewarm.
I played the Demo.
Loved it.
Best game of 2017
GOTY 2017. It will probably grow to be a cult classic like Fallout New Vegas over time on Sup Forums
no weapon variety
Yes, closest modern game to System Shock, however the difficulty curve is not good and you can become a god pretty fast if you invest in certain skills.
Yes its great. Found that the last stretch had me going back and forth between areas too much though and the loading screens are insanely long
> Enemy variety was the biggest fault.
This was the biggest problem. I would've loved to see some body horror, like some kind of human-typhon hybrid in agony. Or animal versions or something like that
Black shadows are nice but when 90% of all enemies are black shadows it gets a bit tiring.
Most fun I had with major release in 2017. There are a lot of things I did not like or took issue with, but the core was really great - great atmosphere, fantastic level and environmental design, good, varied and playful core design, a lot to experiment and be creative about. It did help a bit that I intentionally gimped myself in early game though, made the late game a real fucking challenge and an adrenaline rush, forcing me to be really creative again.
My biggest issue was that even with the gimp, the mid-game really dropped down in challenge and for a while, all the actual need to be creative and inventive and play with the options to the max was gone. I can only imagine that people who optimized their builds from start were on easy cruise into the late game as well.
Then again, games like Deus Ex, System Shock 2 and Vampire The Masquerade suffered pretty much the same problem, and are still heralded as some of the best games ever made.
>opening doors with foam dart gun
Not
>closing doors with foam darts using manual override to crush an enemy standing in them when you run out of bullets.
You are the Typhoon.
super fun, although like many have said the enemy variety was pretty garbage. was nice to have the option of doing things the human way or alien way.
ending was kinda fucking stupid though. it basically tells you that blowing up the station is wrong and that saving it is wrong. also how are the typhon on earth if the station was either destroyed with them on it or the entire typhon species were destroyed with that massive typhon wave? and are the fact that they're on earth supposed to be good or bad?
Really didn't.
Great soundtrack youtu.be
was this supposed to be a survival horror game? because there was neither in this.
Survival not at all, horror yes a little
The ending was made like that so they can do whatever they please in a sequel (which is probably never going to happen, sadly).
It would be the best game of 2017 if hollow knight didnt exist
I did, but the enemy and weapon variety really let it down, and the plot is very sparse in the middle; all the exciting sutff happens at the beginning and the end.
Yeah man, I loved Bioshock 3.
Loved it
...
It was good, but trailed off towards the end. The best part about it was probably all the exploring you could do with the GLOO cannon
i must be literally retarded because i never thought about using gloo gun to climb shit during my 40 hours of play and now i only know about it because i saw it on youtube
*blocks your path*
waiting for the inevitable $10 sale.
Just fucking pirate it if youre gonna be a jew about it
first time these things showed up they were pretty intimidating but by the end i had enough ammo and grenades that killing them was easier and faster than sneaking around them
dont sweat it
a lot of people were huge fucking retards with the tools they were given in this game
i know at least 3 people didnt even both to use the best weapon in the game, the one that can bring an enemy towards an explosive canister, or can open doors the nerf gun
*psychoshocks your shit*
no, because pirating doesn't have cheevos
Youd literally spend money just to get achievements?
and trading cards ^.^
Non-ending
Combat gets kinda stale when you get too powerful
Good luck
*Recycles*
It was amazing and I wish we had more games like it. The ending was kind of flat, felt like they had to rush to finish it or something. There were other faults too, but man I loved it all the same.
*murders the shit out of you*
thanks for the exotic material, kid...
Yeah, it was pretty good. I had a lot of fun. Contender for my GOTY last year among a fuck ton of other great games. I don't think it's better than Persona 5, Nier Automata, MonHun Stories, or Metroid SR, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a great game.
fuck you!
The game is actually pretty smart about teaching you stuff. For example, you sometimes find gloo stairs leading to ledges with a dead body holding a glue gun.
I loved it. One thing the game did very well that few other games are good at was the growth of your character's power. The way you start off as a weak little shit smashing coffee cups just in case there's a mimic and then eventually become an unstoppable psionic god who can rip the Nightmare apart with your mind was so fucking satisfying.
it literally shows a character making stairs with the gloo gun early on. how i didnt understand that is beyond me, i blame it on playing stoned
I liked it.
It was the only AAA-game of interest last year.
The intro is fucking great. The exploration is fucking great. The mimicks are fucking great. Everything else fucking sucks
