It's just a fact, VII still has a gigantic following both for it and the fact that it has the Final Fantasy name, and people are interested in where the remake is going to go.

I think the best way would be a mixture of 12 and 13’s battle system

>can queue multiple commands like 13
>control all party members
>get the tactical abt battles of the original as well as the flashiness of the new canon

Updated graphics, modernized gameplay while sticking with the mechanics from the original, faster and smoother execution, more content, exact same story.

Sounds more like a remaster to me. And they already did that with the PC version. You can even mod it with updated character models. Go play that.

The more I think about it, the less I actually want to play the same game with different graphics though. I already replayed it like 10 times over the decades.

At this point, I just want to see the sceneries in modern graphics. I don't even give a fuck if the game itself gets changed because I've experienced the gameplay a dozen times.

I don't really care, I just want them to do away with the episodic bullshit. It's a horrible idea that ruins the game. The game was meant to be explored as an open-world map at your own pace, not broken up into shitty linear DLC episodes.

When the game comes to PC, someone can use all the remake assets to make a mod for the original and have the game looking as good as the remake.
