Loss is a comic strip from the internet webcomic Ctrl-Alt-Del, by Tim Buckley. It depicts the video-game-centered life of some characters. At some point in the past, the webcomic followed in a some continuous plot his life as a game store clerk. His IRL wife got pregnant, and due to some reason, the baby got aborted. For reasons that are more curious than those of the abortion, Buckley decided to sharply divert his webcomic to reflect his surprise and shock of his baby's abortion in 2 consecutive strips.
The first showed him in the game store, behind the counter. He receives a mysterious phone call, hands over his badge to some customer and tells him he's been promoted from being a customer to being an employee. From what I understand from people who followed the comic back then, it was a rather stark turn in narrative.

The second, which is Loss, shows a dialogue-free strip of Buckley entering a hospital and standing over his grieving wife. Buckley's generic drawn faces made the comic lose its hypothetical emotional impact, and just seemed detached from reality and real world rational decision making. He was an idiot for thinking he could make this comic work and that he should implement this tidbit of life into his comic.
Loss was then memed by cynical internet dwellers, because of how dumb it was from ever angle possible. Sup Forums took it to a direction similar to Daily Dose, where images are edited or created in such a way that references Loss. Usually this is made in a 2x2 panel layout, where shapes, objects or people are arranged in a way that is similar to Loss's characters positions.

how does that make him a faggot in any way at all?
because he doesn't have to ask for source on things now?
is that why he's a faggot?
cause he doesn't pander to spoonfeeding culture?

He's reverse image searching photos people took themselves in an attempt to find shit out about them, most likely hoping someone was dumb enough to put it on their facebook or similar social media as well so he can get their private info and try to start shit. It's an incredibly faggy thing to do, right up there with checking through exif data to find out their coordinates and other shenanigans.
Loss references have transcended to higher dimensions of ingenuity.

You're a faggot too for proudly announcing that you desperately follow Sup Forums memes to try to look like an oldfag.

He obviously did it to check if it's really a self-made picture you dip.

It was a miscarriage, but other than that this is spot on. Loss was just a pointless addition of melodrama into a wacky copy-paste comic.
The closest comparison would be like if Garfield killed Odie in the Sept 11 terrorist attacks and then spent a week discussing Middle Eastern terrorism beliefs.
>not mentioning buckleys big fucking blog post that further dug his ass into mockery
