I liked Bowser the best just because him and Mario were the only ones whose attack timing I could consistently get right. I could never get Geno's right for some reason.

My most recent playthrough I used team casters with mallow and toadstool and it was really fun. Game is balanced enough that your team doesn't really matter at all.

Mario, Geno, Bowser is the best. The only heal you need is Pick-Me-Ups because they are broken as fuck. Seriously, who thought making an item that brings you back from the dead and heals you completely was a good idea? It makes all other healing items completely useless.

Because Mario RPG was designed with casuals in mind. Not shitting you. The entire reason it was created was because Squaresoft couldn't get a heavily financially successful title out in the West and eventually it was agreed upon with Nintendo to make a Mario title to help introduce Westerners to JRPG's. And no, SoM, FFIV, FFVI, and CT did not live up to sales expectations in the West for Squaresoft.
That doesn't mean it's a bad game, probably one of my most cherished videogames as a child and it's still a shitload of fun to play just because of the world itself is so cleverly written especially Mario being some enchanted mime.

Bowser. I mainly played Super Mario RPG for Bowser but it ended up being one of my all-time favourite games. So fun and that Warrior expy was so stupidly funny. Reminded me of a guy with comedic autism.
