Well, I must admit that I rarely post replies here since I'm quite a lazy person. Most of the time, I just lurk and when I dare to post anything, it's usually only a handful of words.
Today I made an exception, and here's why...
If you've browsed the board lately, you've most likely noticed the colossal amount of threads about a game called Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
Personally, I've first heard about this game when I launched Steam yesterday and saw a big "now available" pop-up. I was quite intrigued about this game--since the screenshots looked so realistic--that I decided to see how popular it was...
Well, when I looked at the Steam statistics yesterday at around 1pm, Kingdom Come: Deliverance was the 4th MOST PLAYED game on STEAM... just under Dota 2! The two other games above were the usual PUBG and CSGO.
Needless to say, this made me INSTANTLY hit the "purchase this game" button, and to be honest, this was the best decision I made in my entire life... after I quit smoking!
When I say that this game makes all the other games obsolete, it's because it REALLY does. Nothing comes close to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and I've had my fair share of video games.
I was so mesmerized by the quality of this game, that I didn't even leave a review on Steam...
Instead, I took a pen and I wrote a REAL letter to thank the marvelous team in Czech Republic, because it would have been a grotesque insult to leave a banal online review for this unique piece of art!
Anyways, the reason I made this post is simply because Kingdom Come: Deliverance is the ONLY game that managed to REVIVE my interest in video games. An interest that was slowly dying, like a mellow camp fire under the frigid Alaskan rain in April.
So, if this game had the power to make a lazy high school dropout write such a long post about it, you can be 100% sure that you'll enjoy every second of it.

Nigger you're already carrying like 8 swords and a bunch of potions and gold on your person at all times, don't act like having some arbitrary limit on your person is in any way realistic. It doesn't matter if you have 4 swords or 400 swords, as soon as you go past 3 (the absolute balls to the wall limit of swords one person can carry) then the game becomes unrealistic. If you are carrying literally any piece of armor that isn't on your person, congratulations retard, immersion ruined.

I played witcher 3 with unlimited weight mod and while it streamlined the boring inventory management it also broke the economy in a way because it meant you could carry huge amount of loot back to a vendor and never worry about money.

You have to drink a potion that will save the game at that exact point. There's other saves, like when you sleep or certain parts of important quests, but other than that there's not really any way to save scum.
The potions can be made by the player after they learn how to read > find / buy the recipe > craft the potion each time OR buy it for about 150-200 gold, which isn't a whole lot of money.

People do want to save before a quest to test if x works and maybe do a quest differently. Also theres gamebreaking bugs and combat sections where you run into game overs if you fail and you dont want to replay a lot just to get another go at it.
Witcher 3 did it better in that you make choices and you cant savescum because the consequences come many hours later.

No I want to experience the story, combat, side quests, and explore the world. Serious question, which of these game scenarios sounds more fun to you?
Scenario A: You go into a forest and find a beautiful waterfall. Sidling behind the falls you find a cave with some shimmering silver armor and a beautiful jewel-encrusted shield. You take the armor, put it on, and inspect the shield to find that it has superior bludgeon resistance. You slide out from behind the waterfall and hop onto your horse to continue exploring.
Scenario B: You go into a forest and find a beautiful waterfall. Sidling behind the falls you find a cave with some shimmering silver armor and a beautiful jewel-encrusted shield. You take the armor and go to put it on, but find that you're fifty pounds overencumbered with the items in your inventory. You spend five minutes riding back to town, deposit a shitload of herbs you're carrying (totally not immersion breaking to be carrying fifty potions and 30 herbs on your person), ride back, grab the armor/shield, then ride back AGAIN to sell your previous armor.

I downloaded the unlimited save mod but I only save before I quit which is what the devs intended anyways but cut it at launch due to it bugging out. Save on quit is coming in an update.
