ITT: Games you were excited for but ended up being complete shit

>ITT: Games you were excited for but ended up being complete shit

you have it the other way around

It's not shit. It's not made by Kojima, therefore you have to like it!

it's more MGSV but without a shit plot made by Kojima

...

All they have to do is add a battleroyale mode and it will be a better competitor to fortnight and PUBG because of CQC combat.

It would be extremely retarded not to do so, the combat system is already there. PUBG is dying because of chink hackers and shitty coding, slack development because the majority of the bluehole employees are working on their new steampunk MMO.

>PUBG because of CQC combat

CQC in MGSV is dicks. Their netcode is garbage and your options are limited.

DW9. I seriously cannot believe how shit this game is.

...

Fallout 4.
My expectation were low and yet it still somehow managed to disappoint.

>being excited for anything mass effect after 3

Yeah but imagine grabbing a guy and interrogating him for his other 3 teammates locations in a battle Royale game

That'd be cool, yeah. Really, they should have made PUBG. Development on Survive started before the PUBG craze, but it really they should have shifted away from the zombies stuff and more into that as soon as it took off. Now they are stuck with zombie horde mode stuff that people got tired of 5 years+ ago.

the trailer and what the devs promised got me pretty exicited.

>being excited for anything mass effect after 2

But it's not even out yet?

Open Beta you stupid cuck.

Agreed. I think MGSV has the best mechanics for a Battle Royale type game. If it existed, it would be the best one easily. Everything's already there, including netcode and large maps. I don't understand why they don't just throw a Battle Royale mode together. It would be incredible.

Last game I ever preordered.

>Get excited because the dogshit repurposed Oblivion projectile gunplay was removed for ID Software's code
>Everything else that 3 had that was remotely redeemable was fucked up instead
>40% of the map used up by base building
I'm glad I pirated that shit

Is it back?

Fallout 4

Horizon Zero dawn, Botw and at the point Odyssey came out I was just over it, didn't had to grieve it because the turned out to be complete shit. Those are the most recent.

Did iconoclasts went well?

>pirate Fallout 4
>feel buyer's remorse
Fucking how!?

Yes. Now until the end of this weekend.

% of the map used up by base building

this. unforgiveable

THIS actually happened to me with Brink.

i really wanted to like this game, but i'm a couple dozen hours into the tempered elder grind and i think it's a 6/10 at best

i've done 300h of bloodborne chalice spelunking, endgame nioh, etc. so the grind is not the problem. the problem is that the monster fights are honestly really bad. it's like a collection of all the worst boss fights from a dark souls game; and i'm making that comparison not because i think the game is "like dark souls," but because it's full of boring flailing wyverns

there are something like 8 status effects that make you lose control of your character, there are monsters that can take off at any time and fly around for minutes, and the solution to every problem like this is to stun lock them the boss with flash pods, thereby avoiding any interaction or actual boss fight

really bad action game, and average-to-bad rpg (in what kind of dogshit rpg is 10% crit a 2.5% damage increase?)

>game so bad you get buyer's remorse despite not owning it

You were excited for this?

And the best bit is the base building barely even works

DMC2
DC Universe Online

those two burned me bad. I lost all trust in humanity to make good things.

did you know it's free?

Games that are complete shit but you ended up being exited for?

Last time I get memed into spending money of a fucking Nintendo product.

Assassin's Creed III, I bought into the hype and damn it was so fucking garbage. Later I tried out some games people here recommend like Blood Dragon and AC Black Flag and Unity, and found them to be underwhelming as well, and think this is just ubisoft shilling. Now I'm not even willing to give Ubisoft games a try, fuck them. Except for Michel Ancel, he's a good guy and his games are great.

...

I made this one base when I played. Enemies would just pop up INSIDE the base. Fucking stupid.

>being excited for a sequel

Probably my deepest disappointment with any game in my life

It's a pretty big download. That's lots of bandwidth taken up for something that turns out to be shit. And if your isp charges for data, then you'd really feel like shit for downloading it.

it wasn't even worth the bytes it was stored on

kingdom come: deliverance

So what did you expect that it didn't deliver?
All of it's problems seem pretty obvious

Is it the same as the previous beta or is there anything different?
