Nintendo won't do an official release because they got scared of the magypsies. That and muh japanese pride fuck filthy gaijin translators. Tomato gave Nintendo his permission to use his translation they have no excuse.

Yes, it was intended to be the last game in the series and it was. This is a good thing.

I prefer the plot of Earthbound with the Happy cult, zombie circus and all that. Mother 3 is a little too straightforward. I also prefer the varied and strange music of Earthbound. Mother 3 has some great music but it's mostly sweeping pretty melodic stuff.

Mother 3 barely even feels like an Earthbound game. Mother 1 and 2 are all about American influences while Mother 3 is very Japanese and European besides the one character with a cowboy hat.

Was anyone ever really interested in playing that? I know I had zero interest in playing it
