ITT: fuck you, I consider it the best in the series
ITT: fuck you, I consider it the best in the series
Me too user. Also had the best Soundtrack.
>tfw when Wolf’s theme comes up
...
OP is tacky but this is just wrong.
yes my nigga
What's your's than?
I felt it was the most focused entry in the series and Niko is my compatriot
This had the most wanted feel but with a nice gimmick to it.
feels like everyone else is split between the first one and ripto's rage
...
>no police chase
>no open world
God damnit was it boring as fuck.
Most people seem to like 2 the best, but I actually think it's the worst one.
NFSU1 was best arcade NFS and this is best "realistic" one tbqh
While I think in terms of the progression system MW was better, Carbon was better in every other regard, better car list, better customization, no piss filter, Canyon gimmick was neat and well timed given that everyone was getting t00j fever because of the Fast and the Furious that year.
>this is best "realistic" one
>"realistic"
>Pro-street
Heavy emphasis on the Quotation marks there huh user? Should just say circuit based since it's arcade as the rest of them it's just on closed tracks.
Redpill me on ProStreet, the confusing UI and different handling put off 12 year-old me.
>Underground
>shit rubber banding and speed caps
>ugly car customization and ugly plastic car shader effect
>cars are split into TIERS instead of just being able to make a golf beat a ford gt
>cheesiest shit characters and plot
>bosses rubberband so bad that you have to let them win the whole race in order to win at the last second
its the shittiest nfs game ever made
Those cutscenes always turned me off. Favorite is still High Stakes.
>no open world
How is this a bad thing?
You might have a case if you meant the portable ones
>ugly car customization
You've never played the earlier ones.
>Cars are split into TIERS
Good.
>Cheesiest shit characters and plot
Implying that's not a good thing
You must have been retarded.
>cheesiest shit characters and plot
Wow it's almost like every NFS game with a story.
>shit rubber banding and speed caps
>bosses rubberband so bad that you have to let them win the whole race in order to win at the last second
I don't know how old you were when you last played it, but I recently replayed it and beat it in a few hours without losing a single race. I also only bought and upgraded a car once, before the final few races, but I first took over an entire region using the stock starter, and then pink slipped my way to that point. Not getting the pink slip in the cards after a win was the only reason I ever restarted a race, but it wasn't a problem since I'd just overtake the boss for 10 seconds in the canyon and get it over with quickly.
I don't deny it.
Most Wanted, the safe choice.
...
What are the series where your favorite is pretty much determined by which one you played first?
>good amount of Kharacters
>dark aesthetic based off of the middle east and south east asia
>story mode was awesome
>lots of bonus game modes
>cool final boss
>cool soundtrack
>cool endings
>cool intro
>lots of stage fatalities
>Lots of easter eggs
>Zombie liu kang
Don't get me wrong, I like MK9 and MKX but they really outdone themselves with Deception.
you forgot:
>music is terrible
>UI is ugly as sin
Yes, I actually agree. It's better than Most Wanted and Underground 2, though I liked Underground 2 a lot when it came out.
Give me underground 2 with horizon 3 depth
...
Most wanted is still the best but this one was decent.
Agree it's terrible
Wouldn't call it the best but it's definitely an underrated entry that needs more love.
carbon had a fair number of flaws and has clear signs that it was rushed, but it's still a pretty damn good entry and did have a lot of improvements over other games at the time
compared to most wanted 2005:
>Better car customization (both performance and visual)
>Autosculpt
>Way better car selection
>Brought back drift races
>Canyon races are dope as fuck
>First game in the series to have a proper wrap creator
>More varied challenge series
it's not as good as most wanted 2005 or underground 1 and 2, but it's by no means a bad/shit game
certainly better than the garbage nfs games we have nowadays
