Is there a difficulty glitch in this game or something? Started on Broken bones, guys would be cut down after a few strikes at the beginning of the game, now like 3 hours in, it literally takes 50 strikes to kill a simple bandit, meanwhile Im dead in 3 hits, on any difficulty setting, game is unplayable now

giving you a free bump

>The guys at lvl 10 take more damage then the guys at lvl 1?
You do know if you buff your heavy strike you'll pretty much end every human enemy in like 1 - 2 hits, right user?

I had a similar thing happen; I'd just equipped a shit sword by accident.

Check out your LVL compared to your opponent.
Git good.

I've tried different swords, I don't know what's going on, thinking about reinstalling

Done that, shit's weird, I'm playing on PC, heavy strikes against low level shit do nothing, steam issue? I don't know

I'm ~45 hours in and havn'et heard of this, sry man

Could it be an anti piracy thing?

I JUST started. I've played 1 and 2.

Any tips anons?

Is Axii worth leveling? It seems like Aard isn't nearly as OP as it is in 1. Same with Ignis.

Since I bought it off steam... no. Unless the devs had a measure in place for pirated copies that does this that somehow got activated, paid $40 for this shit

K

Im just going to do a complete reinstall then, something has to be messed up with a broken update or something

what is your build?

you probably aren't utilizing potions or mutagens well

The combat is a chore regardless of the difficulty level.

>50 strikes to kill a simple bandit
your gear is shit or your fighting people way underleveled, but I will say that I hated the bloated health compared to 2.
you're also using abilities and environmental effects right?

I found sword skills to be pretty effective, alchemy was underwhelming, and I didn't put much into the signs, but I felt like they could have been pretty good if I invested more points into them.
mainly because you can get alternate effects for the signs.

Aard straight out breaks the game if you get the DLC trait. I made a build out of it and you can use it every second. Freeze + Knockdown + Damage.

you only need one skill to murder any human just get the timing right so you do one after the other

turn off level scaling

>pirating a $3 AAA game

wait you can do that?
how does the balance work? purely off of gear again?

um, yeah, I guess.
I hate enemy level scaling because I feel like there is no reward to leveling up. Im a god damned witcher, i should be able to cut the head off of a wold in one fell swoop, ya know?

>wolf

Have you checked the durability of your swords, they get debuffed pretty harshy if they're in poor order.

holy shit how did I miss that option?
level scaling was probably my most hated addition to 3 and I thought it suffered a lot from it.
I also went in blind and started on the hardest difficulty for my first playthough, so finding out the scaling was pretty drastic first hand was huge bummer.

Play the first two Witcher games before you try 3.
