have you not played beamng

did he died?

>driving games are THE games that normalfags play
>normalfags buy into games based on the graphics alone
Makes sense.

I know this dudebro chad that bought a ps4 just for a driving game and fifa

>They just keep driving
Mass extinction event when?

Holy shit, dude. Stopping in the middle of a race track is a major safety hazard. There are also medically trained emergency personnel that get paid specifically to respond to shit like this. Literally the only thing the other drivers can reasonably be expected to do is generally slow down and get off the track and into their pits asap.

Maybe, maybe not. These cars are stripped and incredibly light so they're gonna crash quite spectacularly.
Of course they're gonna keep driving, they'll be a fucking pile up if they don't

probably design reasons, its nice on paper but once you see everyone who was expecting the typical arcade driving experience that every game is and will ever be take a flat turn at 70 mph and flip complain youll regret your decision to sell a mass market game with the words "Realistic" on it.
Though is does irk me in regular arcade driving games that when I hit a car, sideswipe or rear ending, it just bounces the two off of each other like rubber and everyone goes on with their day. Wouldnt be fun for both players to be completely totaled in a couple seconds flat but atleast it wouldnt throw me off from playing racing games.

>still no driving game with realistic crash physics
>driving games just continue to focus on graphics instead
>Why?
Car manufacturers. They don't want to see cars mangled up. Some are cool with terminal damage and even fires (Most with racing teams like BMW, Ford and Chevy) and others are hugely restrictive (Honda, Ferrari). But the saftey features need to stay in place and they don't want rollcages bending or bodywork flying off. Some make exceptions for certain motosports games like Rally or NASCAR where it's intergral but otherwise you won't ever get full damage.
Nope. In car extinguisher system kicked in and he was able to get out after the officials red flagged the race.

you have no idea how autistic sim fans can be.

No.

Yeah just stop right there on the track and turn a one car incident into a multi car incident. The emergency teams are based right there at the pits and they're actually equipped to deal with that kind of thing.

It's not that important in most games.
It is demanding process to do it right. And for most realstic racing games simulation of tires, suspension, aerodynamic etc. is more important than bending metal.

I have a friend whos spent 2000 hours on eurotrack sim. To this day he still hasn't given me a valid reason as to why he keeps putting hours in this. At least he hasn't played that trash in a long time and now he has his own truck so i guess he turned down the autism.

post more or else i will post chinese traffic webms

Actually wow watching the full video maybe they're not equipped for this sort of thing after all.

@406984759
No (You) for (You).

Pls no.

but there is???

>Be me
>Playing game with realistic crash physics
>Pulling out of the Walmart parking lot
>Woman crashes into the side of my car
>Damage isn't too bad, door and front bumper are fucked though
>Get out of car
>Spend 30 minutes discussing the crash and exchanging insurance details
>They say it was their fault completely
>Later says in their own insurance claim that it was my fault
>My insurance premium goes up

How's that for realism?

I think this is the only good fiery crash webm I've got anymore.

So he became a crisp?

...

why did he fall on purpose?

b-but Mythbuster told me its impossible for cars to explode instantly right after crash!
did i got jew tricked again?

...

brake lines severed at 200+ Kph, all you can do is jump

commercial cars =/= race cars

The contact with the blue bike where the front fender came off tore his front brake line off so he couldn't stop.

When you crash your car the game stops. It's game over. Why would you waste development time on an elaborate game over screen?
That wouldn't be a driving game. It would just be a crashing game.

>It's a FPS, except when you die it's insanely realistic! You can see your blood rushing out and your guts hanging, you scream and die horribly in first person. Everything is done so well! Except the graphics and the gameplay, we didn't had time to develop those.

Oh,i was wondering what that broken thingy was.

Surprisingly he survived.

Race cars are missing a ton of safety features that a normal car would have (including a door that opens) as less weight means more speed.

Man that kick into the air as he hit the kerb had to hurt like shit even with the leathers.

>now he has his own truck so i guess he turned down the autism.
I would say he went even deeper.

Play Burnout, clearly you missed out on a great series you poor soul.

If that was the case then consoles wouldn't exist, retard.

At least driving a real truck you can make money.
Why? Racing games have good graphics even on console. Stop being an actual retard.

There will never be damage models in any games that licence real-life vehicles.

BMW will be happy for you to pay them to use their cars in your game, but you're not allowed to destroy them.

Because there's more than just your car on the track in racing games and more than the player character in fps games you fucking idiot.

>what is wreckfest
>what is beamng

Once again, OP was wrong
youtu.be/TNRnYM4Veb0

They've actually got tons of safety features that regular cars don't.

...

It didn't explode though, the flames just gradually grew.

i believe this is why in some places it's required to have police come and for the vehicles not to be moved after the incident

>playing halo 2 multiplayer
>driving around in a warthog mowing people down
>some asshole jumps into the passenger seat
GET OUT OF MY CAR NOW

>that guy running towards the fire
>turns out he just wanted to take a video

Yup. That's me.

Its his job to be filming, hence the huge camera, what else is he meant to do?

Unfinished piece of shit kusoge?

Pretty perfect actually. You should have called the cops and had them take a wreck report. That's what you get.

What about Beam.NG Drive? I dunno how realistic the crash physics are exactly, but they seem pretty close...

Extuingish the flames with the camera and his clothes duhhh!

I figured user meant physics for when you have already crashed rather than physics that make you crash.

You are correct though.

You know, there are many teams ready to deal with crashes right outside the track, the drivers just need to keep driving while the team responsible for it do their work.

I never realized Fire extinguishers ran out so quickly.

*freeze frame*
Now lets take it from the begining
*record scratch*

ouch!

...

Good ones don't. This is the most recent motorsport fire I can remember in a first world country: youtube.com/watch?v=5Qj3InMIHbU

They don't have doors because their frame must be solid. A door would make it fragile and a side colision would be extremely dangerous. The cockpit of the car is extremely reforced with cross beams so in a colision it just don't trap the driver inside, the belt is strong but easy to get out.
Drivers use helmet, fire proof vest a HANS (Head and Neck Support device) that holds the head and neck of the driver so he don't suffer serious injuries in a colision, only thing that is inevitable is that the driver lose his consience due to the crash, so many teams are scattered around the track in specific high speed points where colisions are likely to happen to act right away.

>No one seems to focus on actually removing the driver and a safety truck in the background nearly backs over someone. You also see another official trying to put out the fire from the grandstand before someone who knows what they're doing grabs it out of the guy's hands.
>The driver's not freed until a minute later when one of his co-drivers and crewmembers eventually yank him from the melting car after running there from the pits. Numerous other track personal stand around as this happens, seemingly ambivalent to the fact there's a driver in there. Perhaps it's normal safety procedures at this track to have the two guys not in safety gear to rescue the driver, but it doesn't seem right.
>The driver is reportedly awake and off a respirator with broken ribs, a broken leg and second-degree burns over 40% of his body.

THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF CZECH REPUBLIC #BASED

show me evidence or you are talking out of your asshole

i hope the driver is ok

>crash once
>die
would be pretty fun in online but absolute hell in solo mode.

...

The driver's name is Giorgio Bartocci. Look him up.

with all the safety features they have in race cars nowadays, i doubt he even noticed what happened.

...

...

...

It didn't explode.

Catching fire is different from exploding.

For example, you have a fireplace that is on fire. Everything is fine.
You have a fireplace that is exploding. Everything is not fine.

Unfortunately you seem to have assumed that you've been tricked, when actually it's your own ignorance that has left you confused and troubled.

>crash happens and you can see right away the pilot unconsious limping to the side
>camera pans and there we see a horrified track official with his ands on face and spinning away from the accident
>them you see a guy in black coming
>fucker is just a tv cameraman trying to get a closer shot

>cars jiggle and bounce like balls lmao
shit game

Right when the initial crash happens you can see banner off the top of the windscreen says 'Blancpain' so it's from the Blancpain GT Series (well, a support event because it's actually a Super Trofeo race but whatever). On the little hut by the finish line it says 'Automotodrom Brno'. If you google 'blancpain brno crash' you get articles about it which all say he survived with broken bones and considerable burns.

Well, unless it's a game like Flatout 2 or Destruction Derby, the point is not to crash.

>that driver facecam

The drivers wear full body fire suits and have all kinds of other safety stuff. I'm sure he didn't get out without a scratch, but it's entirely plausible that he survived.

Yeah seriously, at that point I don't even care about racing anymore just drive off a cliff for a couple hours. Plenty of entertainment!

>boomboomboomboomboomboom

[spoilers]TOO BAD, YOU LOST YOUR MACHINE[/spoilers]

I'm a racing game developer, ask me anything

I'm supposed to be working right now but I'm bored

What are you working on?

>that soyboy covering his mouth and spinning around like a faggot

it's an unannounced game, can't tell much, we're still in the pitch and concept phase, but it's a motorsport that usually doesn't get much love

oh shit, you can see the driver hanging out the door right around the 0:03 - 0:04 mark and the 0:06 - 0:07 mark.

Speedboats need crash physics too

What about racing games where the driving actually matter?

...

I'd love a racing game where crashing can just up and fucking kill you, taking you out of a race if it's a multiplayer one, or ending your solo career and forcing either a reload from a save or just a straight up new game

I never understood why people post the same thing multiple times, do you not read replies before posting a message

try out the dirt series. dirt rally in particular.

>write reply
>fiddle with the captcha
>hit post
>replies saying the same thing are already there

imagine that green text in VR
fuck man i wanna die but be able to die many times over and over and a VR game that can realistically let me experience this shit would be great

>Bump lightly into something
>Car shits itself and catches fire

I always disable car damage in racing games because I don't like destroying my cars.

I hope he's OK.

>lightly

Oh wow I totally forgot they were even making this, and now it's been out for three years

>What is Xpand Rally

>boss told me to tape 2 todlers performing oral sex on a legless upside-down horse
better get my camera, it is MY JOB after all

What is he supposed to do? He's there to film shit

you're an idiot

AAA or indie?
