I will hate Nu-Hitman forever entirely because of this

pretty good bathroom simulator

What the fuck were they thinking having two ETs going at the same time with one hidden in the options menu?
Was it autism?
>Absolution sets up the detective chasing after 47
>They completely reboot the franchise as a downloadable title in the form of episodes
>HE’S PACKING!
this guy is loaded!
you tell me
Ah yes, the iconic "I need to use the bathroom" line from HItman series.

such a Kino scene.
still one of our all time greatest directors
I really liked absolution but i think it needed the open maps of the previous games and more missions about assassinating targets like blood money. Too many missions in absolution are just sneak till you reach a door and go to next door.
AYO HOL UP
HAHA YES DRUMPF BTFO
...
GOTTA CHECK YOU WHITEBREAD
>tfw blood money has no controller support on PC
Fuck, i mostly played that on the ps2 and i don't want to relearn all the controls
thought that was joker
killing the vice president is one thing, but the president?
I see the Delgado family are big fans of 47's work
You know that 47 would be able.
>For whatever reason i thought it was 2 levels per episode in TM
>Just beaten mission Colorado thinking im less than halfway through the game
>Actually one mission left
Fuck me.
Donald GRUUUUUUUUMPF
REGIBALD BLUMPFORD
its not 47's ability in question. desu I'd rather see him take BLONALD GRUMPF when he was still a tycoon and running for president but that would feel the same with killing the vice-president hit
Billionaries diying isn't a big deal tho, look at how many of them are killed by the goverment in china. It would be weird in the US because mutts see billionaries as Gods of the one and only perfect system.
Look at the picture, mr trump
Golden Double Stuf is good,
But Golden MEGA Stuf is better

>It's a 47 takes off his mask in front of a hundred people before killing someone episode
would 47 kill himself if he was contracted to?
Eh, i think it was just a reference to other people who happened to play that game, there are also easter eggs to previous hitman games in absolution. (the whole hitman franchise has some of the best easter eggs in all of vidya)
A contract is a contract
Non absolution 47? Yes. In absoltion he became way more human (refusing contracts) and way more deadly, being able to kill people by throwing syringes to their necks
>gets fiber-wired while jumping the table
he never had hair
To be fair he can waltz into and shoot up the White House and even still keep his face unknown to everybody afterwards. Pretty sure in-universe there's just something about his face and voice that nobody can quite tell them apart from someone else's for very long.
Not that I disagree with that part being dumb as hell, but we all knew that already.
>permanently missable content
This kills the replay value
it would just slow him down

How is Hitman 2017? I liked Contracts and Blood Money but hated Absolution.
*2016
is codename 47 worth playing or should I skip to SA and contracts? Isn't contracts a remake of the first one?
The first game is worth playing just for its historical value alone
Really great, but few levels.
Same formula as BM and Contracts and even more detailed and extensive maps.
Blood Money's status as a sacred game that'll never be beaten aside I'd say it's overall the best Hitman, at the very least it's nothing like Absolution at all. Relies a lot more on replaying its fewer but bigger levels than the past games, but there's a lot of stuff crammed into each of them.
Depends on how tolerant you are with old game jank. Honestly C47 has aged like milk for the most part, so I'd recommend experiencing it via Contracts for most people instead. If you want to give it a shot then at least know that it doesn't really represent the rest of the series much at all and is more like an early prototype.
I played through it because I have a weird need to play all series from the beginning and while I didn't hate it, I couldn't imagine playing it again after touching the later games.
The fact you only got one shot at this is precisely the point of elusive targets.
>Released in 2016
>$59.99
Why do game companies keep trying to rob us?
What's wrong? he's a regular man
They cant rob you if you dont give them any money
The game gets way too much shit.
The main drawback is that animations are positively awful, to the point of being distracting and even sometimes misleading in interpreting character reactions.
Also a few of the level designs don't really match the gameplay. It was the first entry and the studio had not yet targeted the specific kind of maps that will be used exclusively in contracts/BM. Overall still a good game.
giant bomb's video series
No Silent Assassin rank for you.
NOOOOOOOOOOO
DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE, DON'T DO THIS TO YOURSELF.
Maybe i should play the new hitman game again. Only barely started on the Paris mission.
zoom and enhance
>turn on a radio to listen to some music
>people nearby drop what they're doing, turn, and stare
>HEY MISTER I DON'T RECOGNIZE YOU
>WHO IS THIS CLOWN
>guards pull weapons and begin apprehending me
> cloned from the DNA of the world's most dangerous criminals
> raised in a secret cloning facility disguised as an asylum
> befriended a lab mouse, only to have it killed by the other clones as a "prank"
I feel for him, Sup Forums.
THAT
Is Victor Novikov, head of Sanguine and ringleader of IAGO
Quite the resume.
I do quite like the voice actress playing Diana.
Anyway. For those of you who have completed the game, is any of absolution even acknowledged here? I can't remember whether or not it is.
SIR
PLEASE BEHAVE IN AN ORDERLY FASHION
There's just not much of a reason to play it outside of, like the other user said, historical value. All the other Hitman games play better than it, and much of it is done better in Contracts which also cut shit like the awful Colombia missions. Plus you'll just end up re-doing the same missions over again if you play Contracts later anyway.
If you have time and interest then they definitely made worse games back in 2000, but if you just want to get into this Hitman thing everyone's talking about then it's easily the most skippable title in the series.
It's been a while since I played, but I don't think so. I'm pretty sure they retconned all of Absolution.
Yeah, that shit sucks
>Want to quit the life and become a bumble Catholic
>A bunch of goons bust into your church and kidnap your priest friend
>Have no choice but to go back to killing
>Literally James Bond:The Game
Paris and Sapienza are the most James Bond levels in gaming, and the closest we're ever going to get a real 00(4)7 game.
2016 is a return to form of Blood Money/Contracts. There are fewer levels, but the levels are much larger and are basically mini-sandboxes. This, combined with custom contracts, challenges, and elusive targets make for a game with high replayability due to all the shit you can do inside each level. It's really fucking good and was overlooked because of the shady episodic format. You can easily find it for around $30 and I totally recommend it.
the cgi intro after the training shows famous kills from his past, absolution us in there, the strip club mission.
That's it.
Dumbass
Choke target
Hide body
Complete other objectives if there are any
THEN kill the target
If you fuck up while he is just unconscious, you can reset
Should I buy the hitman pack on steam for $36?
It seems to include Absolution, Blood Money, and episodes 1-6 of the newest hitman game (Hitman (TM))
never played one before, huge fan of stealth games
The plot is pretty much ignored, there's a few callbacks here and there though. You can unlock the Absolution suit for example, and the opening video includes 47 assassinating Dom Osmond at the strip club.
On an unrelated note, walking outside to your balcony at the start of the Hokkaido mission in 2016 for the first time was the first time in ages I legitimately thought "holy shit I wish I was there" about a video game. They fucking nailed the atmosphere.
YES!
what are you waiting for, it's a steal!
though this isn't the usual style stealth game where you sneak, it's social stealth, you blend in the crowd by dressing up.
Technically Absolution is the last canonical event in the series so far, so the newer game doesnt mention it
that screenshot is fucking dope, I'm
and feel super compelled to buy the game now
Yeah man definitely. Skip Absolution though, it's pretty fucking shit.
>The Eiffel Tower.
>Le Pen
>Gagged in the toilet.
>Some random school in the USA.
>Pedo teacher.
>Dress as a kid and lure him / Shoot up everything while disguised as a whitey.
>The Olympics.
>A Russian doper in the death march.
>Poison his food and it kicks in right before the finish, where he collapses due to a heart attack / Very small dart in the neck before the finish.
Start with BM
Then consider doing either Contracts or HITMAN TM
>board meeting of some big fortune 500 company
>the CEO
>rig the computer/projector to explode, strangle him in the bathroom, etc.
it's not, it's just not a true Hitman game and more Splinter Cell Conviction (but with a little more freedom) than a Hitman game, but it's not shit.
Nah man it kinda is though. I tried playing through it and the linearity of it put me to sleep it was so boring.
>linearity
Absolution is linear as fuck compared to every other game you fucking moron.
airport that they kept teasing in hitman 2016 cgi cutscenes and Hitman go
big American super mall
another hotel level
Halloween party
a pop culture convention, comic con
a stadium
another sub urban neighborhood
another sabbath party
a Disney style theme park
The fucking eastereggs in that level...
Yeah, Absolution is pretty much the textbook example of "it's not a bad game, but it's a bad [series] game". If it wasn't a Hitman game it would've gone down in history as an alright but not super remarkable stealth/third person shooter game with a dumb as hell plot.
>A highly fortified private art collection, worth millions of dollars
>An art thief. He is a superhuman clone like you and need to be eliminated. Art collateral damage is not of a concern
>Deactivate all the security systems, place a bomb in the piece of art he is going to steal, activate it all back, let him deactivate the stuff and proceed the heist normally
>Blow him up and millions of dollars worth of art in one click
Watch how you speak, young man
>Hotel level.
God yes plz.
>Halloween party.
Fun.
>Disney theme park.
Imagine the kids running around all scared on the bodies of their dead parents.
At least it gave us Dexter. He was one of the better characters from that steaming mess of a story.
Yeah, he was always pretty funny to listen to. Layla wasn't wrong though, that was a real retarded plan.
Nice to see other to/v/arish on here
Location
>overnight train
Target
>business man/woman on their way to deliver sensitive materials
Concept/kill options
>you basically have to kill your target and retrieve the briefcase in their luggage before the train reaches it's final destination. The train makes multiple stops at various stations, so there's more to explore than just the train and thus even gives you vantage points for sniper kills. Other kills options could include tricking the traget into walking on the tracks and getting run-over by the train, poisoning food as a steward, setting the appliances in their room on fire and luring the target into the "Lost and Found" section of a station by stealing the briefcase first.
