Now add the awful quest distribution in some zones and rogues being bullshit overpowered in PvP in the first year of retail vanilla WoW.

They release "remastered" vanilla with class updates,more boss mechanics,etc. and autists will cry because its not pure vanilla WoW.

Either outcomes will have the modern day WoW community added into the shit heap. Now expect to have to have some insane requirements to ever do anything of note.

Never again will there be a vanilla server like nostalrius, if you got to play there you experienced something that will never happen again. All we can do is be thankful we got to return to vanilla one last time before it becomes twisted and corrupted by other private servers and classic.

Nostalrius was just a shitty as any other private server. It still used the old AF mangos core for emulation and the scripting is nowhere near perfect. The third world dog shit and underage still plagued the server too. Private servers are cancer pls stop.

The shear social force of everyone struggling to level while discovering and/or rediscovering vanilla WoW is going to be amazing. I cannot wait to be puzzled on quests and ask around or team up because the world is harsh. Helping other players along the way, making friends and networking to get shit done to pull ahead.

Not everyone likes WoW, not everyone liked vanilla. Many players never made it to 60. That's fine, it's just a game, it has it's novelties like any other and it may not be for you. But if you can find your niche in WoW, you're in for a journey. As you experience the endless vicissitudes of vanilla WoW, with a little luck and a lot of drive you'll meet people who you can group or guild with and you'll make it, together.

Personally, I play for the PvP and vanilla is punishing, you don't get many second chances. I love wrapping my head around macros, keybinds, mechanics, gear, timing, metagame etc. The ephemeral moments of glory, the endless road (trail of tears) to rank 14, the echoes of your PvP exploits coming back to you as your reputation grows. etc etc etc.
