you can buy the windows 10 wireless adapter if you have windows 7 or windows 8 as well, you just have to download the drivers yourself. it's basically plug and play for windows 10 tho

just get the extra dongle and rechargeable batteries. it's honestly one of the better controllers i've used. at least it ain't a dualshock 4

The problem is that any bluetooth adapter at all works on W10
for 7 and 8 they force you to buy the $30 official adapter.

Regardless, the USB port doesn't work because its trash. I have to buy a 30 fucking dollar proprietary adapter, or send it back to M$ for "repairs" and just get sent back a basic ass model that will break just as quickly because these controllers weren't meant to be used wired apparently.

The Xbone dpad is much nicer, but the triggers are too sensitive and its also a piece of shit that will stop keeping a connection if you so much as jiggle the cable.

Apparently this is a very common problem, for whatever fucking reason M$ never anticipated that people wouldn't use it wirelessly, so the charging port is fucking garbage and anyone that uses it wirelessly eventually breaks it just from slight movement.

PS3 controller support is very good now with the SCP drivers.
If you throw in a Bluetooth dongle, you can even use it wirelessly.

Just get 4 360 controllers and wireless adapter. That's what I did and I play local-coop with my co workers on my PC.

I have no respect for people who would let that filth touch their PC.

desu user you could get a DS3 for peanuts and a cheap 99c Bluetooth dongle, the SCP package makes connecting the thing and setting it up as a wireless Xbone controller a peace of cake, hell you could do it with a knock off DS3 and it'd still work flawlessly.

Only hassle is not seeing the actual xbone face buttons in your hands, but still fuck M$ and their jewish ways.

I don't know if the one I got was a cheap knock off but it has served me well for 10 years/when I was back in middle school. Bought it from bestbuy.

What? I just put my DS4 in pairing mode, my win 7 PC picked it up as a bluetooth device immediately, and as soon as I allowed the connection its drivers started installing. When that finished Steam popped up and asked if I wanted to configure the controller. Couldn't have been easier.

The bumpers and triggers are far too narrow to be comfortable. To press the bumpers, you have to do it dead center. They seemed too high up as well.

awful analogue sticks, terrible dpad and the battery is located where your fingers go, so it's incredibly uncomfortable, possibly the worst controller i've used.

Most micro USB cables are "Charging only" and lack 2 of the 4 cables required for data transfer, you need to make sure the cable you use has all 4 cables

Most official PC gamepad software lets you calibrate the deadzone.

The 360 controller, for example, has a fuckhuge deadzone by default, but it's curable.

The only people who praise this are fucktards who used one back when this was the only option on PC and havent tried any of the much superior console pads.

yup, I've spent about $40 now replacing the cables because I thought I was just getting scammed by cheap cables,
but the controller is so bad now that it will rapidly flicker on and off and short out my USB ports.
