Thoughts on Skyrim?

Shit

Such a fun game! My dad bought it for me 5 times!

unironically best rpg in ages

How is the Switch version? I heard it's actually Legendary version with improvements. Is it not the special edition's newer engine with all the improved lighting and stuff?

I like this game

It's a good game because I can create orc waifus and play as them

Fun, but call of duty:rpg

I was playing this morning.

no mods no point

>simplification of RPG aspects
>simplification of battle system/magic
>simplification of everything
>GPS
>side quests are big step down from Oblivion side quests
>most daedric quests are bad
But it has good. Not RNG forest from Oblivion that ruined Cyrodiil lore. World is more close to Morrowind one.
I'm not Todd

It's pretty great alone, years later i still play it almost religiously.

Mods make everything better, just dont install porn mods please

It's an objectively terrible game.

It's shit.

Plus an eurojank made by nobodies with a budget composed of a paperclip and a gum is blowing this piece of shit out the water.

Greatest game ever made. Only literal faggots dislike it.

Empty, no memorable moments, repetitive content. Entire success and popularity composes of non-devs making content for this shell.

How do I get into it? It's fucking boring and the gameplay is trash.

You can't get into it because cocks get into your ass everyday.

I will seriously NEVER understand the global critical acclaim for Skyrim. Never.

To this day I have yet to even hear one single good reason why it's an "amazing" game, especially considering the majority of people played it on consoles, where mods didn't exist.

Its amazing! My husband's ED was fixed by this game! A must buy and play!

So you're saying if I'm already gay IRL I wouldn't be interested in a faggy game?

Stay may, homosexual. 30m+ in sales.

Big games like this are rare

>may
FUCK MEANT TO TYPE MAD
DUMB WEBSITE

Not enough Orcs.

Wow, compensating much, Todd?

Was the enhanced version just consmetic? Was the Swicth version comparable?

Never played Skyrim because Oblivion never really grabbed me

Awful quests, combat, story, music, level design, UI.
2/10

personally tried to play it 2 times... just couldn't do it, I really didn't like it. In my mind it looked like single player MMO and... I would rather play an actual MMO

I like The Witcher and Dark Souls series much more if i want to play an RPG, but I can understand why people like Skyrim (my bro invested 100+ hours in it)

Dunno, I might try it again this year, or maybe start with Oblivion and see how far it goes

>porn mods/10
learn to use creation kit too

It was alright. Normans ruined it for me.

I had like 300 mods on normal version running with bloating saves for like an eternity without problems

now i can't even start sse because reasons even with just USSP installed because somehow survival bethesda mode is causing issues

fuck bethesda seriously

it took something like 5 years to grow on me so keep trying

Decent open world adveture game, poor rpg, could've used a lot more quest and dungeon variety. Better but never spectacular with mods. Nice to always come back to from time to time.

Men of culture and taste here.

Are you retarded?
There's a 7 year difference between the games and they use entirely different engines.

An affront to magic characters everywhere

Poor man Kingdom come

That's funny since Elder Scrolls gets worse with every iteration. If their games weren't moddable the series would be dead already.

But user, I'm having tons of fun playing a mage. Plus you have Midas and Apocalypse magic.

should turn off automatic updates from now on,
they're just trying to get you to pay for creation club

I'm sorry user, but the removal of spellmaking coupled with the extremely abortive nature of the Winterhold questline more or less means that a magic character feels like playing a second class citizen to me. I could maybe forgive the nature of the magic system by itself and how some schools are basically worthless, but Winterhold just makes me angry, every single reward you get in the course of it is worthless and the final payoff for completing it is exactly nothing, especially compared to what stealth characters get.

It takes an extreme level of modding to make magic enjoyable, but Bethesda would still have to make the next game be entirely about magic to make up the misery that was playing a mage character in the vanilla game.

There's a mod that expands the college, but fair enough, I understand your position. Especially considering how great the Mages Guild was in Oblivion.

Winterhold stings more because of wasted potential, I think. The characters there were quite interesting but the questline just ended on a whimper and you really should have had 100 in a few schools to become Arch-Mage.

>Implying normalfags, who make the majority of the sales, play with mods

You PC children are delusional. Have fun fighting Thomas the train, it really spices things up!

>muh sales
Nice argument.

GOAT
Only contrarians shit on it

Its ok. Can we put this discussion to bed now, it's gonna become nearly as old as evangelion discussion when this game was released
