Fallout is better. PS:T has shit combat.

If you like basically reading a book full of text, having no idea where to go/what quests to do, shitty inventory controls, shitty controls in general, slow action, horrible graphics, etc..

Not my idea of a good time. Maybe in 1999 I would have liked it. Every old ass game like this that I've bought was buyer's remorse.

Fallout is better overall.

if you like post apoc survival with good RP potential then play Fallout
if you like Dark Fantasy with a killer atmosphere play Planescape

If I liked Fallout will I like PST?

Is ps:t ready to play out of the box or does it need any mods like fallout does? Are there different editions and one of them is better?

Just get the enhanced edition. It was released last year.

not necessarily. I liked both, but they're very different games, despite both being crpgs. There's a lot of reading in ps:t; writing overall is good, but there is a lot of it. Also, there isn't a lot of combat, and what little combat there is, it feels like it's an afterthought

fallout has shit gameplay but manages to be entertaining enough. planescape has irredeemably shit gameplay and pretentious shit writing.

planescape is just as entertaining as fallout. It's not pretentious in the slightest, it's got a bunch of fun encounters like the allyway that gives birth
