Name a better game, and don't say "THIEF 1 LOL" because you're wrong

Name a better game, and don't say "THIEF 1 LOL" because you're wrong.

Metal Gear Solid 3

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

you aren't allowed to use the computer at the nursing home grandpa...

Thief Gold is better though. A fair amount of 2's maps are either repetitive (Shipping and Receiving) or don't make full use of their space (Blackmail, Return)

THIEF 1 LOL

THIEF 1 LOL. Because you're wrong

Well, it's either Thief 1 or 2 but yeah, it's hard to pick a better game than either of them. I'm gonna say the original Dungeon Keeper though, that game was dope and I think I liked it better. Completely different genre and style but you asked, OP.

kill yourselves

I mean they're both great but Thief 1 IS my favorite game of all time so...

tsk tsk tsk
they are both better at each other in different aspects of game, like design or music or gameplay or enemies or plot
question is loaded

HoMM 3
Now go home, kid

you almost had it, but RoE is not better, only SoD

moving the goalpost
we all know that HoMM 3 means all addons too

By the way, after the dust has settled and microtransactions and numales killed western game anyway, was ThiAf really that bad? Save for it being corridor console game.

Are all of the first 3 Thief games good?
Do they run on modern machines or are they incompatible as fuck like most other old games?

It's steam sale and Thief 1 and 2 are currently 87% off and cost less than a buck.

I remember playing the demo for thief 1. And I was a poor fag so I would just play with the same 3 arrows all day while wiping snot off of my face. 10/10

>steam sale
You are supposed to buy old games on GoG, they actually try to make them functional of modern machines

Since when does GoG put in any extra work for making old shit compatible

Doesn't the gog version come with the terrible texture pack?
I first played all the Thief games on Steam and still do to this day, it works fine

that was literally their entire gimmick...

God Hand

I thought their entire gimmick is (was) that you don't have to go through DRM software

You mean the original 32x32 ones?

the whole idea of the site was that they sold good old games that would work on modern operating systems and were drm free

gog has an outdated version of Tfix, you might be better off getting it on steam and and patching it yourself
or just fucking pirate it, LGS isn't getting your money anyways

>LGS isn't getting your money anyways
and now I'm sad

Yeah, 1 and 2 are the best unquestionably. They don't work on pretty much anything that isn't Windows 98 but the all-in-one fanpatch (TFix for Thief 1 and Tafferpatcher for Thief 2) is really easy to find and install. Thief 3 is good but definitely the lesser of the 3.

They're the best stealth games ever. The things those games do with sound design and emergent gameplay is still unsurpassed. Great story, great atmosphere, genius level design, cool cutscenes, great main character, high replayability value. You do need to get over the late 90s polygon graphics (and get the games to work in the first place) and get used to some of the quirks of old school game design but its fucking good. This isn't nostalgia either, I played them all for the first time in 2013 and they're now my favourite games.

>Are all of the first 3 Thief games good?
Yes
>Do they run on modern machines or are they incompatible as fuck like most other old games?
They run perfectly
>It's steam sale and Thief 1 and 2 are currently 87% off and cost less than a buck.
Yeah you should get it.

No, I guess I'm thinking of something else, I'm talking about the fan one with the terrible painting replacements
