Bugs are bad yes but most indies run okay even if programmed badly simply because they don’t require much from the cpu. 2d indies that is.
Evan Cruz
YanDev is easily the worst coder on earth
Michael Rodriguez

Of course, but not like milk.

If you read the pastebin, he wasn't harsh on him at all.

el obeso goblino...

I thought this too at first, because Mike is normally a massive faggot. But if you read the log, he's actually really reasonable and YD is the cunt.
Benjamin Torres

Owen Sanchez
In Spanish the adjectives come after the noun, so it'd be something like "el goblino gordo" or something
Henry Sanders
Lmao no, no he wasn't. The fucking log is there and if current Eva's coding ability is anything to go by he was too soft if anything. I can't even imagine what kind of shit was there originally.
Hunter Turner
El profe de español...

part of the meme is really, REALLY bad spanglish. >la creatura del obesidad

If his friends lost respect for him for something like that, they weren't friends at all.

>tfw inspired to indiedev by a dev I admire >they're really cool, but only give harsh critical feedback on my game >keep working to prove myself I mean I'm jealous as fuck, but that doesn't mean I have to be a shitter about it. People like Yandev have no real work ethics and a tremendous ego, so this screenshot doesn't even surprise me.
Noah Young
>Back when comics costed 6.000 Lire Dritto nella nostalgia.

Well its either Mike Z or Iwata, and I'm sure Iwata would be far too polite to directly criticise anything harshly. Plus you know, he's dead and all.
Isaac Williams
Nov 20 04:47:00 How is it not impressive that I single-handedly created a fighting game? I made a game with intros, idles, walks, runs, jumps, dashes, airdashes, specials, health meters, super meters, throws, airthrows, and I hand-animated every animation myself. Isn't that impressive? Isn't that respect-worthy/ Nov 20 04:47:09 So there's an organization problem. Can't I hear a single encouraging word? :/ Nov 20 04:48:47 I think a normal person would be incredibly impressed by what I've done, but a hard-nosed programmer would scrutinize things that a layman wouldn't. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA WHAT A FUCKING CUNT
Aaron Reyes
>this entire pastebin Holy shit Eva is a fucking drama queen

Nigger the point of the meme is bad spanish/english
Landon Cooper
Anyone mind explaining why his code is so bad? My programming knowledge is very limited.
Jace Turner
t. never coded in his entire life.
Mason Collins
Its incredibly inefficient.
Eli King
how did this even start, is el gohan blanco that strong
Samuel Fisher
Instead of doing something in ten-twenty lines of code, he split everything up into fifty or sixty different lines. The result is the same but on the scale of a 3D game with an open world, it will lead to massivem emory leak issues.
Plus the game's code itself has quite a number of errors in it and things that just plain aren't right.
David Cruz
MikeZ was going far above and beyond in terms of being a mean asshole, but remember we are dealing with YandereDev here. He literally does everything for approval and attention, and tells himself and others histrionic stories about his 'dreams' and delusions of grandeur, all while admitting he's too anxious and antisocial to leave his house most of the time. He's unironically mentally ill, and I don't say that as an insult, YandereDev legitimately has self-obsessive attention-seeking delusions and no honest productive outlet due to being physically and mentally incapable of learning and applying effort for its own sake. I'm not saying it's wrong to have ambition and self-teach, it's just that YandereDev can't help from deceiving himself and others into believing he's doing any of this for any other reason than pride and attention. That's why he spends all his time reading emails, responding to every post and unimportant little comment, goes apeshit when he's treated as anything but a respected community leader and indie dev savior, and why he spends all of his time making idea guy videos about tertiary little daydream features he has no idea how to implement and that cannot possibly be implemented while he has been unable to bring the game to even a functional alpha. He has no scripts, no events, no happenings, and almost nothing that doesn't come ready with Unity. Right now his game is literally just a 3D map with character nodes that can move or stand still, that are able to perform if-checks on eachother and 'kill' other characters on a toggle. It's no big deal, but he legitimately does not know how to create sequences, animations, triggers, or anything involved in these little fanfiction features he's forced to keep making up because he's at a dead end and doesn't know how to get to the next level of understanding. It's a map with nodes that can check and set values of one another, that's it.
Adrian Price
I mean the meme transcended memedom and new goku super saiyan is literally white haired so obviously el gohan padre is pretty fucking powerful.
Christian Thompson
Does that mean it runs slower, or is it about programming time?
He overreacted so much, thinking "his entire career" was over

!!ATTENTION ALL AMATEUR GAME DEVS!!
Worried you'll never make it big? Worried your code isn't up to scratch? Worried you'll never amount to anything more than a broken 8bit side scroller that'll never get greenlit? Well don't you worry, because I'm going to tell you how to make it BIG! And the best part is, you don't even have to improve!
!!!!! MAKE IT EDGY !!!!!
THAT'S RIGHT! Now your game is controversial, so people HAVE to buy it, to STICK IT TO THE SJWs! And if someone doesn't like it or thinks your shitty broken game looks bad... THEY'RE AN SJW TOO! Just tell that KUK (hehe!) to GO BACK TO TUMBLR! ;^)
Is it really that simple, you ask? Yes! Because there are autists and underage retards a-plenty who can see NOTHING beyond their worthless online pissing match, and will even spend REAL MONEY on GARBAGE in order to feel like they've WON! I know, right? Ka-CHING!
Let's hear some testimonials: >I bought Hatred. I had it pre ordered. It was total garbage, but maybe with mods it will be fun. I'll buy any game that dev makes. I'm not sure why, but I remember it being important to me at some point that I do. Gotta stick with your principles. >I imported DoAX3, a game which was never announced for Western release, but I like to think was banned anyway. It cost me a lot of money, but it's worth it to feel like I own some genuine contraband. The game is a glorified F2P DLCfest and sometimes I feel like a chump for owning it... but at least I showed Anita what my wallet likes!!!
But user, you say, DoAX3 isn't edgy, it's waifushit! Haha, well spotted! And it takes us on to our NEXT lesson in easy money for shitty games... TAKE IT AWAY, SHANTAE!

just give me the color wheel is replaced with saiyan forms meme at this point, they only need green at this point
Wow mike barely even said shit to eva and he still turned into a little bitch
Kayden Diaz
See this is the shit people need to remember when it comes to YandereDev, he literally only talks to others because he expects to receive praise. It was the same way when he was spamming Sup Forums 24/7 with his 'idea guy AMA I'm your new hero dev praise me' general threads, if you do anything short of celebrate and congratulate him, he will flip out and start negotiating with you to change your mind and start praising him just for trying. Notice how many whiny essays and outbursts he makes after he doesn't get what he wants, taking abou 'dream' and 'ambition' and 'trying to do something good' and general acting like he should be the world's hero for begging for attention and praise over his personal software porn murder sim with stolen assets project. Even in the very beginning, he started the very first thread saying he was going to be 'Sup Forums'sdev' and spent the entire time saying how thankful the board should be to have him. His final meltdowns here were so hilarious because he presumed so much and tried to beg Sup Forums to love him, with absolutely no leverage. He just presumes he's great, and that's why it's so funny to watch him perform mental gymnastics to reject any idea that he isn't.

If the game runs and it has bugs, you're at fault If you're working with someone else and they have no idea what you wrote, you're at fault. In conclusion: try to optimize your code as much as possible
Xavier Long
Oh no I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me.
James Price
Someone post an example of his code, I haven't seen it
Jaxson Davis
wait this 'engine' that all this is about is some shit implemented on top of unity
this just got twice as hilarious
John Cooper
tl;dr but what a whiny bitch, if you're given constructive criticism you can't just lash out and start acting all woe is me, act on it like an adult ffs some people
Asher Rivera
Damn, what a cuck.
Eli Reyes
t-t-then where's the color wheel meme fag can't wait for super to end
Justin Watson
checked not to mention how he leads on subscriber base, increasingly escalating the scale of the project only to delay the game even more and rake in those sweet patreon bucks. this guy is so narcissistic and deluded that he's already talking about a Yandere Simulator 2 when he's not even 50% done.
Robert Ortiz
OH NO NO NO HAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA
*WHEEZE*

>If you're working with someone else and they have no idea what you wrote, you're at fault. It's well known in software development it's a lot harder reading code than writing it. Even your own code.
>In conclusion: try to optimize your code as much as possible Oh yeah, because this always leads to code being more readable, not less. Get it working first, optimize later. Don't waste time trying to save nanoseconds of processing power and certainly don't sacrifice the maintainability of your code doing so. Optimize when necessary, not when possible.
Sloppy coding and regular mistakes layer on to each other constantly to an enormous degree. Being careless at any stage of a project is guaranteed to bite you in the ass again at a later point.
This is why there's times when you'll see an entire system has to be rewritten from the ground up in order to implement highly requested features purely because some lazy fuck cut some corners to implement the original system.

Is he humblebragging? A functional game engine in three months even if it's a basic framework is rather impressive, especially for a beginner.

What's even worse is that a perfectly functional YandereSim would simply be a tiny little niche fetish game for the small group of people who would actually spend hours pretending to be an obsessive girlfriend, the busted real life version of YandereSim is absolutely nothing anyone would play. It's such a twisted and perverse failure of a game that it's completely pathetic the dev goes about pretending this project has any momentum or reasoning. His audience is literally little children who are naive enough to believe his 'I'm a game dev' narrative and who also watch his streams in the same way horny kids browsed for porn on newgrounds. YanDev truly has that DIY horny preteen computer virgin aesthetic, same as those kids who made really wounded defensive dating sims where the girl stabs you for saying the wrong thing on a date. It's just fuckin empty and weird.
Eli Miller
But he looks better in the later photo?
Dylan Green
As always, to any aspiring coders in this thread, learn how to optimize your shit and how to accept criticism. Enums and switches can do wonders for you.
