it was alright, too bad their gameplay engineers and writers weren't as good as their environment artists and level designers. the whole settlement building system was a good idea but just felt tacked on. I would have liked to have seen it play a larger part in the outcome of the game as well.

Really that's Bethesdas biggest problem, they design these massive detailed worlds but they don't know what to do with them. Although The Dunwich Mines were really fucking cool

Not really when you compare it to other bethesda games. Skyrim and Oblivion give you like 2 dialog choices at a time silently instead of 4 voiced ones.

It was so fucking bad that it made F3 look good, which by itself was already an amalgamation of shit you don't have in an RPG, sprinkled with bugs, glitches and an engine from the last deacde on top.

It was cool as an exploration and loot collection simulator. The combat was way better than the previous ones. Some of the characters were alright, Nick was cool. Far Harbor was an awesome DLC i felt. It just fails as an RPG game. There's not even skill checks in dialog anymore
