I unironically liked the monokubs alot. Especally monodan.

Monodam was fantastic. I didn't mind the other ones either and I thought it was amusing that they amounted to disposable nothings that never mattered and always fucked up anyways. They were meant to represent the sort of stupid shit that shows will put in when they've gone on far too long and it works all the way through.

I liked them all except Monokid.

The monokubs were an absolute waste of time and energy, they literally never did anything interesting and had nothing to say. I always felt like they were just complete dialogue padding.

That's not even getting into what they did to monokuma, they gave all of his character to the monokubs and left him with nothing.

The game peaks with trials 4 and 5, so it's not too bad if you were only spoiled for 6.

I'd argue being spoiled on the mastermind cuts the legs out of chapter 5 entirely.

Monokuma's Japanese voice changed, so they made the dub one try to match the new voice for V3. It was a terrible idea.

It makes me sad, because psyche taxi had potential.

If it was up to me, I would put a short time limit for each section, have the player collect letters for all the answers on top of the questions then shortchange the player on letter cubes, then when time is up, force the player to try figure out questions and answers that aren't completely spelled out.

The DR3 dub has some really fucking unbearable replacements, but it does get a lot of voice actors carried over from the games as well as good choices for the new ones.

Fuck Monokuma and Junko's voices though, holy shit.

What the fuck were they thinking? The english voice in the game was fucking great.

Also worth noting is that they use the Japanese terminology instead of any of the localized stuff. So you get to hear the cast awkwardly read off SUPER HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL and other such terminology like a machine.

I actually didn't mind Greg Ayers as Monokuma, the raspy little shit voice did it for me more than the obnoxious shriek-y one in the game. The only reason the dub voice for him in the anime bothered me was the trash tier dialogue.

I think Greg Ayers is worse because he isn't as loud and grating. Monokuma should be a Scrappy Doo-type character everybody hates but gets endlessly pushed by corporate suits.

I love her, but it's clear that she's much more popular among Westerners than Japs, and Westerners really don't make much R34. Also Dannganronpa has surprisingly little R34 for such a big franchise.

He was supposed to be a weak beta detective on script. Megumi's VA was spot on for the character concept. The ENG VA feels too assertive even on the first chapters.

I found it really well done, specially the parts were he is mindfucked by the whole fiction thing and starts to give up.
