Rumor has it that DMCV will make an appearance at E3 and come out early next year. I'd be willing to believe the same for Bayonetta.
It's been a long time since Devil May Cry game came out (you know, a proper one) and a semi long time since Bayo 2 first released. Not considering sales or any other measure, what do you think could end up the superior action game among fans of the genre?
Here's hoping they're both great but it's fun to speculate.

I prefer Bayonetta but I honestly couldn't guess which one will stick the landing.
Devil May Cry. I really think the reason we haven’t seen anything yet is because they are making sure they will bring the heat. The last new entry in the series was DmC, and we all know how that played out. Then you have the Bayonetta series, which has filled DMC’s role in its absence. They got a lot to prove, and you know what, I think they will deliver.
I’m sure Bayo 3 will be fucking great but the ten year gap is going to make DMCV feel a lot fresher regardless imo and the thirst is too real

It seems really likely that Itsuno is in charge of DMCV and that's a good sign

Kamiya was just a supervisor for 2, he didn't get involved that much, if he's directing 3 it'd be the first time he directs a sequel to one of his games which he seems to avoid most of the time.
V will be the first DMC that actually gets proper funding and will be finished without cutting corners too much

I like Bayo more in general but every itteration of DMC has been pretty different from each other so it's really hard to tell.

bayonetta was great because it looked at what dmc did, took what worked and smoothed out the iffy parts. (stiffness, shitty dodge, overcomplicated controls)
