If it's anything like the beta, online multiplayer is still peer to peer which means if you get some brazilian in your lobby your game will be unplayable.

Well it's great they did a remaster for such an old game, but truth be told, the original aoe is the worst in the franchise.

If it's like the beta I assume it won't even launch. The win10 store is a piece of garbage I hope they enjoy their no sales.

So I played around with it a little. It's really like going back to 1997, but not in a good way. The game has some impressively retarded AI and pathfinding, many bugs appear to still be intact and the game does not do any major improvements upon the original game besides rally points for your buildings. Almost immediately I had trouble assigning some villagers to gather food from some killed deer that were behind the forest, I could only assign my villagers to chop wood instead, and there appear to be no way to rotate the map despite this being a 3D game. There are obviously no army formations or anything like that. Just like the original game, to make your units automatically attack any enemy in sight, you need to select them as "Enemy" in the diplomacy tab manually. There are no options for legacy music, it's modern remixes or bust. Graphics leave a lot to be desired but at least they're very true to the original.

How underage are you? Pre-rendered stuff is what separates a game like FF7 which came on 4 CDs (about 1.2 GiB) versus its contemporaries on cartridges like Conker's bad Fur Day, which was only 1 max size N64 cartridge (64MiB).

What the fuck are you talking about? Age of Empires came in only one CD, same as II. Only AoE 3 used several CDs. PC games have never used console cartridges, I don't know of any 90s RTS that use pre-rendered backgrounds. It's just sprites on an isometric 2D plane.

Have had 0 issues with Windows 10 on any game I've played. Legitimately, 0 issues - and no, I'm not just talking about recent releases either.

I'm not one to shill for Microsoft, because a lot of what they do is shit, but Windows 10 being incapable of playing games is a meme.

The sprites are pre-rendered and pre-rendered shit is huge as fuck.
I gave you an example of a game that had a 1920% increase in size over the other games simply because it had more of that shit in it and AoEDE adds a bajillion sprites all of which are much bigger than the original ones.

I gave the Windows Store a chance but when I went to browse the games it was a sea of shitty mobile shit with a few "high quality" games right in the muck with the rest of the garbage. Instantly closed it and never went back. I don't like "app stores" and the Windows Store just looks like a worse dumping ground of shit than Steam is.
