just buy a prebuilt. they're cheaper right now than building your own. I've seen 1070 builds going for around $1000 which isnt all that bad really.

There's been a million pre/post benchmark tests since before that patch was released that shows it has no effect at all on gaming. None. It only affects companies like Amazon with server farms.

The xbox one x is only better if you want to play the old xbox and 360 and one games on it. That's all. If he still has a xbox black and a 360 working, he should get a ps4 instead.

People have been saying they are getting ok prices for ryzen processors with 1060 6gb cards.
Dunno if you can get anything better and as usual, be sure to replace the power supply because usually pre builts include a shit tier power supply that is awful in most cases. If it includes at least a evga bronze 600b then you should be fine, but doubt it.

Most of biz don't mine because being a small/single miner is a losing preposition. Better to just buy the coins with the money you'll buy with the mining rig and trade with that. Not only you will have coins sooner, you don't have any hardware to offload if you suck at calculating that mining is not profitable unless you hold.

I built a PC this november/december and it was a fucking nightmare. First I had a wait forever for 8700k to come in stock and then the fucking gpu/ram prices. I was even lucky to get my 1080ti strix for 800€ when I did.

Never had this big of a problem getting PC parts before
