My roomate and I are doing a playthrough of goemons great adventure, and I'm doing one of mystical ninja.
Suffice it to say that these games are top-class and stand with Skies of Arcadia as Japans greatest RPG's.
Also the Impact segments of both games are absolute 10/10

Zazen Town and Festival Village were max comfy, as far as towns go.

Goemon's Great Adventure, though it's a 2.5D rather than 3D like Mystical Ninja. Also the SNES game Legend of the Mystical Ninja. I think those are the only ones that have official translations. Outside of that I have no idea.

Fucking great game. I loved it when I was younger. Sort of Zelda with a bit more RPG coupled with some fun bosses and not so fun ones. Really cool visual style, too, with a lot of love placed on the more Japanese aspects.

As a kid I never knew about the rapid punches or the giant lazer for the robot fights so I beat all these bosses with just simple punches and the hook as a kid to this day I wish I still had my copy so I can try all these out looks like it makes the fights even more fun.
