Why did you Trick me into buying this?

You said this game is amazing and better than V and a lot of fun.
It's the same 3 enemies over and over again! It's ugly and blurry because the color palette is so drab. The screen is constantly covered in butter because when the main character hasn't eaten for 30 seconds he gets dizzy and loses vision!
This game is terrible! Why did you recommend it?

>listening to Sup Forums ever

There is a HUGE difference between marketing and honest suggestions...yeah, I ordered it. Mainly because GCU keeps the price at $31, and it has a $10 gift certificate offer.

Show me one single post that was even remotely positive about this game.

It's terrible, unfun, and shallow. I constantly fall for Sup Forumss terrible suggestions. Worst one yet is the switch. Holy fuck, buyer's remorse.

How about all the shill OPs over the last month?

Don't feel too bad, I bought a VITA...after buying a PSTV.

>it's the same 3 enemies over and over
So you haven't played the game then

I will never understand people who buy full price games at launch without hearing the opinions of reviewers who have similar tastes to their own.

It's like spending a chunk of your hard earned money on a mystery wrapped in a question mark, and then getting upset when you don't like what you've bought.

I think Kojima is an overrated game director but this game is easily worse than V. Did not have any fun with the demo at all, this should be a lesson for you to never trust marketers on Sup Forums though.

A board full of teenagers and NEETs has shit taste. Who knew?

Nah mate. Even Survive is better than MGSV.
>smaller weapon selection but more reason to use different types
>takes elements from the Skulls and enemy artillery and puts them against you outside of minibosses
>reintroduces non-regenerating health and removes infinite sprinting
>brings back Food and Cure mechanics
>actually has an ending

Even with gigantic tumors like the Lord of Dust ""fight"" and some more grindy elements, it's still at least better than MGSV. Really the only game in the series worse than MGSV is Peace Walker.

I appreciate the initiative you take to secure your job at Konami, but thanks dude I'm good

why does this survival game have survival mechanics in it

Survive is just MGSV2: Majora's Mask edition.

>listening to marketeers

>3 enemies
nice to know you haven't finished the 5th story mission yet.

Majora’s mask was fun tho

you probably got tricked by marketers. even joke sites like IGN say things like "the game gets good after 18 hours!" so they probably got paid off. and it has currency you can buy with real money

you need to do your research before buying and not buy trash like this.

indeed

stick to your 7 hour sony movie games i guess mgsv kept me going for hundreds of hours

The game is just paced like shit. You don't get a core feature of the game (classes) until you're done with the main story of the game. I have no clue what they were thinking.

...

Anyone know how long it takes for animals to respawn? Milk is a godsend for thirst now that my watering holes dried up across the map, but I got a few more cages and I need more goats/sheep but it's been 8 days and they haven't come back.

>buy game about survival
>has SURVIE in it's title
>complain about survival elements

>not being able to differentiate a shill thread and legit thread

you did this to yourself

Restart the game.

I did, that doesn't work. Things have a set amount of ingame time before they respawn, THEN restarting/going to staging area allows it to. Same as materials.

>He listened to the autismos from Sup Forums and purchased a game based on their opinion caused by a hard-on for Konami

kek

>hard on for Konami
More like "fuck kojimbong hack"

Because that's literally an improvement over V.

I ironically shilled this game for weeks because I thought it was funny

NO WHAT THE FUCK

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SONY'S TURN!!!!!!!

Sounds like your bad. How many times do people have to learn the hard way that Konami does not make good games anymore?

youtube.com/watch?v=UPodveNJVLM
We tried to warn you, and yet you listened to the marketers, you deserve every bit of frustration you got.

Sup Forums‘s opinion is now entirely meme-based. For survive the most relevant meme is “Kojima is shit” so they default to liking this game.

for some reason people are sperging out over how good it is while negative reviews are flooding in at the same time. I suspect shillery.

have you people forgotten this is konami we're talking about here? they are an agent of chaos.

hmm

by people I mean a certain few individuals who must be in heavy denial. they are conflicted because they see "metal gear" and assume it will be a kojima quality game, however they KNOW it's a konami cash in with fucking lootboxes of course and their brains don't know how to cope with it. I have experienced this feeling before and am wise to it.

what are lootboxes?

I mean the lootboxes are literally boxes of loot, you can't buy them. There's no way to actually get materials for money, just shit ~3% resource boosts.

>shill
>listening to them
you deserve whatever ill fate comes of you, retard

...

I didn't save that shit, but all last night were posts about how amazing it was. But hey, it's not my fault that this place still allows itself to be astroturfed so hard year-after-year.

Wait for a game to release and look at actual user reviews , youtube reviews , non paid reviews , look at twitch gameplay. Literally just do some research before buying a game. Why would you believe shills on here?

I am actually into zombie crafting survival shit and I am autist that loves to grind, is this the game for me or not?

Did you like Dying Light?

Reminder there's people stupid enough to like GTA5 on Sup Forums - you got conned

The game has a good honeymoon period, the reason people were posting like that is because the game is a fucking blast until you reach the core loop of "go to place, activate transporter, collect peron and/or iris energy, repeat", which happens after about 5 hours or so.

The people in your camp getting sick and requiring your fucking resources all the time is annoying.

The game punishes you wanting to grind and play more than 3-4 hours a day by having real time gates on resource collection from the shit in your camp. You can still make do but if you play longer than 8 hours in a sitting, the game kicks up weather rates and it starts raining everywhere, which washes out/muddies up watering holes leaving you unable to collect water to purify. Food's pretty easy to come across though. The grind comes mostly from user choice, doing the movable mining singularity sidemissions. The game rewards exploring more than anything else. You have to explore to get good/better gear, but you can explore the entire map as soon as you get the air tank, there's nothing stopping you but having to go back to repair your tank. And there's transporters (fast travel) points everywhere so you'll rarely if ever come close to losing it.

In short nah, there's not enough grind in the game, besides going around doing the literal same mission over and over and over for kuban to level up.

Never have played it.

hahahah holy shit how can you kids be this dumb

dude

God, this sounds pretty shit to all the other alternatives there are on steam. I almost bought this for ps4, thanks for this post user. I'm just gonna get this when it's cheap as fuck.

there is nothing wrong with gta v you cockmongling faggot. Its the best one in the gta franchise

Let's hear these alternatives

get it. It has a enjoyable story around 40 hours if you dont get the dlc.

That's my recommendation. I rented it it on the 20th, just got all the trophies I can get without going online (shit like revive 100 team mates, which I can never manage because everyone rushes to a downed person because that's the best way to farm points) and I can safely say the game is definitely worth $15 or $20, so I'll probably get it on steam when it hits that price point. Before that though, meh. Exploring was fun, lord of the dust was fun, big mouth was fun, all the bosses were neat, mechanics are really fascinating, but the game is really unbalanced. It's a good sign they listened to feedback from the beta though, but it's bad they didn't see this shit themselves.

subnautica, the long dark, and the forest are all easily better sounding than this. From what I've read the building in this game is absolutely useless, and the long dark does the survival aspect of this game better. The combat in this game is probably the best part about it, but I could just go play mgs V for better stealth, getting punished by draining my resources even faster for stealthing is insulting for a game with metal gear in the title.

>Still buying Komani games
Did the systematic buttfuckery that was their handling of Silent Hill and Castlevania not clue you in they're fucking awful at making decisions now?

What's wrong with their handling of castlevania?
Or are you saying you wanted more castlevania fighting games instead of lords of shadow?

yeah, no

Alright I'll look into it then instead of survive. Thanks for your advice.

Say what you want, but i've played all of thse games. MGS v isn't beating any of them in any aspect outside of the combat.

kek, sorry, mean't survive.

As much as a misstep as that casual as fuck 'fighting game' was it sure as hell was less of an fuck up than
>Let's make a shitty God of War clone, made by a second rate Spic company, that barely resembles anything Castlevania

Not really. every single console castlevania game after sc4 was pure trash, unabashedly so. For nearly a decade and a half, then lords of shadow came out. Mediocre at worse, fun at best. The handheld games are where castlevania is now, and they stopped making those because they stopped selling, which is why they bothered with lords of shadow, trying to reboot the series from it's stale as fuck state.

The vast majority of threads described how shitty this game is. Your head must have been too far up your ass to notice.

>getting fooled by very real marketers
When you see daily multiple threads for a game with similar or same text, ignore the game until at least three weeks post-launch and then see what's up.

To be honest Sup Forums is very fucking unreliable sometimes. They shit on every game and you just have to swim in every thread in the hopes of catching people seem reasonable and not fucking faggots that can't review to save their lives.
I usually ask here and watch a stream later, just to avoid getting memed by some ruseman.

That's what you said about hollow knight and the game is great, but whatever you say.

Majora Mask was incredibly memorable and got an HD re-release

this game is shit

>and then see what's up
Win-win. Don't be a launch day fag.

>was 82%
>now 76%

lol

still only a small mount of reviews too

With Sup Forums you have to watch actual gameplay at the price of being spoiled the beginning. I rather spoil a bit than getting memed and buying a shit game just for blindly trusting the judgement of some poster here.

>buying a game because Sup Forums shills are spamming it
HAHAHAHAHAHA
>listening to Sup Forums ever
HHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Is there ANY downside to playing Co-Op over and over again?

I beat the story mode and played a salvage mission in Co-Op, got a bunch of resources + some decent gear. Wondering if I should do this over and over to build up a nice bank.

It's holding strong in spite of the kojimadrones though

I liked Survive until I got lost in the dust zone and found out the hard way you cant unlock teleport zones since they're tied to the story. I bumped into three teleports I couldnt activate and the fact that they hide your placed markers in the dust zone completely fucked me from finding a telporter I could use.

>he fell for viral marketers

It's only hidden until you return to base camp, then when you do, your map is updated and it functions exactly as it does outside of the dust. Sort of defeats the purpose of the dust really. Any time you go out to do exploring, it's nearly impossible to get lost unless you just never went a particular way before.

Use the flags. Craft them. You can place them down in the Dust to mark a location on the map, to know where exactly you are.

I fell for the Neir: Shitamata meme

I vowed never to let Sup Forums influence my choices again

This.
>buying any Konami game post PS2 or DS
kek.

You probably shouldn't, seeing as how autoass was the first time eons Sup Forums was right.

>posting Momoko
I think I know you...

And yet it won the Sup Forumsgas
Fuck this place

>game no one is playing but kojima haters trying to teach kojima fans a lesson by buying 40 dollars worth of shit ACTUALLY has mediocre reviews

wow

I completely forgot about the flags. fuck.

Yeah completely disagree, V was at least fun enough to actually play.

It was shit

Ad to play 90% of the game as the shota who couldn't fight for shit and had to continually hack everything, I wanted to play as my thicc waifu

Story made no sense, everything happened in several blocks of each other as well as seven different Eco systems

Lol it was all fake anyway

Literal fetch side quests most of the time

Forgettable villains that died for no particular reason

I could care less about the game

>listening to the Kojima hatebase

>listening to konami casino jews

its the most hardcore survival game there is and it plays great.
if you are into that you gonna like it.

the only thing i really REALLY dont like/understand is the way they handled coop/singleplayer crossover.

The beta made it seem like both are fairly seperate when in fact the character carries over and so does gear.
also, they should have made the entire singleplayer campaign playable in Coop, but maybe that would have taken too much effort with rebalancing enemies and food/gear

>No it is shit
>No it is ok
>No it is great
I give up. I am gonna commit spoiler suicide and watch a fucking stream, thanks for nothing faggots.

This shit looks like a freemium game but it’s not free.

$10 save files. Yep.

Street Fighter 5 is a freemium game that is not free.
this game just has timers for shit that would also take time in real life.
if your potato farm would produce every 5 minutes, it would make the game too easy.

If you enjoy grinding for materials and not playing the game while you wait for resources to harvest, this is for you. It's more like a mobile game at the home base, and it's just a mediocre stealth game outside of it. You could say it's action-y, but once you clear out an encampment of enemies they never come back, so it's hardly action packed. The only way to fight more enemies is to do repeatable sidem issions which are just turret defense.

You have to pay an additional $10 to get a second save file.

How bad is the storage space upgrade?

its a lot like this
>prepare at base
>go out to do mission using up all your resources (food/water/defenses)
>go back to base
>get new blueprints/materials/Base Upgrades
>upgrade your character
>now you are out of resources
>do a run of sidemissions gathering food and water so you can tackle the next main mission

at least thats the loop i found myself in for half of the game.

oh and most missions are either "infiltrate this place to touch a thing"/ "find this survivor and bring him back"/ "defend this location for a couple of minutes"
i hope this helps, the gameplay is pretty solid (its Fox Engine after all) but the melee feels a little clunky, but probably on purpose because melee weapons arent finite like ammo
