>Square Enix will release an official mod creation tool after the release of Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition.
>Tabata said that rather than just play the game how developers assume users will play, it is better to have users play the game on a broader basis. He thinks the ways that users overcome what the developers conceived is interesting.
>Mods will even support surreal ways of playing, like changing all of the character models to Kenny Crow.
>Model data is being prepared on the user side, which will allow players to freely change models.
>There are plans in place to later on be able to create maps, quests, and scenarios with the tool.
>our game is shit, we dont know what to do, pls fix it for us mmmh, dunno but it sounds familiar
Eli Jackson
Hope someone makes a mod to have the guest characters permanent.
Cooper Foster
Here's hoping someone can put dlc episode seamlessly into main game
Angel Morales
i hope
Cooper Ward
at that point you might as well give away the luminous engine, not like square will ever use it for jack shit
Sebastian White
Square learning from the West, finally.
Dylan Peterson
I really shouldn't be excited for this game but I am
Nicholas Johnson
What the fuck is up with the half life crossover stuff. It actually managed to be weirder than Vindictus's half life stuff.
Benjamin Roberts
Why is the combat in Comrades so much better than in the main game? And when will Aranea and Luna get the proper screentime they deserve? Literally only 4 characters got proper screentime during the entire game.
Jonathan Perry
>be able to swap out the main cast with all cute girls
I'm so ready.
Jaxon Phillips
When is the Royal patch coming out for PS4?
Nathan Cruz
Because why not I guess? Jap devs seem to like doing stuff like this for steam releases. Nier had a few valve related items, Disgaea on PC had some prinny related items for TF2.
Owen James
Can we mod tittymonsters and thick goddesses or are model changes the norm for japanese games?
Infact the japs think modding = changing models.
Isaac Gonzalez
Don't think there's any sort of release date for it yet.
Jonathan Lewis
I'm so hyped
Grayson Thomas
Mainly the magic system is actually useful and NOT universally prone to friendly fire.
Also, the movesets were expanded to be more fast-paced and less overspecialized.
Luke Baker
Holy fuck, mod support. I wasn't so excited before but now I'm hyped. FFXV Nexus when?! As soon as the creation tool is released I'm gonna be on that shit immediately.
Chase Watson
Me too
Ryan Cooper
Replace all models with Cindy pls. Especially player characters.
Jaxon Mitchell
Are you complaining about mod support?
Zachary Fisher
I hope they enjoy their success that got fooling 5 million people to be their beta tester, i'm very sure every FF games from now on will hit million sales easily because we're willing to pay money like a fool.
Ryder Nguyen
>PC users will create faster (and better) the FF7 remake
Sebastian Roberts
>ever having hype
Cooper Reed
This will be the next skyirm assuming the mod tools are easy to use
Jaxson Peterson
I really want to like this game, I truly want to. I put so many hours into it, enjoyed the characters, but there are little things that just keep cutting into me, making me dislike it despite how much I do enjoy it. The female characters are all shit, visually appealing, but shit nonetheless. They don't get any time to develop their own unique personalities, become two dimensional and purely for plot convenience. Lunafreya is the worst example of this, you're constantly shoved this sappy love story of her and Noctis, but the two of them barely get any time to show anything more than Noctis having a messiah complex over wanting to save her and construing that as love. When I played through Chapter 9 and 10... I lost any interest I had in the game, it all died and I just felt wounded by how it all just... went to shit. DLC won't cover it up, they act like it will, but it won't. They tried this shit with Final Fantasy XIII's sequels, it fucking failed. I feel bad, because I see something in it worth playing, this was my first attempt to get back into the FF train, but it disappointed me. I don't know how I would recommend fixing it, I am at a loss since there are things I wish it had, but being a gay man... this game isn't meant for me. I have remorse over what time I spent on this game, and I wish I never played it.
Jack Bell
Unfortunately that number is 7 million now. Who's the fanbase for this game? Women?
Nathaniel Cruz
>but being a gay man... this game isn't meant for me. What the hell?
Daniel Hughes
No one cares
Dylan Taylor
>but being a gay man... this game isn't meant for me That's objectively wrong. This game is for gay men and women.
Xavier Nguyen
>>being a gay man
Oliver Martin
all this game needs is a tool to change the combat i cant imagine story mods being successful
Charles Bailey
>Change these NPC models with another character model!
Wow truly this is the modding renaissance.
Jack Hall
>Chocobo boners mod
I can't fucking wait.
Dylan Fisher
>but being a gay man... this game isn't meant for me.
Blake Stewart
>>There are plans in place to later on be able to create maps, quests, and scenarios with the tool. In before people recreate games like FFV and FFVI and stuff, in the FFXV engine. Only to be shut down.
Isaac Parker
I can't contain my hype
Lucas Bennett
The only story mod I want if its even feasible to integrate is so that when Gladiolus leaves the group you play his episode, when Noctis defeats Leviathan you play Ignis' episode and when Noctis leaves Tenebrae you play Prompto's episode.
Owen Hughes
>Let the users fix our game >no cost >sheep even buy the game >SE grows fatter >"heh.. nothin personnel fans"
THE ABSOLUTE STATE OF TABATA AND THE FANBASE
Anthony Brown
>Turn based combat mod Would you use it?
Nathaniel Thomas
Is there really anyone who still gives a shit about this game? It's almost been two years since the initial release.
Brandon Evans
>Who's the fanbase for this game? Women? Probably most of Versusfag.
Nathan Diaz
Wait so, what exactly is the multiplayer of FFXV? I heard there's character creation and all that but is that true? Like, how does FFXV support MP at all?
Lucas Hall
>just waiting for SFM DLC addition which has you create your own character and do missions.
Jackson Brooks
How extensive is the chargen? 5 different presets per face, hair and so on and thats it or is it flexible?
Wyatt Richardson
The character creation was surprisingly good, really lacking in hair and clothing at the start though but you do unlock some more. The combat is also a LOT better than the main game's combat.
Tyler Flores
Didn't they add more in the recent update?
Julian Perry
The uh, chest slider was fucking awful. Seriously, are mosquito-bites the biggest they'll let us choose?
The rest seems cool but god fucking damn, those aren't breasts those are just barely weird growths.
Nathaniel Ramirez
>but being a gay man...
I found your problem.
Austin Morgan
youtube.com/watch?v=pBeDeWcI7jQ They'll be allowing you to use the models from the main game and adding a bunch of other stuff in the March update. Not sure what the latest update added though.
Dominic Hernandez
is girugamesh in this game?
Jayden White
How long until someone mods in the Comrades combat to main game, along with changing the movesets of enemies? Along with also letting us use summons when we want to?
Charles Foster
Actually, that's one thing that would work well as a mod. If they implement Comrades combat in the main game
Hunter Rogers
Is it free of denuvo cancer? If yes I might actually get it once all these improvements and expansions are actually implemented. I can only pity the people who bought and played the unfinished garbage at the time of its initial release. But from the sound of things the game might actually be able to redeem itself to worthwhile status.
But if it comes with denuvo then I'll probably just carry on acting like the game never even existed. Which isn't much different from before to be honest.
Brody Thompson
>being so retarded you can't separate criticizing a game for its faults and criticizing a company for allowing their userbase to easily modify the game to their every whim
You've got problems you 5 year old.
Isaiah Wood
They updated the EULA yesterday with no mention of Denuvo, but we won't know until the game is out. With what they're doing with mods I'd assume that it's easier to leave Denuvo out.
Brody Sanchez
>tfw too poor for new pc How will it perform with that ryzen+apu shits? Has anyone tested it?
Samuel Lopez
>WINDOWS EDITION HYPE THREAD >posts news for more DLC.
fail op was fail
Zachary Garcia
Sweet. Then I'll actually probably get it eventually. When the updates and stuff are done.
Austin Harris
see you in 2020
Anthony Hughes
Call me in 2020 when all the content is out and i can pirate it
Easton Evans
do you think we'll be able to mod back in Cidney's jiggle?
Justin Nguyen
Yeah. I have patience. I am expecting to have to wait a long time. But I really don't want to get it at release. It'll be both more expensive, and less featured. A really poor combination.
As stated. I can only pity the people who bought and played the game at its initial release. They must have really drawn the short end of the stick.
Austin Wilson
March 6th
Parker Wilson
Speaking on this, how worth it is Comrades? The multiplayer portion is the only thing making me question whether to buy it now or wait until it's finished.
Cameron Harris
BTW, they said the last dlc will be 2019.
Owen Hill
I level with you
I just beat FFXV the other day and for the life of me I could not tell you what the plot of the game was
Bentley White
Comrades is pretty fun for what it is. Not worth buying the game for.
Isaiah Hernandez
>finalfantasyxv.com/en/windows-edition >Microsoft Store:items >Steam:clothes >Origin:regalia skins inb4 ultimate master last kingdom royal jester edition with everything included
Charles Ward
I'm actually hype because I like bro adventures and road trip movies so I know that I will enjoy it.
Isaac Turner
Me too
Anthony Brown
>inb4 ultimate master last kingdom royal jester edition with everything included They already announced that; it's called mod support.
Jose Bailey
And those DLCs will probably need fixes or whatever. 2020 sounds reasonable even with things going on schedule. And then there is always the risk of delays or them deciding to add something more to anyway.
Armiger Unleashed is literally saving the game. It looks so inspired by the first Versus and E3 2013 trailer. Gonna mod it so that it's the main mode to play with
Eli Evans
Nah
Square said they are taking their time to polish the episodes
William Bailey
>forcing you to equip accessories to activate abilities i hate this
Kevin Jones
Thanks. Guess I'll wait then.
Anyone notice these captchas are getting more and more obnoxious?
Aiden Lopez
Yes
Parker Evans
CIDNEY SFM PORN INCOMING, LADS
Carter Martinez
It's already out there. This just means we might get to see it in-game.
Josiah Perez
Full model access we can do more than retexture them, we can add breast physics to cindy and give her skimpier clothing. Oh god I'm gonna cum so much to this game
John Anderson
>It's already out there Not a lot of it, my man. Less than 10 animations, I think. The best and only worthy one is the recent one (the one where she's stroking the cock).
Justin Morris
I don't think I'd say Comrades combat is better, but it is a lot of fun when you can have 4 people playing it together, especially on something like the hard version of Bahamut. Both, I think, needed more time to expand on what was there, but I also think both are fun enough as they are. Comrades has the advantage of continually getting gameplay/content updates as opposed to the main game's single player experience with Noctis and company. Oh, but I forgot. You can switch characters in the main game now. I haven't tried, but that's definitely something.
Leo Martin
Comrades is pretty fun
Brandon Bell
Neat.
Luke Watson
I want Comrades content more than I do anymore Episodes. Hell, I want Comrades as a full, stand alone game.
Joshua Cook
They confirmed they are adding more updates and stuff
Would be great if SE makes a spin off game
Thomas Edwards
He even does the fucking V13 pose. That said it won't fix any of the enemy design and boss design
Jonathan Howard
Because Tabata isn't the director anymore on the MP and DLC nor on the combat fixes later on, you can tell that it was all him with his dumb my old hands hurt shit
Jaxson Anderson
Our game is shit so now we're going full damage control with fanservice
Leo Adams
Too bad the bosses are pretty bad and there's basicly no end game content worth using armiger on
Juan Bailey
Fuck off reseterafag
Jackson Rogers
Well, I mean, I don't think it'd be a good idea to do a spin-off game per se. I do think it might be a good idea for the MP mode to be sold as a stand alone thing, but I doubt they'll do that. They want to sell it with FFXV and all the other DLC they're throwing at it. But, a lot of what's in Comrades is testing for what Tabata's new IP will probably be doing. A lot of all the DLC and post-launch stuff is just Tabata's team experimenting with what they can do with FFXV in prep for their new IP.
Landon Hall
I want to hope, but i have a feeling it will just be teleports with slightly more actual inputs. Overall this games combat needs a whole new start including the enemy and boss balance and hitstun. Doesn't really matter if you have a good armiger when you just hit sponges with it
Lincoln Flores
>>There are plans in place to later on lol
Ryan Gomez
they are adding that themselves
Aaron Cruz
Why lol?
John Peterson
>Square Enix will release an official mod creation tool after the release of Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition.
How much after? a week? a month? a year? 10 years?
Wyatt Young
Modding doesn't have fuck all to do with Denuvo.
Josiah Nelson
Because it sounds exactly like TW3's or MGSV's mod tools which they never released.
