shit I think this is actually the only real answer. The only thing I've ever known about EDF fans is that they get excited and happy when their game is brought up and I have literally no negative association with them or their game at all.

Too many of them refuse to accept Ace Combat 6 as an equal to 4,5 and Zero.
Stories? All melodramatic with cringe-inducing elements.
Missions? Ace Combat 6 is more repayable per mission than any other game in the series due.
Aircraft selection? This is the closest to real criticism, but can be forgiven by most because it has almost all of the most requested and most flown aircraft.
And let's not forget the anger that lingers because of platform exclusivity getting in the way of proper analysis of the game on its own.
