There is no arguing that, they pretty much got rid of everything that made 2 unique for 3 and beyond. It was one of the best shooters of last gen, and the campaign was pure kino even if the story wasn't the best.

You can still get at least one or two good full rooms for now but yeah its just about dead now and will be dead for sure once Sony removes it.

I miss the Killzone 2/ resistance 2 and uncharted 2 multiplayers era.

KZ3 should have began with the execution of Rico for fucking up things in KZ2. KZ3's problem is it tried to make things easier for a crowd that just wants to play COD anyways. They should have stuck with appealing to their niche fanbase they had gained with KZ2 for later KZ games. KZ2 was so solid though. Really wish the later games took after it for multiplayer at least.

The big reason I enjoyed it more than the other shooters of that gen was the gunplay. There was a real sense of weight and power behind a lot of them. The way the enemies would react to getting shot was satisfying as all hell.

It was actually purposeful lag believe it or not.

Because so many shooters just have to have tired old ragdoll physics. It is so overused. These death animations look incredible and its because you don't see the body flopping around like a crash test dummy getting hit by a semi.

Same. I loved going into modes either cloaked as a sniper or rushing in to capture a flag, disguised as an enemy.

I'd probably buy a remastered version if it had multiplayer servers up.

I loved grabbing the STA lmg and just holding down R2 in those tiny upper rooms during those objective modes where they were involved. It was usually a pure bloodbath. Infact I loved that the default class was actually given one of the best guns in the game outright. Every fucking room had the rocket launcher banned so the LMG became the next best thing to just melt rooms of people.

Well to be fair the rocket launcher class was a bit ridiculous compared to the rest thanks to boost. The sniper class was overpowered as well.

Everything was its own brand of broken in that game, though. Especially that shotgun. Probably the only things that were honest were the STA-Assault rifle and the notSAW.

Sadly the chances of a remaster are probably 0. I would love to see it at 1080p or 4k

How so? Its pretty good but I never felt it was too op. One good thing they did though was forcing only one main weapon and a sidearm. I don't know of any other shooter that did that. It made playing as each class feel very distinct. Plus the magnum was good enough to even use on its own.

Yeah don't count on it. I don't think Sony would see a lot of dollar signs in remastering it. If they do however I will instantly be buying it and hope the online gets revived for a bit even if just for a short amount of time.

Why are Helghast helmets so cool?

The thing shot, like, some 25 pellets and only took about 5 of those pellets to kill someone. And its range was nothing to scoff at either. God forbid one of those pellets hit a head, because headshots were pretty much all instant kills.

It is a good shotgun I guess. I think the slow fire rate and class system balanced it out a bit though. I like when games have great shotguns. The lack of aim assist makes you have to have good aim with it as well.

Loved the weight behind the guns! Too bad with the third game, they made a patch to have it more simple for the COD fanboys. Even though there was an option to switch back and forth, there was no common middle ground. Those were the days :(

Yeah one is an EU room where all the non-dlc maps get played. The other is always just bodycount. Then there is maybe a dozen or more smaller rooms but most stay locked which I'm assuming is just friends playing with each other. If you get on now you might still be able to find at least one decent rooms. All what is left is die hards I assume that don't want to let go.

I think more play it than KZ3. I tried both earlier today and got almost nothing with KZ3.
