I beat him the original game like 3 years ago. Playing this again for the first time since, I got completely and utterly bamboozled on my first attempt because I couldn't remember the pattern of the cross beams at the very beginning. My second attempt, I made it about 3/4ths of the way through the fight. Not bad for being rusty, imo.

As a character. He's an asshole in every appearance he makes throughout the game, even when you're not killing anyone, and Toby tacked a vague, mysterious backstory to him specifically to generate fandom lorefags. I hate that shit.
I fucking hate Chara too, for similar reasons.

Doesn't he, at one point, tell you that if it wasn't for some promise he makes to Toriel, he would've killed you when you met without remorse?

He literally threatens you that you would already be dead by his hands if it wasn't for Toriel. This happens during your pacifist run.

I never cared much for Sans. Not fond of overtly lazy characters, especially when they don't do their jobs until shit really hits the fan and it's much too late. Then again, this game doesn't really have the best characters. Still baffles me why people like any of them.

Well, Monsters have the potential to wage war against humans and they even plan on killing children and take their soul.
That shit works both ways. If he can justify killing you, you can justify killing every monster you come across.

First time I did a genocide run, took me about 2 weeks to beat him, with multiple attempts per night. followed that run with a pacifist, then I did another genocide and beat him first try.

That line undoes a lot of his character for me. You could be the kindest sweetheart in the game, and he's still throwing threats at you? I don't care if he's lived this timeline a million times. If it were me, I'd do my best to enjoy every second of a TP run. And if he really gave a shit about his brother, he'd save him no matter what the promise, for an eternity, if he had to.

Yes, but it's a bit easier in the actual game due to input lag. On the other hand, thia is 60 fps, it looks fucking great.

said. You essentially take the place of the final boss and sans is fighting you. Just like in most action games, the protag has to dodge a lot to stand a chance. Even the song that's playing is your theme.

Especially when you kill monsters in self-defense and they go "HOW COULD YOU"

No, you're right. Its weird feeling and the hit boxes are a little iffy compared to the actual game. I think the delay in movement is a little iffy as well but that might just be the result of the hit box issue

I beat him like ayear or two ago, I remember counting how many tries, I could swear it was in the mid 30s. Took me a very frustrating two hours, but that was two hours of constantly trying and genuinely thinking of giving up.

95% of the monsters don't know you're human, its a little dumb like a few of the plot points that are told to us but never really shown, but it is a plot point. I think Toby could have done it better but maybe Frisk is just really really emotionless and literally doesn't react to pain or something.
