I don't understand how anyone can have trouble with 3-2. It's the easiest area in the game and I had no idea the bugs could even break your stuff because they are so slow. If anything my only problem with it is that I find it boring

3-2 has some of the best atmosphere and design in the entire series.

It's not the worst but I can understand why some people might get annoyed by it. It's a very lengthy levels where you can fall down somewhere, my personal cause of death #1, pretty easily and then have to drag yourself through all of it again.

can anyone tell me hows the performance on the emulator? Is it playable yet? I tried it like year ago, but it still ran like shit

4-2 is worse

What? I can understand getting annoyed at one of the levels without checkpoints like 1-4 but 3-2 is so simple. Both the gargoyles and bugs die in 2-3 hits if you have already done world 2 and a shield makes the crossbows harmless. The only tricky part is the death trap of an elevator in the towers

I dont know why no one fucking knows this still despite the game being 9 years old but demons souls publishing rights are split 3 ways between bandai namco, atlus, and sony. The reason they havent made a remaster is because of that.

This. I can handle 4-2 fine nowadays but it had me in fits during my first run. Fucking skelly knights and invisible laser beam monsters.

The boss is arguably the hardest in the game. Also, eat shit, 3-2 is amazing.

4-2 is arguably the best-designed level in the game. It is very difficult, but there's a lot of variety, and the gauntlet style is in stark contrast to the rest of the game.

If we do get a remaster, I don't think they will announce it until after the DaS remaster is out.

I dunno, latria was my favorite area in the game. Both 3-1 and 3-2. The only part that gave me trouble in my first playthrough was the mindflayer on the spiral staircase but you can run back to him in 30 seconds every time.

The Bugs and Gargoyles were pretty easy, I died twice to the Chutulus and got my ear broken once by the bugs.
Overall it was a pretty easy level except for the boss fight. I fucked that up so many times, I think my Death Count for that boss alone is in the twenties.
Worst part about it is, the ~3 min run to the boss at least I farmed some spices
