Kenka Bancho is very good

>My name is tobukara, I'm a 14 year old exchange student attending the Yamaha high school.

yeah but i think only the psp game has a localization?

Right here. kenka bancho badass rumble. A PSP game I loved so much I actually went and bought it after I played it. It's fucking fantastic. Solid beatemup with great melodramatic moves, fun costume options, and a good story if you're interested in that.

>delinquent manga
>15yo students look like 40yo doujin rapists

>There will never be a Bully/Yakuza Amalgamation where you play a delinquent leading a japanese High School Biker Gang in the 70s or 80s

Did this ever got released?

youtube.com/watch?v=Rp16B_HKFfU

That was the mobile game, it was a gachapon game, lasted about a year and a half. Shut down april 1st 2016 after starting in december 2014.

here's a shit vid I recorded.
youtube.com/watch?v=hEHVS9C27M0

Here's the title of the game in japanese
疾走、ヤンキー魂。
Be aware it'll bring up results from the mobile game AND the original 2003 mmo on pc. They were very very different games.

bancho games tend not to do well because it's a childish thing, you don't aspire to be a bancho unless you're already a punk.

The Kunio-kun games
Bully is unironically the closest you'll get to a big game with a decent budget behind it with that sort of setting

Got a problem with that?

>Japs don't like one of the coolest character archetypes they've ever made
Only popular punk/delinquent characters I can think of are the guys from Yu Yu Hakusho.

Japs are weird about this stuff.
Having muscles is also gay as fuck to them.

i know right, it's fucking awesome, imagine a recent game with this concept, would be The Warriors tier of good

It's not that we don't like them, it's sort of like how people in the west look down on people who watch kids shows. It's beneath you, something that maybe you did in your past. Yakuza is a popular series because it's seen as what you might have seen a bancho become, but then kiryu fixes himself instead of being a loser yakuza. (sort of).
Bancho games just don't really tend to do well anymore though, with how many people play video games.

Also yankee games are just even harder to justify, yankees aren't a thing anymore and haven't been for nearly a decade. Motorbikes totally replaced them.

>Having muscles is also gay as fuck to them.
Seriously? Looks like I have to cut down if I ever want to get a waifu

Are middle school/high school brawls becoming less common in Japan?
Yankees and GAL culture is also kind of dead in the water as well I'm guessing.

Thanks user. I couldn't find a gameplay to save my life.

If you go to the gym at all, you are suspicious. After all, why would you want to go to a place filled with sweating men?
If you are buff, you are 100% hard gay. You are so fucking gay, it's completely acceptable to call out as gay dude on the street.

They're not really a thing anymore. Everyone keeps to themselves because of larger yakuza influence even in young kids, everyone has phones now, and not just phones, phones capable of really high quality video recording meaning small delinquencies that were really important to growing up and teaching you to not be a shithead will ruin your life.

yankee stuff is totally gone. I was a yankee as a kid (if you look on my youtube channel you can probably tell even though I don't upload much) and it just phased out, people walk places or just take the train now, bikes don't really get sold as they're so expensive and people would rather spend money on phones and toys.
I was never big into gal stuff but it's mostly novelty (though, was it ever not?) nowadays. You see ganguro chicks walking around shinjuku, but I don't see gal culture groups anymore, no one talks about it online, the magazines don't sell, so yeah, pretty much gone.

yes my favorite manga is initial d

That game was a fun time. Hurling insults at people was fun.

Thanks user. This was a really interesting read.

Same shit in America really, middle school/high school brawls were never as organized as they are in Japan but they're completely gone now.
If you're getting bullied and the bully hits you you just have to lay there and take it due to "Zero Tolerance Policy" where all parties receive equal punishment. It's just an excuse for the administration to not have to think about a case and assign punishments based off that.

Is there any replacement or is youth culture pretty much gone now?
We had some shitty, localized kind of youth culture in my country a few years back, but it's pretty much gone now. Kids just "are" around here, except for some retarded kids that stab each other on grounds of what countries their parents came from.

What if that place is filled with sweating women?

That's even gayer. Do you even Japan, user?

No. That's why I'm asking.

>If you are buff, you are 100% hard gay.
Its your opinion.

I don't hang around kids that much, I'm 27 now, so a bit late for me to be hanging around schools. But I don't see kids that much unless they're on trips, and there's certainly fewer cliques as english speakers call them. They just seem less interested in being around real life and more interested in being on phones and line and stuff. I guess I can't blame them, I escape reality on my bike.

There wasn't much acceptance of it 10-15 years ago either, I got beaten by my mom and dad so many times for being a little shithead, but they taught me to be a good person, I think. Now, people are good, but are afraid, not good by trial.

>tfw i went to high school in japan and was a legit delinquent
>snuck out of school to go fuck my gf and eat ramen, beat up kids for their lunch money, etc.
>wore my uniform all edgy and roughed up and had a curly afro at the time
nobody believes me though kek

It's not my opinion, I'm hitting the gym and I'm pretty sure I'm not hard gay.
On the other hand, I constantly see buff japanese dudes get approached under the assumption that they are literal faggots. I'm a foreigner so I don't get it as much, but I still get it more often than the other foreigners I hang out with and I shure as fuck don't look or act like a twink.

>people are good, but are afraid, not good by trial
This statement resonates well even across the globe my friend.
Kids used to just beat the aggressions out of each other. Guys often became friends after a good fight, it builds respect for each other when you clock each other in the face.
Now everybody acts like women, spreading rumors and gossiping. I was in high school 5 years ago, and everyone just used gay drama to settle everything.

I see. That youth culture thing was everywhere around here a few years back, so you didn't even have to interact with kids at all to see it.
But it seems like it's the same everywhere. Actual youth culture has pretty much withered away outside of some small pockets, like your usual group of nerds or metalheads.

Oh yeah! What was your badass nickname?

Nickname? I never really had a nickname

i didn't have one, my name is finn so that's what they called me

There's no point in talking to you if you don't have a cool name like Fireball Junior No.2

none of us had nicknames besides just shortening long names like shoichiro

You mean to tell me that you were a delinquent in a Japanese high school and you were never given a nickname by other students? What kind of badass-wannabe doesn't have a nickname?

El Cabrito

he's pretending to be me for some reason lol

エル・カブリト。。。

...

Don't think I seen anyone say River City Ransom and the rest of the Kunio games..... Literally just about Japanese high school delinquents

Thanks for giving me that feel.

Someone mentioned the Kunio games earlier. There was a new one released recently on the 3DS too, right?

Where is that page from?

The Kunio-kun tag team tournament game is the shit.

Cromartie High School

3 years ago, and it was a samurai game.

Danke

If you didn't have a badass nickname like Hellshake Yano or The Real Rock 'n' Roller, you may as well have not existed.

>Rape guy: Ookami no Rape

Uppers is a pretty decent
crows burning edge is only worth it if you're suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper into crows x worst
Kenka bancho is fun but the gameplay is lacking
Yakuza black panther 1 and 2 are more to do with a teenager in the yakuza but still pretty delinquent
any of the kunio-kun games apart from the medieval one

youtube.com/watch?v=hXMhdjckW1A

The Kunio games in general were hardcore as fuck

Your English is really good, user. Be honest, are you a hapa?

You pretty much summed them all up.

fuck forgot to mention the ps3 sakigake otokojuku is pretty fun if you're into the manga/anime

UPPERS

>Zero Tolerance Policy
That's so retarded. No wonder you have school shootings.

My favorite is the 2nd snes beat em up, which is a prequel of the first nes game, but sequel of the arcade one.

Also 4 fucking players.

ADK damashii on the ps4 has a fighting game that is only delinquent characters

No, I just paid attention in school cause I wanted to live in america when I was a teenager. I thought japan was boring and had an extreme wanderlust. I learned english in my free time after I graduated high school. I'm a mechanic and work on harley davidson motorcycles a lot, which have manuals in english.
I wish I was more interesting, but don't we all?

youtube.com/watch?v=QmwYygAyM98
name me a more kino japanese delinquent opening
i dare you

Are there even any good delinquent anime?

only ovas
and most of them don't have subs

only ovas excluding cromartie high school obviously

Name 5.

Tenjou Tenge but only watch the first episode, ONLY THE FIRST ONE

rokudenashi blues
Crows
Bebop high school
kyou kara ore wa
shonan junai gumi

if you want some live action stuff aswell
check out crows zero 1 2 and explode
bebop high school youtube.com/watch?v=WFTVfAHHfIs
Rookie

>Crows
Crows Zero 1 and 2 were great by Miike Takashii, but the 3rd one by some nobody was absolute fucking garbage.

>That nod to the movies every time the 2 main actors meet up in random series or movies

>Recommending explode
Don't do that to him user

If I weren't shitposting on the train, I'd make a pompadour wojak just for you.

>by some nobody
check out blue spring if you've got a minute and if you like that try 9 souls that dude has legit made some great stuff
i'll agree on crows explode not being as good as 1 and 2 though

>by some nobody
It was by the guy who did the Blue Spring movie which is supposed to better than the Crow movies so there's that.

comparing crows and blue spring is like comparing apples to oranges my man
they're both great but completely different

Didn't like Blue Spring that much though, 9 souls on the other hand, as a director he's pretty much hit and miss

9 souls gets way too much shit for being such a great movie

on the note of movies
kids return is also a great movie
youtube.com/watch?v=544bkI1hmGk

It's actually a sequel to Nekketsu Kouha, but a prequel to Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari. Although Kishimoto would probably retcon all the non-Nekketsu Kouha games if it was up to him.

i prefer manga so ill recommend some:
angel densetsu - has an anime
ochanigosu
beelzebub - also has an anime
yankee-kun to megane-chan - i think there is a live action film for this

Aren't your schools pretty bad at teaching English?

tfw no Kyou Kara ore Wa game

>I learned english in my free time after I graduated high school
Here's your answer. The schools are shit, but even shit is a foundation. Me, I taught myself english during middle school by reading english books starting with Harry Potter, because school wasn't going anywhere.

I appreciate it, user. Here, have this.

Kenka Banchou Otome. An absolutely realistic portrayal.

>Harry Potter

for a yankee you sure are a fucking nerd

...

Why did they sell out like that and start catering to girls?
It's weird as hell to me

Why did who sell out?

>Guys often became friends after a good fight, it builds respect for each other when you clock each other in the face.
Have you actually seen it happen? I've heard this before, but what I have seen (in Eastern Europe) is guys just learning to avoid each other to save themselves the bodily harm and keep their dignity. Maybe little kids do it.

I think you are confusing delinquent with weeabo and Japan with Kentucky.

SRW
youtube.com/watch?v=8HQN-_quWcQ

happened to me in high school me and this guy got into a fight for no real reason and the next week we were sitting next to each other in every class and talked all the time

I'm not Japanon, but we also have shit-tier english education in schools around here.

>middle school students look like giant 40 year old bandits from a post apocalyptic world

We're too busy arguing about college basketball to come up with good nicknames for each other.

t. Kentucky

It's a weird mentality. If someone attacks you then normally you'd just fuck them up (or kill them) and consider them an enemy from then on.

It happened to me once. I didn't like this one kid and then I think we got in a fight and after that we were cool. This was in 4th grade or something so I barely remember the details. Its weird how that works, but I wish it happened more often instead of people just hating each other over petty shit.
