MGO2 had you pay for extra character slots. It's not a new idea.

I enjoy making characters and using cosmetics and such, I would. And I don't like the idea of spending 10 bucks on a single slot.

Since Kojima is gone from Konami I know we're probably not getting any more MGS games. But how would you feel about Konami making a game like MGS but without the same cast of characters? Maybe you're a soldier similar to BiBo or Solid but you work for a different government? Same gameplay and idea as other MGS games but it doesn't ever intersect with the MGS timeline (maybe some references to what's going on in the world but you never see Solid or BB or any characters from those games).

Does the story? Not in the slightest. The gameplay itself is basically an evolution of V's gameplay, except that you're managing a small group of survivors instead of a huge base.

By default every Metal Gear game that doesn't involve Kojimbo is invalid and fanfiction.

I would personally be willing to give a pass to one that was incredibly high quality, as in "better than MGS5 in every conceivable way including its strongest parts" level, however looking at Survive there is fuck-all chance of that shit happening. With this level of team, I would rather they didn't even try. Anything they do can only sully the brand further.
