He did, but he wanted the sequel to be about Grey Fox fighting nanomachine zombies. Literally what Survive is about, and people judged Survive, when Kojima wanted to ruin MGR with that shit years ago. Plat didn't like the idea though.

As far I know, the idea of gray fox slashing zombies wasn't for the sequel but for the first game itself, that's why in the end platinum added a grayfox dlc costume

Platinum has probably a lot on their plate now, but a proper sequel to MGR 2 is something i will always wait for.
