That's why Persona is neat when you just slap a button and have it auto play for you.
Obviously skipping gameplay is not really a good thing that should be applauded, but it does help a bit.

youll understand one day when you grow up

you mean the opposite ARPGs are shit

>Patience
What does that have to do with it? Or are you some sort of retard who thinks all games are multiplayer?

...

I'm so happy to not suffer from adhd.

>t. No strategy button mashing brainlet

You faggots must not even have jobs to scroll through endless menues of items and moves just to do the same thing every fucking fight. Seriously can't wait till devs stop making this absolute schlock and move on to better FPS and RTS games.

I have a job, I can only play video games in the weekends because of this.
Please make it stop.

Yeah and I don't even feel sorry for you. Fucking christ its not even that I like casual play. Turn based shit needs to go. 10 Years ago.

Kill yourself ADHD faggot.

Sure am glad I don't have the attention span of a hopped up autistic kangaroo you spazzing faggot

>Turn Based Combat
>DROPPED. Seriously who has the fucking patience to play this shit.
How did you manage to all type that with this small attention span?

>OPMtard can't comprehend good gameplay
kek'd

>retardedly slow gameplay is for smart individuals
I think you have that backwards you neanderthal.

Not OP, I don't hate turn based combat but I wish I could enjoy it. I played a bit of Valkyria Chronicles and got some way in, but I'm too much of a brainlet to play well.

My case is the opposite. When I see action RPGs, I can't help but know the combat will probably be garbage.

>VC
>Brainlet
Just scout rush, it works of 4/5 maps.

>liking turn based combat
arc the wew lad. I guess if you lost a hand its understandable
forty keks

I don't understand why you're posting a picture of yourself

Then again I'm pretty surprised you're even capable of making any replies cause I would've assumed you would've forgotten what you read the nanosecond you finish reading

DROPPED. Seriously who has the fucking patience to watch this shit.

>mfw someone dares to like what I don't like
normies weeeee

>calls people who do brainlets
go play the last remnant and we'll see who's the real brainlet here

you don't belong here

I don't think he needs to do anything to prove he's a brainlet

Running the world and dealing with random encounters that demand that you use the same cycle of attacks until the win condition is met isn't fun. On top of that the level of interaction is seriously weakened by the fact you don't have any palpable mobility and instead you're dependent wholly on your stats. Finally the level of interaction you get is repetitious not only in that there is an optimal chain of events but in that chain of events the animations and audio are largely or totally the same throughout the game.

Basically it's a grind from the gate instead of offering rewarding and fun experiences.

>Menu options is gameplay
go dunk your head in a toilet.

>Turn based combat equals JRPGs with random encounters
It really doesn't. I like the combat in Divinity: Original Sin for example.

even final fantasy 1 was good op

kekus maximus
try again kid.

Yes. Thank you. Inb4 I don't have the patience to write out a coherent paragraph to describe my thoughts.

>Defining what fun is in a genre he knows nothing about

k buddy

There's less strategy involved in TBS games than any non-turn based game. Positional awareness, positioning, angle of attack, timing, movement, engagement range, baiting, kiting. There isn't necessarily a definitive chain of engagement in any "action game" whereas with a TBS game you're pitted against enemies in a 2D arena that ignores the 3rd dimension and all but the basest of player input. It was an acceptable means to demonstrate character strength and progression but it hardly has a place in the larger environment of gaming.

It's forever locked into a niche now.

ARPG's always feel so hollow to me. Like one ability can mow down a fuck ton of enemies. You walk through shit in ARPG's and most enemies just feel the same in my opinion. I don't have fun. There is a huge disconnect between the mechanics and myself whenever I try. It feels like I'm playing an arcade game.

Only "real" 3D strategy game I've played was Homeworld, and terrain isn't that relevant since it takes place in empty space most of the time.

Anyone without ADHD.

You know Saitama goes over King's house to play old turn based games right?

>Seriously who has the fucking patience to play this shit.
Adults

They even play a parody Pokemon game together. OP is fucking up on multiple levels

Turn based is my favorite type of combat. I don't have very good reflexes, so it's more fun for me to do turn based .

I know enough about them to know that FFX and Chrono Trigger are the same fucking game with optimal character cycles and they're both highly repetitive and boring and that TBS doesn't fall into a singular genre like it appears you do.

it is though. the thrill of saving a chaotic world kept me going

>whereas with a TBS game you're pitted against enemies in a 2D arena that ignores the 3rd dimension
How many TBS games have you played user?

I just checked that out, the Devs made it seem pretty neat, but I'd be willing to bet if you weren't keen on taking the overly complex route of drowning people in lava you'd be just as well served building for damage and eHP. Assuming you can build, that is.

I don't really get what you're talking about. I just CC people for days and hit hard with swords.

Like four, and they all got dropped.

I don't even typically play JRPGS but several of the best games ever are turn based.

Exactly,
youtube.com/watch?v=ga6uJaGyrEk
They go through all these steps unnecessarily when you can just batter the shit out of mobs.

>it's another "every turn based game is a shitty JRPG thread"
End this

souls games aren't deep.

>FFX and Chrono Trigger are the same fucking game
(Thou)

wrong
It's more like "every shitty turn based game is a JRPG"
D:OS2 was pretty good because it wasn't made by japs

CCing people in creative ways is fun though. What I'm really mad about in the second game is that there's no longer a bonus for melee attacking someone who's knocked down.

No game is "deep," and I ironically wasn't even using Souls as my model but rather Counter Strike.

plenty of games are user. it just gets misused here

? turn based games are only as slow as you though, since the only thing you're waiting on is (YOU) to take your turn

The best part about these images is that the shittily drawn features added by people who werent the original, look ripped straight off of a standard wojak.
