What's the Sup Forumserdict?

Voiced protag was a mistake.
The rest was fine.

It was an enjoyable garbage pile to play in, but I would have preferred some of the fan-speculated projects instead.
Is Fallout FROST playable yet?

Depends. Are the porn mods good?

hates newspapers

Honestly thought it was pretty fun. Dialog wheel was awful though.

As a modded survival game it's really good. Vanilla is really bad.

>ultrameme

>poorfag

>The rest was fine.

seriously though, is that some bleak ENB? can you honestly say you enjoy playing with dulled color

shit

It's the Moribund World weather overhaul.

oh, so it's just owed to the specific time of day, right

i just finished subnautica and i want more.

will fallout 4 please my autism? i like comfyness and exploration. i heard you can build your own vault, that's like the definition of comfyness

Yes.

it's shit

Absolute shit. Not sure how Bethesda managed to write a worse game than Fallout 3, but they did. Also literally the new mechanics they added were terrible and not worth removing every single RPG element for.

comfy af

doesn't quite have the support for sex mods as skyrim, but with time I think it can surpass it.

It's one of the best open world games ever.

10/10

It's pretty comfortable building your own vault, user. You're basically in a huge cave with a metric shit-ton of room to go nuts in.

Basing the game's core systems around one of the worst mods of 3 and NV was a stupid idea. Now you have to essentially play garbage collector every time you go out because who knows what the hell you will need to build your shit, and then you start having to defend your base right after that so you're stuck playing nanny. It's infuriating.

>Fallout 4.
They just took story from F3 and added weird shit from NV. The base building is pure shit. And having to make sure your colonies don't die was a pain in the fucking ass. Also suicidal super mutants that carried a nuke was pure fucking cancer to the series. And fucking up armors and having you combine pieces of armors was fucking terrible. Power suit could only run so far as well was stupid. Fallout 4 is the failed abortion of the Fallout series.

but besides build? is it worth exploring and discovering stuff or it's linear and shit?

it's shit.

not him but i love the bleak/washed out enb/sweetfx overhauls for fallout, makes the wasteland feel more... wastelandy

This old saying seems to trigger people for some reason lately, but this game epitimizes the phrase "it's a good game but not a good 'X' game." Sure, the story and roleplaying elements were complete ass in a series defined by those elements, but it did exploration and gunplay well enough to redeem itself in a certain light. Not the game it should have been by any stretch of the imagination, and it was probably the most disappointing game purchase I have ever made, but I can't say I was completely and utterly repulsed by it. It's completely and utterly mediocre. Anyone who thinks its outright bad hasn't actually played an actual shitty game recently.

It's shit

Pros
>gameplay is great, maybe the best out of all the Fallout games
>Romanceable companions is neat
>Far Harbor and Nukaworld are pretty good

Cons
>settlements
>story
>voiced protag
>radiant quests that never fucking end
>most of the DLC's suck, Nukaworlds story really sucks

Oh I forgot more cons
>not an RPG
>Different builds don't mean anything, since you can do everything on one character
>No real evil choices, unless you go full retard with Nukaworld

all memeing aside...

solid 8/10

the gunplay and exploration felt great. LEAGUES better than 3 and NV. Story was not so bad either. Loved the portrayal of the Brotherhood on this one. its almost as if they were the villains. Quite a unique take, i must say.

*goes back to shitting on Fallout 4*

This guy's a fag. Voiced protag was fine, actors were good. Only problem with it is that there needed to be voice options.

If ten years ago I could use a voice changer to make myself sound like fucking Darth Vader in real time while playing CS, there's no reason games like this shouldn't have similar voice customization. Or take it a step further and actually record different voices, like Saints Row.

It was a step up and a step down for the series.

Depends on your IQ level, honestly. If you have a 150+ IQ like me, you will probably enjoy the immersion, the excitement and the lore of Fallout 4. If your IQ is lower, you will probably like Isometric RPG's and Fallout New Vegas.

>lol dood we improved the shooting over the previous fallouts!
>it's still total dogshit compared to any other fps
>lol dood we removed all RPG elements, now you have 3 ways of saying yes and "I'll say yes later"
>lol dood hate newspapers
>lool dood settlement under attack

it's the biggest pile of steaming shit

Story was ass.
Dialog system was ass.
Characters were good, but dialog system was ass so you couldn't interact with them in a satisfying way.
Gameplay and environment was pretty dope.

>is it worth exploring and discovering stuff or it's linear and shit?
Nope. Not worth it at all.

gunplay is a notable upgrade from 3, pretty fun to explore/wander the wastes. bethesda open world games are always best played with a bit of imagination involved on the players end in term of roleplaying a character and only doing things you believe your character would do. most normies i know just play though the quests and stay on the rails the whole time, which would be unbearable for me, the only roleplaying i see most people do in these games is decide whether or not they are going to be "le bad guy" or not which pretty much is just their decision of whether or not they are going to be a murdering psychopath lol. also I wouldnt play w/o mods though

There's not a single thing the game improved on over the former games. Literally not. one. thing. Everything it tried to improve on came with serious downsides.

>muh shooting!
Garbage, because it removed the few RPG elements left the combat had left, yet still manages to keep the retarded "your Perks determine your damage!" element.

Fucking Deus Ex in 2000 pulled it off, but with a 15-year advantage Bethesda is still too stupid to get shooting right in an RPG. Then again, I'm guessing Bethesda devs don't play RPGs.

Bait.
>Depends on your IQ level, honestly. If you have a 150+ IQ like me
You must love the smell of your own farts then. To have that level of arrogance.

I know the main story is bad and the game has faults with the dialog, but I don't play FO3 and NV because of that, I play it for the exploration elements, exploring the fallout American world is what really excites me
Does FO4 deliever the same experience for me as well?

This is the only reason I prefer FO3 over NV, NV was much better overall but FO3 has better side areas. I literally just ignore main storyline and explore the world

>Are the porn mods good?
no

>Its gunplay is surprising well done
>Its new building mechanic is pretty good as well.
>The visuals are the best that Bethesda has ever done
>The RPG side and narrative is crap

It tossed out the core of Fallout and replaced it with a mediocre shooter. Sometimes it doesn't even feel like a Fallout game.

kek

>Does FO4 deliever the same experience for me as well?
I'm about 10 hours into it and I would say no. The game itself just feels very odd compared to 3 or NV mechanically, the shooting is fine but just wandering around and how everything else handles feels incredibly off. Then comes the exploration where you just have bunkers upon bunkers of Raiders or Feral Ghouls that are essentially tanks now, abandoned gas stations with either feral ghouls, dogs, or mosquitoes, Deathclaws all over the place even near the starting area (We're not talking like in NV, there's literally one in a bunker like five minutes away from your Vault at the start of the game and it takes no effort to enter it on top of you getting attacked by the Institution Terminators), and then the radio itself is just CONELRAD songs mixed in with FO3 songs which is incredibly disappointing.

Seriously, fuck Feral Ghouls, I stumbled upon that one trailer park and had to shoot them from the top of a bus because they two-shot me on Hard with 26 defense and they're utter tanks.

Yeah, mechanically it's pretty good. I'd describe Fallout 4 as a mediocre game with good systems.

Layered armor is good, but the actual armors we get suck.
Gun and armor modding is good, but the mods in the game are just lackluster and need much more depth.
Settlement building is good, but the way settlements themselves operate needs to be overhauled (settler AI, self-sufficiency, etc)
Gunplay is really good, but the guns are boring and perks affecting damage so much is dumb (ESPECIALLY when they already have a weapon mod system to make individual weapons more powerful, which makes way more sense)
There's support for skill checks but the game barely uses them.
Power armor is really good, but it's all over the fucking place when it should be rare (the game handing you a suit right when you're fresh out of the vault is beyond stupid)

Just another Bethesda title that needs excessive mods to make it fun. At least the vanilla graphics are pretty good.

stop playing on uber try hard mode. there’s a reason normal is the default difficulty, retard.

Quit breathing, you braindead retard.

I'm one difficulty higher than normal with no overhaul mods. I usually play these games on normal but wanted to try something a bit different and here I'm basically getting the middle finger for it. I had to abuse how sneak works in order to fight off those aforementioned Institution Terminator guys because they could slaughter me in an instant.

>I'm playing on hard
>WHY IS THIS SO HARD

No mod has come out yet that makes the faces look half as good as half of the tesv face mods.

The game treats you like an easily distracted idiot.

Anyone know how I can optimize this game?
I had it running pretty well with quite a lot of mods about a year ago on the same PC, but after reinstalling it, it doesn't run that great even with just a few mods installed.

>You can't romance Nick Valentine without mods
>Not even added as DLC
Only a small nitpick among the laundry list of complaints I have about this game but it's the #1 complaint that still leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Wasted opportunity.

I liked him more than Hancock or Danse.

What waifus does FIIII have?

Overall good but some flaws.

The backstory of the protag hurts roleplay.

this game IS for easily distracted idiots

>yes
>sarcastic yes
>no (yes)
>huh? (yes)

You tell me. This was a series known for it's dialog options and roleplaying and this game had one of the weakest and most transparently shallow dialog wheels in any videogame ever.

Naive robot girl, spunky reporter girl, Irish drug addict.

None of them are awfully cute looking though, you need mods for that.

The best part is that some of those actually play the exact same voice line in certain conversations. Like, not just a similar line with the same phrasing, but the exact same sound file.

all of them sound cute, any submissive?

one is a robot, the other an irish rape victim, and the other is a nosy cunt

i could rest a glass on that brapper

Not really. Still in alpha stages.
