>play Tekken 7 >beat a bunch of people at yellow >”don’t over use lows” >”try not to do this” >”try not to use the same stuff” >”try not to rely on b+3”
God damn, why do the people i beat over and over again seem to be the ones that want to coach me most? I know they, as the higher rank have the battle scars, but why is it always when i win? Use less lows? Do they want a boxing match?
You ever get fustrated for being told you are winning wrong Sup Forums?
Charles Ross
No because fighting games are _not for me_.
James Peterson
Maybe they just want to help?
Angel Foster
But thhey are losing, a lot. I don’t seem to get help from the ones who curbstomp me funnily enough, but when i win a best of 3 i suddenly get a bunch of messages basically telling me my shits still retarded (which it probably is) but godamn if feels like they are posturing a bit. It doesn’t sound like its for my benefit, it sounds like they are telling me “just because you won doesn’t mean you deserved to”
Jace Howard
They're speaking from experience, yes. And lows are ridiculously vulnerable to hopkicks which just happen to be the best, safest, most spammable moves in the game. A bad low can get you launched into a 40% minimum combo. And "don't be predictable" is one of the most basic tips in fucking anything.
Angel Taylor
Nah, I tend to adhere to the mindset and etiquette of stuff when it comes to online games. If the other player isn't doing that, then I'll scrap it, but I'd rather gimp myself and achieve victory than take every advantage I can. Winning is way less important to me than just enjoying myself. But in fighting games, you're usually getting actually good advice from this. It coming from the losing side is irrelevant, the information is still valuable.
Jayden Richardson
I agree great advice, but it only seems to come from the ones a beat consisitenty.
Easton Gomez
>If the other player isn't doing that, then I'll scrap it
Adam Sanchez
Sure enough it sounds like they are licking their wounds. It's still feedback though, you might want to take some of it in.
Parker Myers
nvm i just figured out what you meant
Ethan Collins
Why does Asuka look like a blow up sex doll?
Jeremiah Walker
I fight fire with fire, because I fucking love blazes.
Dylan Hughes
Yeah i know...
David Perez
Because she is a blow up sex doll.
Jonathan Lee
I do this some times and it's nothing to do with posturing, just helping people to improve if i notice something obvious. At least if you're playing in a tighter community, it doesn't matter who's winning or losing, it's about helping each other to improve.
Evan Wilson
>just helping people to improve if i notice something obvious. What's obvious is that you wouldn't have lost if your advice was worth shit.
Henry Clark
That's not true at all, if you actually played fighting games you would realize that
Hudson Cooper
It's a prototype developed for Lili's personal use, obviously it was scrapped for being not remotely good enough.
Noah Diaz
They could be playing a new character also anyone is going to notice you spamming the same few moves and mention not to be so obvious with it.
Carson Morales
>Hey, person I just lost to, you should waste your time practicing X despite it being completely unnecessary for winning.
Jace Hughes
>anyone is going to notice you spamming the same few moves and mention not to be so obvious with it.
Not him but why are they losing best of 3 if its so obvious
Sebastian Diaz
They're tryhards who just know what's good on paper so they're trying to salvage their ego by pointing out what you did wrong. (Which they probably got asshurt over since they knew what they should be doing against you but couldn't perform)
