that is the equivalent of about 4 to 10 GPUs mining ETH at a combined 130 MH/s depending on the model

There is no gold or silver standard anymore. Some countries even peg their currencies to other foreign currencies. This current state of bitcoins is pure speculation.

The largest cyrpto is Bitcoin, just because its not being used as currency to buy a cup of coffee does not mean its currency. The most common use for it now is to use for savings accounts and large wire transfers.
