>watching streamers play video games
Imagine being this mad at someone else's success.
Hey, OP.
Who says and does that? Can you name 1 person?
What are you even talking about?
>streamer with 1000+ viewers has a follower notification with sound notification and graphics
>not donating to the goddess
>Complaining about Titty streamers
>Not watching the superior TipsyKait
twitch tv/tipsykait
> Play some shit game nobody wants to see.
> Complain people don't watch.
> Whilst playing shit people don't want to watch.
> Complain about people not enjoying the game.
Do they expect people to just sit in silence regardless of what's on the screen?
The wagie part of me is glad that the majority of people who stream full time actually can't support themselves and have to resort to living with parents and leeching from them.
I enjoy lara6683. Plays a keyboard and takes requests for subs, as well as giving online lessons. Comfy as fuck stream.
Used to sub to her until i found out she has an asian bf.
Fucking dropped hard
Only watch Filthy, Florry and Arumba, but just a glance. Don't have the time to watch much of their playthroughs
>parents pay for everything
>sit around playing games and get paid for it
Yeah, what a terrible life. So sad.
Eu4 player?
>sub to a girl
>few days later a fucking dude shows up on the stream and she says its her bf
never fucking hit the unsub button so fast, who do these cunts think they are?
Used to be, so fucking bored with it now. Having fun with Slay the Spire and Battle Brothers though
Fucking this. What the fuck is wrong with these women?
I didn't sub to see their bfs ffs
i only watch csgo competitive shit . other than that i don t find enjoyment in watching people playing games ..
>sit on ass playing games all day
>socialize
>get paid for it
>go to events meet other chill streamers, get paid to be there and socialize
>buy new home because twitch money is nice
>visit r/4chin and they're complaining about you and your friends again
sigh
>navel piercing
>Has a black boyfriend
Fuck
>"I'm not in this for the money!"
I've been on twitch for 1.5 years and never seen anyone say this.
Yesterday I was in some dumb roastie whore's channel because I saw someone I follow hosting them, some retarded *****rfruit chick. Only there's nobody there. It's just a chair. Now I've seen chair streams before and never thought anything of it, I thought the streamer was just giving chat something to look at while the chair was there and the game kept playing while they got food or something. Then this dumb bitch shills for the chair in her chat while slowly rotating it around and chair streams suddenly made sense to me.
I said La-Z-Boy chairs are better and left.
Don't hit on me silly boys. Thanks for the money suckers.
Her body is 10/10
I don't like her generic face though
>parents pay for everything
>kid is bringing in enough money to pay for some things though
>get to bond with your parents and spend your days playing video games
how is this making you feel better about yourself? you have a) a shitty relationship with your parents guaranteed, and b) are bringing in barely any money
so grats
>watching any streamer other than /ourguys/ vinny "binyot" Vinesauce and Joel "grand dad" Skelethor
but they make good money streaming
so how are they not supporting themselves?
Loserfruit, yeah she's a manipulative whore.
That isn't kaceytron wtf
Is there anybody of note that streams games on Twitch but doesn't ask for money or talk about subs or any other bullshit? Like they just stream games for fun?
Vinny regularly gets 10k viewers, and he also got his start here.
Okay which is it, frogfags?
me
i mean, i still want your fucking money, asshole
i just won't ASK for it or talk about subs. just remember to give me that damn money, faggot.
I know cr1tikal used to donate all his YouTube earnings to charity. He streams on YouTube though and I don’t know if he’s still doing the charity thing
People who stream are not making enough to save for retirement on the whole. Sure the big ones that pull 10k+ viewers could possibly have the foresight to invest or start some kind of IRA, but looking at their streams I see they spend their money on absolutely frivolous shit. They're dumb when it comes to day to day life management.
People who are poor and end up winning the lottery often spend themselves back into debt. They have poor spending habits and were poor for a reason. Streamers are no different. When the streamer craze dies down or when they inevitably grow less popular the money flow will end with very little marketable skills and no nest egg to fall back on. They're going to get fucked later in life.
>when you give your free monthly Prime sub to Dan but secretly you hate him
Calebhart pls
You have Zelda randomizer runs to do
Gotta get as rusty as possible so you stay a D-tier megaman speedrunner
>Someone donates to Vinny
>"T-Thanks, I guess. Make sure to donate to some of my other clique streamers. They only come online once every other month, but please give them money."
every person ive seen on twitch has
- sub goals
- 'be sure to follow'
- has donate at the top of the stream
- says something like "when i get partnered.."
- complains about not getting growth
if they are none of these, it's likely they're already partnered, sold out, or they are just shit
it's very rare to find a streamer that just streams for the sake of games
>sold her likeness to a reddit community just so she can get into the spotlight again with porn
>pretending to sue
top fucking kek
You mean a wealthy person who streams for fun?
Yeah, that xbox guy on Mixer.
have you all actually considered how much the streamers make? they get 2.50 for every 5.00 sub and donations. without even adding in ad revenue and donations, if someone pulls 1000 subs, they're making $2,500 U.S a month. for playing a video game. and every notable streamer has over 1k subs. someone told me drdisrespect has 40k subs; that guy makes 100k a month on JUST subs alone! it absolutely baffles me how much these streamers make
I've watched some old farts who are obviously just in it for fun and probably retired. One did some Souls playthroughs now he speedruns Last of Us which kind of sucks, but his name is pdub. The other one does State of Decay leaderboard runs all the time nothing else. His name is BigEd1948. I have some others.
no
the big ones will stay big for a lot longer than you think. in like 20 years? yeah, i can see them doing the whole "i need to do other things, life shit" to get out of it.
but if i was making good money? i could easily put it away because IDIOTS WILL GIVE ME MORE. its not JUST twitch, its patreon and any other sites too. i mean, fuck me, some women make like a free 1k a month by virtue of having tits.
IRL Girls in Plot Armor?
>navel piercing
Not even once
it takes a lot of time and effort you dumbasses
why so negative
from what i see, they're actually making relatively good investments - buying houses for example
and a lot of them live really fucking conservatively which is weird because the stereotype is that they would splurge all that money on useless shit
>zany loud musics cuts in
>"Hey 420yoloblazeit thanks for following! Welcome to the gangbang!"
>people should be on a platform and not try to grow on the platform
Imagine being this retarded
In case you guys are not convinced, this is Big Ed. He's a big guy.
>I see you're playing a video game
>I am going to give you money now
you don't seriously do this, do you?
well, they can't if i don't have a patreon set up...
sucker!
Jeff Gerstmann does streams from his home a couple of times a month. Free (with no way to actually give any money) and worth watching if you like old games and hearing a knowledgeable guy talk about them.
This one just went up today;
youtube.com
Is that why you watch him?
>Not just finding a small comfy circle of friends to stream and watch streams with
>have Prime for past few months but haven't used free sub on any channels
FeelsGoodMan
Darksydephil is pretty good
I do that but eventually we meet up irl and they become my clients.
that isn't aris wtf
Sorry I don't watch other men masturbate on the internet.
I started watching him because I was playing State of Decay and hardly anyone was streaming it. I've long since moved on from that game but he hasn't. It really gave me a window into the life of a retired 70 year old American boomer man who hates his wife and can't control his dogs.
>lucked out and got partnered
>have about 10 subscribers
>loyal fanbase that watches no matter what I play
>get to play videogames and chill with a handful of viewers
this is the life bros
Get back to working on your failed stream, nerd
I would rather give $50 a year to Jeff to play old games and bullshit about them from his home then pay $50 a year to the entirety of Giant Bomb these days.
what's his channel?
I can't seem to find it on twitch dude
DSP does all of that though
I rarely hear Jerma even mention subs or donations. Only time he does is when someone donates a ridiculous amount like $50 or $100. Which rarely happens.
binyot
>youtuber makes really entertaining videos
>they start streaming
>they're no fun allowed and completely unlikable
>autists watching other autists
Nailed it desu.
Twitch is like anything else in the world, if you don't like it - don't engage with it.
And if you're going to be jealous of people for getting wealthy/being successful why would you be envious of twitch streamers? I know playing vidya for 8+ hours a day doesn't seem like much work but there are Saudi princes and shit born every day that will never have to work any amount at all and will be infinitely richer than even the most successful twitch streamer will ever be.
Personally I don't understand why you would ever donate or sub to a twitch streamer unless you got something extremely hard to get/niche out of it - its basically the same as tipping a cam girl, why would I do it when I know greasyspaniard84 will do it for me, I still get to watch her masturbate
whoa people are worse in real time than they are in very edited versions of themselves who knew
some people cannot survive when their jump cuts are taken away from them
I actually got partnered as well but quit.
I was really happy since oh wow free money, but then the pressure of greeting subbers, playing new games (i'm a filthy casual) and be good at it, having a target goal was just too much for me i eventually quit. I apologized personally to all of my subbers about quitting since i really really felt bad about getting their money and npw playing regularly that much. Asked them to unsub since i don't deserve it at all
>people make shit I like
>give them money to continue doing so
the only guy I even subscribe to is TheGreatTeacher and even then its mostly because I like Retardy and the little community we have.
>w-why doesn't HE have to wagecuck for Mr. Shekelstein?!
I'm as envious as you, don't worry.
let's make this simple. most of Twitch is bad, yes. But there are smaller channels that are cancer free, which are enjoyable.
many "big" streamers are AIDS fests, avoid those. also avoid the camwhores.
Lifecoach doesnt even have a donate option.
And has 0 icons so no use in subbing.
His description says dont sub or smth..
Hes a millionere tho
I dont get the fascination
she's a hobbit with no legs
i only sub to hot guys
sorry everyone who streams and also posts to Sup Forums
>Emotes are banned in Bro Team's chat
I already thought the guy was pretty cool but that pretty much just pushed it to a whole other level, Emotes are fucking annoying as shit. Also helps that he basically doesn't care what literally anyone thinks of what he does.
I don't know how people who pursue careers as streamers do it.
I thank people for subs and tell them I appreciate the support, but try to put an emphasis beforehand that I don't do anything special like "subscriber only matches" or "subscriber movie night."
Don't put too much pressure on yourself, you should play games because you enjoy it. The audience worth waiting for will come :)
Whoever invented twitch alerts or whatever is actually to blame.
There was a time where no one called out their subs, resubs or donations, there was no alert on screen, there was no jingle that played, there was no thanks for subbing to my cool club, people just played vidya
Then slowly donation stuff started happening, at first it was funny cause people didn't donate too much and it was mostly text to speech, but people got addicted to their name and some dumb shit appearing on stream for 10 seconds, hell maybe the streamer will even acknowledge it/respond.
I think the last part of this post is actually the most accurate, the people that donate/sub on twitch are the same that donate to cam whores.
That said if I was even a semi-popular streamer I would for fucking sure just have media request on or whatever its called 24/7. $5 or something per song, if I/the process was popular enough I'd even be like yo if you drop $50 your song goes right to the top of the queue to be played next.
Really I'm surprised no ones tried this - maybe its too obviously just milking retards for cash?
>not feigning mental illness to get a government pension to stay home and play vidya all day ery day
step it up senpai
Does anyone have any theories on what makes a good twitch channel?
I stream some nights, but never get above 2 or 3 viewers. how do I get started?
appeal to the casual normies, that's the trick
or be an atleast 6/10 female
I'd follow the Uncle Remus method, but when universal background checks inevitably get passed I want to be able to keep and continue purchasing muh guns.
>subscriber movie night
what the fucking fuck is that fucking gay shit? people actually pay money for that? gay
Dsp got banned ok carry on
dsp bans his cock on streams
>ruining the atmosphere of basically any vidya you're playing by having someone's request of All-Star blaring over it
confirmed casual as fuck.
I think he just streams on youtube so I don't catch him live once, but I quite like neocranium
youtube.com
dudes a bit weird though
I hate to be that guy but camwhoring is a cancer on twitch
>durr you're gay
no, sluts pretending to play games have no place on a gaming site.
Anyone saying they're not in it for the money wouldn't be a partner or affiliate in the first place. You have to go through a fucking annoying 3 week period to get partnership, atop dozens of legal forms you have to sign, and I hear affiliate is pretty annoying too but without the real life paperwork.
I stream literally entirely 100% for the money. If I just wanted to play the game, I wouldn't spend an hour setting up all the equipment to stream, I'd play the game for an hour.
That said, you have to say you're not in it for the money because otherwise sheeple start thinking you're trying to abuse them and exploit them for money (which you are, but they're too stupid to realize it if you just say "no i'm not".)
Don't catch him live much*
Zizaran
>They make Twitch so they can separate the video games from Justin.tv
>Today, now Twitch is no different from Justin.tv
streaming was a mistake.
