I was just at Shartmart right now to pick up some groceries and maybe a 20$ steam card.
I noticed that they had a Switch display/demo thing set up when I went to grab that card, and I decided to try it out for a few minutes before I rung up all my items. I really do not like how the controller feels, even with the pro controller thing. The sticks and the controllers as a whole just feel so small and delicate, felt like I was going to break it. I tried playing the MK8 demo but the controls felt weird as hell. I can understand if you like Nintendo games like FE but why do people hold such a high regard for the Switch? apart from the portability gimmick I don't see anything that really stands out about it. I think BOTW is cool and all but I don't think it's really worth shelling out money to get an entirely new console to play it, especially when it's on the Wii U.

you should try splat 2, mk8d, and kingdom battle. XC2 and ARMS as a maybe depending on how you feel after looking at them, and in ARMS' case how much you can get it for.

I tried the first splatoon and I didn’t have much fun with it. I also have no interesting in buying mk8 for a second time. Rabbids is an easy pass because I don’t care for the xcom-style gameplay nor those awful characters that are the video game equivalent of minions. Never played any of the xeno games, but none of them looked like they were up my alley, and least of all xc2 after I watched some let’s plays to get an idea of how it plays. Arms is an interesting idea, but I don’t much care for fighting games, and I suck complete dick at them.

I appreciate you trying to help, and I don’t want to seem like I’m shooting your ideas down, but rest assured I’ve been trying to find literally any game lately that interests me, even on steam. I just play rocket league and pubg over and over until I can find a new game to play.

Until then, I’m stuck in this hell.

that's exactly why the 5 games rule exists, as that way it's incredibly unlikely that you won't have anything to play, and if they're 5 big/AAA titles than they should provide more time for you. I guess the only other things I can suggest is to check out some eShop titles, Fast RMX is meant to be excellent (not picked it up myself yet, though); Golf Story is also popular; celeste (even though it's multiplat); that pacman game; etc. DQ Builders seemed decent, there's a demo on the eShop for that.
