I don't think I can settle on one, but I really like Half-Life 1 and modded STALKER.
This game was pretty perfect aside from the load times and the FOV felt a bit too narrow.
FEAR Extraction Point.
favorite single player is probably Half Life Opposing Force
fave multi is Overwatch
I need to play those games.
...
I'm an oldfag - Wolfenstien in an Arcade cabinet. It was played with a flight/control stick. It was a strange time back then.
Killzone? Really?
Are opposing force and blue shift really that different from the first one? I've had them in my library forever but never played
Whats wrong with it?
I really enjoyed Killzone 2 Not OP btw
Most likely a PCancer.
>nu-PC.ucks will NEVER EVER experience KZ2 multiplayer
yes. OpFor is Super Half-Life; faster, more weapons, enemies, bosses, better A.I., just all around a better game. Blue Shift is decent but I wouldn't really recommend it unless you must know what it is. It's really short, easy, it's got less weapons than HL1, and it has a pretty boring ending.
>fave multi is Overwatch
Disgusting please leave.
modern warfare 2
...
Killzone 2 multiplayer was excellent, it had such a unique weight of movement.
Really sad the later games went CoD clone.
How is it possible to from bro to hoe so fast
XIII and tribes 2
Half-Life 2
>constantly glitches out
>AI sometimes behaves oddly and sometimes goes into borderline silly territory
>mods are a total mess too
>somehow manages to be the most atmospheric FPS focused on combat
STALKER is just so good for such a weird game, Metro might try but it wont ever capture me like STALKER does.
Metro 2033 was a wonderful experience
On the Multiplayer side I'm having a blast with TItanfall2
>constantly glitches out
not that much anymore
>AI sometimes behaves oddly and sometimes goes into borderline silly territory
yes, but you equally get really good ai behaviour like a bloodsucker kicking your ass, mutants eating eachother, stalker skirmishes, etc.
>mods are a total mess too
what mods arent? i prefer vanilla anyway
>somehow manages to be the most atmospheric FPS focused on combat
freedom of movement, amazing weather effects, great skyboxes, campfires, its all there
No, I played and enjoyed them. It's just that, his favourite? Really? I don't get it. There are so many things wrong with the Killzone games compared to other FPS games.
Perfect Dark
My nigger.
Though, for favorite Multi its a tie between World at War and Black Ops 1.
I’m not gonna lie. The pinnacle of FPS for me was CoD4. It just never got any better than that. I was super into halo 3 and when I got call of duty I just never looked back. And halo 3 was a hell of a game too
IF it wasn’t for the horrendous input lag that game would have been almost literally perfect
Resistance Fall of Man
It is still phenomenal even with it. They improved it a bit with a patch and then further in KZ3. Although perhaps they went a bit too far with KZ3 since guns have much less recoil than in KZ2. Making them feel less powerful and more similar to other games.
Single-player - Resistance 3 or Stalker: Call of Pripyat
Multiplayer - Rainbow Six: Siege
50,000 people used to live here...
now it’s a ghost town
Also not trying to excuse the input lag. KZ2 definitely could have been better in that regard and still kept the heavy feel it was going for. It is a bit ridiculous though when you jump or reload it seems like your character reacts half a second after you press the button.
400 people use to play here...
now it's a ghost town
Gotta admit the Call Of Duty wack-a-mole style of combat's worn a bit thin, Modern Warfare 1 was probably the last to give real enjoyment. Anything after that went a bit Michael Bay; turned from a real world game to something that could star Dwayne Johnson.
OpFor fags fuck off
op4 has more stuff but it's not as well thought out, shock troopers and voltigores are really damage spongey unless you want to blow your displacer ammo on them. also the bosses are all shit.
It’s not just you, I felt the same way. Believe me when I say this. It’s not the game getting old. It’s the new games getting worse. I replayed CoD4 and it is objectively better than black ops 3 in every single meaningful category
Old Halo. Basically everything before 4
I was always so hyped when I'd get a 40 v 40 in deathmatch. Conversion was also a fun to mix things up.
God PS2 was a goddamn travesty compared to this
Doom + .wads for singleplayer.
TF2 for multi.
Ya honestly a PC port for kz2 fixing all the issues the ps3 version had, would make me cream my damn pants.
Stylistically it was one of the best games I’ve ever seen. It’s just that multiplayer balance was off. I wish they had done some balancing updates into the games lifespan
Campaign: Killzone
Multiplayer: MW2 but Resistance fall of man and killzone 2 are also up there.
PC port is pure fantasy but I get what you mean. The game might not have had the best balance but it was only really certain things and classes. Most notable to me being the sniper class being too cheap thanks to cloak and the rocket class having boost. Rockets themselves were often a free kill since the maps are mostly small with lots of players. Also shame there was no class for LMG besides the basic soldier with no abilities.
Killzone never gets the credit it really deserved, you know? Halo is great, but I always liked the dark vibe of Killzone, so that's my favorite console wise. PC wise I'd say F.E.A.R or Half Life 2
>I always liked the dark vibe of Killzone
It was great art style for the games until shadow fall.
