Yeah, and, you know, we had a good run. I'd rather have it die like this than continue with the carnival of shit that started with MGSV's botched development. It already cemented itself in videogame history as a memorable and influential series.
Snake's story ended long ago anyway and Big Boss' story is about as entertaining as watching paint dry.

I doubt Konami will make another AAA game besides PES if that even counts.

At least Rising and PO weren't recycled trash ridden with microtransactions. In fact, Rising wasn't shitty at all and at least PO tried to do something new. It's the precursor to PW anyway.

but u gotta admit that no one plays Rising for the story and that the studio behind it did a really good job at making a fun and challenging experience

I did, and the gameplay fell short for me too. The hack and slash was dull, it was a worse DMC. Music was decent, but not very MG. Just a bad spinoff, and an ok game
