Anyone else glad traditional handhelds are finally dead? It's just a few less systems that you need to seek out and collect for. Hybrids like the Switch just streamline everything and ease up your wallet.

>Gamecube + GBA
>PS2 + PSP
>PS3 + PS Vita
>Wii + DS
>Wii U + 3DS

You no longer need a both home console + inferior handheld companion to experience as many games/series as possible, like SMT & Pokemon. I really appreciate this change. I hope Sony doesn't make a complimentary handheld if they ever decide to make another handheld system.

>I hope Sony doesn't make a complimentary handheld if they ever decide to make another handheld system.
don't worry, they gave up making handhelds after the Vita bombed. They know they cannot compete.

>$60 for games
>accessories are overpriced too
>terrible battery life
>screen prone to scratching
>games might be unoptimised for portable mode or docked mode based on whichever the developer feels like they care about
>shitty touch screen that very few games will ever use due to being portable only

freeshop for switch and im sold to fucking Satan's asshole itself

I agree completely.

I always saw handhelds as a problem, and would have preferred every game on a home console to be played on a television if I had the option. I haven't touched my N3DSXL since MM3D & MH4 came out, and I'll have to dust it off to play Metroid, but wish I didn't have to.

Nigger

Switch is literally a handheld though. It has yet to and never will run a new, modern game.

Stupid nintendo cuck. I'm sorry is the new monster hunter on the switch? No? Huh weird.

You're just shitting on the Switch, which isn't even the point. It's still preferable to buying 2 systems to get most out of the generation. At least you know everything will be on that one system, instead of forking over close to $200 for a Pokemon and Fire Emblem machine. It's just objectively better for so many reasons.

>devs no longer split between 2 systems (handheld & home console)
>you save tons of money
etc

>i-it's getting dark souls 1!

Doom?

>Switch
>easing up your wallet
Pick fucking one.

>D44M
>Wolfenstein: New Order

>implying MH World is a demanding game
That game is literally Xbox 360 tier. Just tone down the unnecessary foliage count and it could easily run on last-generation systems. It's not like it's some dense open world game. It's just corridors and a couple monsters.

Doom and wolfenstein are just corridors with a couple monsters. Small, instanced levels, and unironically the worst way to experience those games is in the switch. Could care less about your opinion of monster hunter or your buttmad it can't be played on a switch.

>games might be unoptimised for portable mode
Xenoblade 2 PTSD kicking in real hard.

>ease up your wallet.
>$60 games + paid online

I'm glad Sup Forums is still mad about the Switch. Makes playing the games comfier.

I don't mind the price. Even Doom is worth the price I paid for it now, with motion controls enabled. Hope to finish Celeste today, have a nice day, kids.

It's not and good for you being a dumb nigger that haven't even played the game

>"Switch can't run modern games"
>modern games are just glorified last-generation games
>Switch can run last-generation games
>"b-but cucktendo"
>meanwhile he's the one getting cucked this generation after paying for 4k Minecraft machines

Damn... so this is the extent of capability of your Xbox One X (tm) and PS4 Pro (tm) systems, huh?

>the worst way to experience those games is in the switch
not when they have motion controls, makes them better than the other console versions simply because aiming has a lot more speed/precision than is possible on other consoles. PC version still best by miles, mind you.
