>DUDE ROBOTS ARE PEOPLE TOO
DUDE ROBOTS ARE PEOPLE TOO
All the humans (all sentient organics, really) are long dead in this story so I don't think that was the message
The humans arent dead.
Yes they are, secondary faggot.
So then it goes back to my original point, robots are human too.
Can something that's effectively immortal be the same as a human?
I think the irony is that they long to be human whereas mankind seeked immortality in whatever form they can get
What
>DUDE WE ARE PERPETUATING THE CYCLE AND REPEATING PAST MISTAKES
you don't get the madman yoko taro's genious
They are perpetuating human charactaristics and showing human emotions.
Can we all agree that 2B without her blindfold goggles looks ugly?
It's not that she looks ugly without it, it's that cute girls look cuter wearing a mask that hides most of their face.
>humans are dead
>n-no, they're alive cause androids and machines are imitating them
So can we all agree that this is the BioShock Infinite of japanese games?
that's the point
...
Yeah, that's pretty much the average Nier fan
>t. PCbro
But the SJWs hate 2B! So this has to be good, right? Right?
I played it on ps4
Redpill me on Yorha Boys, is it fujobait?
DUDE I PLAY THE GAME CAUSE SHE'S SEXY LMAO
I WANT 2B TO PEG ME
FUCK ME I'M SUCH A IRONIC WEEB
I got bored of this game after finding the underground place with the two dudes. I decided to go around doing side quests before teleporting to the ship. The combat is shit for a Platinum game, in fact I've been saying that about a lot of their games lately.
I only bought it because of the hints of genius I was picking up on in the threads here, can anyone just spoil things for me in a quick summary? I'm not the kind of person that watches let's plays.
>waaaaah it's not bayonetta!!!
The ultimate filter, based Yoko Taro. Platinum fans are fucking cancer
>playing the game for a Platinum game and not a Yoko Taro one
Can secondaries just fuck off already?
I played it for the soundtrack. That city theme was 10/10
yoko taro the most based mad man btfo every curayze gamers
Now that I'm in the 9S portion of the game, I can't anymore. The ending to Route A was always boring me as it is due to the simplistic combat, running back and forth, back and forth..
I just can't do it all over again to justify maybe less than a hour of new cutscenes. Least with Nier there were the weapons, and other stuff that would be behind the other weapons, so that would give me something to do, but there's no extra drops, weapons, or quests. So no. I can't.
I rinsed Nier Gestalt, I just expected the combat to be worthwhile with Platinum on board. They might as well have not bothered.
ITT: Faggots

Rude
>I just can't do it all over again to justify maybe less than a hour of new cutscenes
good thing there's much more than that
>but there's no extra drops, weapons, or quests
wrong, wrong, and wrong. How can you be so retarded to miss all the obviously locked chests in your first playthrough? And there are new sidequests + everything after the giant sea machine is different as 9S
It's good fujobait
>It's not possible for robots to have emotions
says the fucking android which is literally just a robot with better design.
the two dudes are robots, 2B kills the older one and the younger ones loses his shit and gets killed too
then actual war starts happening for a few minutes but then some virus got uploaded or something and your team gets btfo
2B dies thanks to virus, A2 mercy kills her
9S sees this and loses his shit
a big tower pops out of the ground
then you play as A2 and 9S alternating between each other beating up robots in floating cylinders
then they get on the tower
then they kill each other
then they come back to life
that's the point
YoRHa androids even use the same AI cores as machines
>ironic weebs get defensive about their flawed shitpile
God, add in the autism of Platinumfags, the Yoko Taro autists, a boring anime girl main character, and you got the recipe for the most shilled average game in Sup Forums's existence.
>DUDE 2B IS SO SEXUALIZED TAROSHIT IS DEAD
>2B
>main character
Try actually playing the game before shitposting
Oh.
Well, the music was nice.
>telling the truth
get the fuck out of here, now
It literally is just a copy of Fallout 4
People who consider pets higher than humans are a thing, bro.
it's ok
I don't like the new singer desu, her singing gets really obnoxious
>playing any game that tries to make me think robots have feelings
>have absolutely no hesitation killing all of them unless they're useful to me
>Fallout 4 tries to make me feel bad for synths
>literally give not a single minute fuck and kill them all, even the ones that look human
Who's with me?
how do they come back to life
does fagboy forgive A2 and they fug?
This is actually explained while in Automatashit there is no explanation whatsoever.
It just proves that Taro is a hack like Kojima.
is it burger hours already?
A2 was the good guy all along.
2B is the bad guy and was killing 9S over and over again if he learns too much about how shady their organization really is.
Pods saved and rebuilt them after they became sentient
damn
the staff roll is a minigame and the reward for winning is that they come back to life
>WAAAH I NEED AN EXPLANATION FOR EVERYTHING
Back to Clemps and ValkyrieAurora, they have some good videos for you to watch!
>minigame
honest question to you nier/tarofags, do you like these hacking sections? because I truly despised them
imagine depriving yourself of the most innovative game of 2017 because it's not like platinum's usual mindless button mashers
not as much of an asspull from the first game at least
>killing 9S over and over again
Why not just turn him off???????
Trash writing as expected from a nip.
I don't get it. Are you saying I have asbergers?
If the game tells me they're not human, and that they're created in a factory/lab, and that they have simulated feelings and emotions, then they're robots. It's not a moral quandary.
The unique ones were pretty good like the one when you hack A2 4 times in a row
>most innovative game of 2017
lol
what did it do?
they only take like 5 seconds max during normal gameplay but for the other longer times they kind of mix it up a little bit so it's not too bad imo
Robots are not alive. This is why I won't be playing this shit game.
Sup Forums can't stop jacking off to it and saying that robots are humans when they're not.
Oh I'm sorry. The two boring female designs and fujobait playable characters. My bad. Go hump your 2B Dakimakura. Our exchange is the only meaningful human contact you're gonna have in your sad life today.
NierA fans genuinely think it's a clever game. I wouldn't drag it down to Bioshock Infinite levels, because it at least makes use of gameplay to aid the storytelling, but it's really not a complex or deep game at all. Worse yet, the gameplay isn't actually good - it's not bad either, but for all it attempts to do, none of it is done particularly well.
>do it once on her
>she loses 90% of her health
because he's exceptionally good at his job
Zero is my waifu
I jack off to dat ass, but I have no illusions that it's a human ass.
Zero is everyone's waifu
no one plays drakengard go away
>2B
>A2
>main character
Just admit you haven't played it, shitposter
NO! MINE ALONE DELETE THIS
Which is a shame. I revisited it by removing any chips snd the hacking game climaxes in 9S deleting her OS
not that guy but while I do agree that 9S gets most of the spotlight, I wouldn't go as far as to say that 2B and A2 aren't main characters as well
I'd say NieR is a worse offender of this, the "epic twist" of Route B overstays its welcome, especially since you need to replay the game twice more to get C and D endings. Not to mention the Western pandering of Father Nier detriments the game a lot.
>ecelebs/youtubers
This is why this board is shit. That sweet ad money made sure all good content migrated to YouTube and literally all that is left here is ironic shitposting.
I don't like people who think with their dicks either. If this is what the fanbase of nier looks like, I won't be trying this fapbait game. This is probably why anyone gave it a high score. Just because they fapped to it.
>Sup Forums
Why are you making it easy to spot the bait?
you're a robot too. your flesh is nothing more than a biomachine that follows its inherent programming we call "instincts" and "emotions". it doesn't matter if you're built out of carbon or metal, the mind is what makes one a person, not their vessel's construction blocks.
>making slaves sentient in the first place
>Hurr it's not a small v so it's bait
We need to become stronger than robots somehow. We can't let the slaves be stronger than us.
absolutely hated it
It wasn't as bad as people say, it was neat but I wouldn't say it was a highlight of the game. Now, as for 9S' combat, it really isn't bad. It weeds out the shitters who didn't even know he's great for comboing.
tell that to the annunaki.
It was extremely repetitive. By the time the more unique ones appeared at the end you are already so fed up with that shitty minigame that you just want to get done with it as quickly as possible.
Oh, definitely. They clearly learned how to deliver a lot of elements better in Automata, but it still struggles to find substance with its narrative. It's clear the desire for a sort of "meta" storytelling is there, but the sad thing is how the plot delivery would be if it wasn't actually hidden by an attempt to make it work the way they're trying. It's a great idea, and I think that's why it resonates with people, but when you have a better story to tell then maybe it'll work a lot better.
In favor of NieR, I think the characters are more intricate, NierA seems very focused on building up to key moments that it forgets to actually let the characters breathe, there's no sense of natural interactions. I may be remembering NieR too fondly and giving it more credit in that regard than it actually earned, but Automata seems hollow by comparison.
I thought the story sections with hacking were great, infiltrating bunker's server, 9S conversation with Adam, abandoned factory route B, more in the soul box and tower
and fading into 8-bit remixes of the area's song while hacking was a very nice touch
it's not like you have to combo in this game
>playing on normal/easy
>We can't let the slaves be stronger than us.
Why? They would be just like tools we use. Gun can't revolt.
>I am not a gun
what? I played on hard and I spent most of my time crowd controlling with pod programs and throwing the greatsword
though the only somewhat challenging part of the game was probably the beginning where you can't save
>throwing the greatsword
did you stop after route A or something?
no but I played the game like exactly a year ago so I may have skimped out on the details
only reason i would play this game is because 2b has a cute butt desu senpai
>In favor of NieR, I think the characters are more intricate, NierA seems very focused on building up to key moments that it forgets to actually let the characters breathe, there's no sense of natural interactions. I've been thinking a lot about how I felt with both games, but when people say the characters are "better" in NieR, I feel like they just miss the party banter. One of the main issues I had with NieR was that I didn't care for Yonah as much as the game wanted me to. If I remember correctly, you got one sidequest where Yonah cooks for you, and that's it. You get the loading screen diary entries from Yonah too, but that's not nearly enough. By the end, I cared for Kaine and Weiss more. Seeing Yonah walk towards you but actually walk towards Shadowlord was an eye-roller, to be honest. Same goes for the people of Facade, I just didn't like them a lot. Meanwhile I resonated more with the characters in Automata, and that's not to mention how the NPCs such as machines actually have personality compared to the bland townspeople in NieR.
>but when you have a better story to tell then maybe it'll work a lot better.
What was wrong about the story? Actual question. I found it to be better compared to the first NieR. Again, coming back to Yonah and how much I didn't care for her, she was the driving force of Nier's character, and by extension the player. I remember slogging through NieR, with only the music to keep me going. Don't get me wrong, Ending B's twist forced you to recontextualize everything that occurred in the game, and was impactful in some ways. However, the game loses steam until you get to the endings themselves.
>clemps/aurora
>"good content"
uhhhh
