Reminder that Haru's father did nothing wrong aside from running a successful business to provide for his ungrateful daughter; and the phantom thieves murdered him for that.
Reminder that Haru's father did nothing wrong aside from running a successful business to provide for his ungrateful...
Okumura looks like my dad. My dad used to beat me if I played games for too long
Talk shit get hit
Nah OP, he won a popularity poll, that means he needs to go. The unenlightened masses CAN make a judgement call.
other than horrible work conditions which probably violated some workers rights. not to mention killing off competition. and PT didnt kill him off
>cognitive version of him dies
>takes two weeks to actually die irl
One thing I didn't like was that Haru never explicitly told her dad how abusive the arranged boyfriend was. She always acts meek and says generic stuff like "I don't wanna, I dont like him", it may be possible that if she told him explicitly what waa going on he's stop it.
Also, it's weird that Haru trusts the phantom theives so quickly after her father's death. I mean they explain why, because of an unknown third party, but its just weird to see her trust the group so soon after that.
>but its just weird to see her trust the group so soon after that.
They're probably the first friends around her age she's ever had, so she probably attached to the group a little too strongly, especially since she needed them then more than ever since literally nobody else would've been there to support her.
>it may be possible that if she told him explicitly what was going on he's stop it.
Probably, but also remember he was marrying her off because getting Haru's fiancee in the family/business would've benefited the company greatly. He could've been equally likely to tell Haru to suck it up and deal with it for the benefit of the company instead.
It's a Japanese thing that you bring a great shame on yourself by being an abused victim
Was that the guy that saw everyone as robots and the staff "breaks" lasted like literally 5 seconds?
At my job everyone is an incompetent, lazy retard, I can't really blame the guy.
GIVE UP FREE WILL FOREVER THE VOICES WON'T BE HEARD AT ALL
>Futaba sleeps for three whole weeks uninterrupted
they didint murder him but brainwash was not the answer either.
most underrated song in the game. its woke.
>BUT DUDE ADULTS ARE EVIL!!!
Persona 5 was so disappointing
They didn't kill him tho
The arranged marriage was a bit much but yeah, I didn't want to do it at all
If I'm supposed to be the leader then at least give me a bit of control, shit
you leader in namn only. that has been the case since 3.
oh shit, I just realized that this was like the Black Mirror episode with the death poll and the killer bees
Just like your post
1. Okumura was 100% going to die regardless by Akechi, his death was delayed to make your group the fall guy.
2. Akechi also murdered Futaba's mother, he even gloats to Shido that Wakaba wouldn't have had to die I'd she'd just handled over her data. The SIU DIRECTOR also got whacked, that's 2 murders by the same guy. Akechi was a clean up man.
3. Luring the Phantom Thieves to kill Okumura was always bad bait. He was a generic business man, that was the point. Morgana and the schism with the group happened because they didn't wanna go to the next big job without thinking it over, Morgana ironically is the one who got them to take the Akechi bait. Okumura take tangibly knowing Shido wasn't a big deal, Shido made deals with everyone. The 5th palace didn't communicate the feeling that maybe you were better off not messing with Okumura, he wasn't holding any secrets about Shido in his palace which was a red flag this guy was just a stooge and massive bait.
4. We don't know how sincere Okumura was in his shadow form, all P5 villain shadows amplify only they bad traits. Cartoon villains because their source material are their originals negative emotions without any of the good qualities or desires that make a person whole.
5. Haru compartlized the whole week of grief. This is real human psychology, it's why some people seem tone deaf until the reality sinks in when their current issues re resolved and they can grief properly. Happens more than you think in real life, Mitsuru in Persona 3 was the opposite and had a month long mental blockage of grief since she was a huge daddy's girl. Haru wanted vengeance immediately, them comes the grieving.
